What are the uses of these? I believe they're used inside the thumb hole. ?

This is correct. The black tape is designed to be applied inside the thumb hole in order to tighten it. Please take note White tape has a textured surface, making it difficult for the tape to release smoothly. In order to keep their hands light, many bowlers use black in the back of the thumb hole and white in the front.

Tape is a new medium for me. Where can I find out if I need 3/4 or 1" pipe? Do I need to use a thumb width, or is there something else I need to take into account? I appreciate it! ?

Depending on how big the hole is and how it feels, you might need to fill it. It is most often possible to get by with 3/4.

Did you know that the tape could be used as a quick release thumb ?

It's strong and holds well. The tape has a nice texture that's easy to grip. At this point, there are no noted issues.

*Conclusion Good grip tape of high quality. The bowling ball thumbhole on my (storm surelock) bowling ball was a bit larger than I wanted it to be. On my back swing, I felt like I was going to drop the ball! The number I put was 1 The thumbhole is made up of 2 pieces and is very comfortable to wear. The same pieces of tape have held up very well over a period of about ten games. I did not slip or move while bowling with the tape. This tape is worth listening to.

An Apple Pencil Grip will help you hold it better

It works well with an Apple Pencil, even though this tape is set up for bowling! The silicone pencil grips for the Apple Pencil appear to be the most effective way to add grip to the device. Other silicone based pencil grips don't come close to adding the texture necessary to grip the Additionally, this tape is very thick, so the pencil can be inserted into iPad cases that have the pencil holder on them. The purchase was definitely worth it.

Tapes like this are my favorites. When I travel, I always carry a few packs with me. Over the course of time, tape does become old, so having replacement tape on hand can be useful Being able to lend a hand is extremely useful.

It's the best tape I've ever used. I have been bowling for 48 years and have had other tapes peel when they get hot, but this tape is steady.
