The new version is a great improvement over Storm's previous one. You can apply tape easily and adjust it if necessary. The bowling ball I use has never required me to switch to another piece in eight game tournaments. Keeping the thumb on your thumb during the throw is great, and it also makes it easy to peel the thumb off when you're done. A fast release speed does no better for me since I have a fast ball speed and high rev rate and like to get it off my thumb as fast as possible. I find that the slow release speed is the most rough surface, while medium and fast are the smoothest. The company does offer a small pack of all three also, so you can choose the one that works best If you are trying to maintain a consistent release through your set, this tape comes in very handy. The part of mine I put halfway down the thumb nail is my favorite. A fantastic feature of this product is that it helps prevent the outside of your thumb from rubbing against the ball over time. Whenever I travel with an accessory bag, I always have this tape with me. The price is excellent for the amount of tape you get as well.

There are three different packs pictured in the description as I assumed I would receive three when, in reality, I received only one. It would be better to change the picture of the item rather than falsely advertising.
