" "BOWLER STORE" sold me two pairs of these, one for myself and the other for my son. My son's was a perfect fit. Although the length was spot on in comparison to my street shoes (11), the width was off. 5), these shoes were much narrower, causing my feet to be pinched. All but $8 of my purchase price was credited to me after I returned them. When I inquired as to why the money had been held back, they only said: "Return shipping was deducted as these are not defective. "br>br>So be aware that if you buy from BowlerStore and they don't fit, you will be charged for shipping. I buy everything from Amazon because I know I can return anything if it doesn't fit. There is no indication that BowlerStore does not offer free returns anywhere that I can see. br>br>I wouldn't pay $8 to try on a pair of shoes in a store, so why would I do it online? Amazon doesn't charge a return fee, so I wasn't expecting it, especially since it wasn't stated clearly. I'm not going back to BowlerStore! After reading this review, I'm sure they'll agree with me.
These are stunning shoes! They are extremely light and comfortable to wear. My feet are wide (I can't wear converse, nike, or adidas classics), and these shoes fit perfectly. The color scheme and construction are both excellent! I normally wear a size 10 shoe, and these are a perfect fit.
Bowling is a new sport for me. When I've had a good day, I treat myself. I started with these shoes and have been very happy with them. I adjust the tightness of the fit according to the thickness of my socks. From the beginning, it was a pleasure to be in. It's far superior to renting footwear. I'd buy them again if I wore them out, unless my game improved significantly, in which case I'd spend even more. A bag serves as the first goal, followed by a ball.
The shoes are very nice, and the sizing is very accurate, which is not the case with most shoes nowadays. Comfortable, and the inner liner can be removed for those who, like me, prefer to wear a shoe insert. I gave it one star because it leaves a smudge mark on the approach where my trail foot slides, but it was comfortable from the start. I own three other pairs of shoes and have never seen a mark like this on any of them. Fortunately, I am left-handed and have never bowled too close to the line, so I haven't seen how it has impacted other bowlers, but I suspect it has.
Unfortunately, I received these just before the pandemic, so I only used them once. They, on the other hand, were comfortable and well-fitting. They didn't require any break-in time and were extremely comfortable. To be honest, I'd prefer my regular shoes to be as comfortable, and the color is also very nice. The white was obviously very white, but it wasn't particularly reflective or bright, so it didn't stand out.
Remember how excited you were when you got new tennis shoes as a kid? Remember how much faster you were able to run in your new shoes? This is the same case. Two straight strikes in my new bowling shoes, and I'm so close to a turkey! I'm not a particularly good bowler, but the first time I put these on, I got two strikes. All joking aside, they appear to be well-made and of high quality. I would definitely recommend them because they are very comfortable and true to size.
A 9 1/2 wide shoe is the best fit for me. However, in order for me to fit, I usually need to order a size 10. I took a chance and ordered a size 9 1/2 wide, and the shoelaces were already in place when they arrived. They were incredibly tight when I put them on. They fit nearly perfectly after loosening the shoelaces and adjusting the tongue; they are a little tight at first, but that will loosen up with time; my only complaint is that one of the shoelaces was frayed and needed to be replaced. In order for the left shoe to slide on the bowling alley, I had to powder it thoroughly. They're keepers, and they're only the second pair I've ever had in my 40 years of bowling. I'm hoping they last as long as the first pair did.
This pair of shoes is attractive. Initially, the fit was a bit snug. The insoles can be removed, which is a good thing. I took them out and replaced them with thinner inserts purchased from a drug store. They now have a better fit. Although the toe ends of the shoes are a little narrow, they are still comfortable enough to wear for short periods of time.
