Questions & Answers

This light consumes how many rail sections? I have a qd rail and will need 1913 rail pieces, but how many should I get?

It fits perfectly on a three-slot offset section of pic rail. That, I believe, is the bare minimum.

The strobe isn't working. Is this the first time the strobe has failed?

With the light turned off, press and release the on/off button 10 times with the tail cap. Hold down the button until the light turns off on its own on the tenth press. The strobe can now be activated with a double click. The owner's manual contains these instructions as well. I know, it's a shock.

Is there a choice between high and low power, or just high power and strobe?

There are no low-power options, only high-power and strobe. Simple to put on and take off. The strobe is activated with a double click, and I found it to be simple to use.

Is there a pressure pad included with this? Is it the one with a single or double split wire?

Selected User Reviews For Streamlight 69451 TLR RM 2 Compact Rail-Mounted Tactical Lighting System with Rail Locating Keys and Two Lithium Batteries, Black

- It's almost perfect
5/5

The light has a high-end feel to it.
- 1000LM is a very bright light source.
- The button has a good grip.
- Its angle is suitable for either the thumb or the forefinger (depending on where it is mounted).
- The remote control has a solid feel to it.
- The mounting options provided by the switch were particularly impressive: Rail clips, sticky tape, screws, and zip ties are some of the materials that can be used. I fastened the switch to my KelTec RDB with the screws, and it feels very secure.
- Short presses for on/off and long presses for momentary are simple and foolproof.
- Because the bezel is thin and smooth, tampering with the "safe off" function may be difficult. However, you should not have to manipulate this function under stress if you only twist it on/off when taking your weapon in/out of its case. br>br>My only gripe is the rubber cap that covers the hole when the remote switch is not in use. It's far too easy for the rubber cap to fall off. A small ridge in the rubber cap SHOULD fit into the rail and hold the cap in place if the light is mounted on a long rail. The cap, on the other hand, will not be held in place if the light is mounted on a short raised rail, and you will almost certainly lose it. br>br>As a result, I'm going to purchase an Inforce WML for my short-rail rifle. Aside from that, the TLR RM is fantastic.

A new Inforce is being installed to replace an older one
5/5

I wanted to replace an older model Inforce with a light that was similar in style. This is where Streamlight comes in. The TLR RM2 is a little smaller than the Inforce, but it has the same features. The body is made of metal, which I prefer. I also prefer the "positive" click/feel of the tailswitch activation over the "mushiness" I experienced with my previous Inforce. The remote pressure switch is versatile in terms of mounting options and performs admirably. All three modes (continuous, momentary, and flashing) use a lot of power. strobe) - There is no such thing as a low-cost alternative. I have to concur with other reviewers on the rubber tailcap's fit - it's a tight fit. it sucks. When I removed the light from the packaging, I immediately passed out. I strongly advise you to use this light with the pressure switch. As previously stated, I've been using this style of light for a number of years and enjoy it for its ergonomics and ease of use - After using both brands, I have no hesitation in recommending the TLR RM2 over the Inforce.

If you don't have a pressure pad, don't use it! The rubber water/dust cover on the back is completely useless and comes off far too easily
3/5

It is not recommended that you use this product without a pressure pad.

It was disappointing
4/5

I had to wait a while to get this and install it on my new purchase. The light turned on and stayed on after I opened the box, inserted the batteries, and screwed on the bezel. Turn it on. nothing. I double-checked that the bezel was completely closed and that the lock out function was not malfunctioning. It stayed on for a long time. "Oh yeah, go ahead and send that back to us," I was told after reading the manual and calling the customer service line. Really? It was still in the box when I pulled it out. Isn't there any quality assurance? So I went online and obtained a return authorization, which I am now returning to Streamlight. It cost me $13 to return it. I also don't have any light on my "tool," which I require. This makes me angry. It wasn't my fault that I didn't return it to the Amazon seller from whom I purchased it (they weren't eligible anyway); it was Streamlight's fault. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> A week later, I received the light from Stream Light, and it now functions as intended. Because it now works, I increased my star rating. It should, however, have worked right out of the box. This time, the quality assurance failed.

It's a nice light, but it wasn't brand new when it was shipped
3/5

I received this light in the mail today, and it's fantastic. It's bright and focused. I'm pleased with the product, but I deducted a star because the mounting screw was chewed up and the paint was missing when it came out of the package. So either someone had this light before me and it wasn't brand new, or someone reused an older screw. With just a dime, it appears as if someone inserted a square flat head into a round coin slot.

It's a nice upgrade
4/5

I've got four of these on various rifles now, with more on the way. The light output and spill were both excellent. The low profile looks and performs admirably in preventing snags and hangups that larger lights are prone to. The disable switch built into the light bezel is fantastic for preventing accidental light activation during storage or transport, and the remote switch kit is fantastic now that I've figured out how to use the two rubber rail switch holders properly. There are only two legitimate concerns. The rubber plug that covers the remote switch plugin, as mentioned by others, is useless because it has no retention. Because I use the remote switches, this isn't a big deal for me. Second, I'd like the cross screw that holds the light in place to have a larger head for easier assembly and disassembly.

The light is incredible! This light is a great alternative to the InForce and looks great on a battle rifle
5/5

Although a pressure pad is included, you are not required to use it. The image quality is outstanding, as is the brightness. This light can be seen for a long distance. br>br>With the thumb switch, it's very similar to an InForce rifle light, but the InForce's housing is plastic. Aluminum is used for this one. br>br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. There's a lot of bang for your buck here.

Badow! This somma itch is out of this world! Because it has a low profile, it will fit beneath your red dot
5/5

You can't see my Micro 2 because it's on a high rise mount. It's of good quality, and the strip button functions properly. The strobe function is activated by pressing a few buttons in a specific order. The instructions for how to do it are included in the instruction booklet. I preferred this to the one with the laser because you only have to press it twice fast to activate strobe. Simply take action!.
