When I first started bowling, I purchased this pair of shoes. I knew nothing about bowling, but when I saw the name Brunswick, I figured shoes are shoes, and Brunswick is a good name. Since then, I've learned whether to buy shoes for the right or left foot. You have slides on one foot and grips on the other. The so-called "universal" shoes combine the worst of both worlds. Your drive foot does not have full grip, and your slide foot does not have the best slide. On drier approaches, my feet stick to the lane and I don't slide, which is extremely frustrating and exhausting for your slide leg. If your approach is inconsistent, you will not be able to bowl consistently. br>br>Ultra-universal shoes are a waste of money.
My 15-year-old son participates in a league and also bowls for school. I needed a new pair of shoes for him because his old ones were worn out. I ordered these for him because they had good reviews and he wanted a sporty shoe. I ordered a 10 because he had been wearing a 10 for a long time and none were available in that size. They came in a set of five and were the perfect fit for him. He appears to be content with his current situation. There are no issues.
These shoes are fantastic, especially considering the price. Do not buy a size smaller than your normal sneaker size, as most of us have done with rentals; these fit true to size, and so far they have held up well after a few months of league and practice, but a good show brush and protective covers should also be on your list to protect your investment.
These are my favorite shoes. I've been using them on a weekly basis for the past two months and find them to be both comfortable and practical. I believe they are a little on the large side. I usually wear a size 9 but had to exchange it for a size 8 1/2, which was a much better fit.
They're light, have a great fit, and a smooth slide. I suggest ordering a half-size larger. They were a little small, even though I ordered them in my normal shoe size. Consider these shoes: I reordered a half size larger and they fit perfectly. They won't improve your bowling average on their own - but they can help. But, man, you'll be at ease and look fantastic!.

This shoe has a mesh upper and fits like a slipper, but if you're a bowler in the 180 - 200 pound range, this shoe isn't for you. I had to return them and go back to a leather (or synthetic material) shoe with more support across the ball of the foot and instep because they didn't have enough lateral (side to side) support for my 220 lb class.
br>I reasoned that instead of renting worn-out and uncomfortable shoes, I should buy them. br>These are fantastic, they fit perfectly, and they look fantastic. br>I am extremely happy.
