Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
The Viper Red Dot Sight is designed to fit handguns with cut-out slides because of its low profile.
The Viper's low profile allows it to co-witness with iron sights, and the 6 MOA dot is simple to read and adjust, allowing you to get on target quickly. Power and illumination controls are also simple to access and adjust.
The ultra-clear, fully multi-coated lens provides a wide, unobstructed field of view, while Armortek coatings protect your lens from oil, dirt, and scratches.
Hard anodized finish is a matte finish that is extremely durable and low-glare. The dot is moved to your point of aim by 1 MOA windage and elevation adjustments.
Waterproof and shockproof construction ensures that your Viper Red Dot is ready for any situation; O-ring seals keep moisture, dust, and debris out for dependable performance in any setting.

Questions & Answers

Which glock mos mount should I use for the viper, or do I need a Vortex-specific mount?

My kit was a Glock MOS2 kit, and it didn't come with a single plate (plates 3,4,5 were included). 6), but after some trial and error, I discovered that the 5 plate fits the Vortex Viper, but there is a 1/8" gap between the plate and the MOS cut's forward edge. That isn't a major issue for me. If you don't have a plate, there is a low-cost option ($15). Amazon has it for 95 cents - Glock Sight Mount Plate by TuFok - Install Pistol Red Dot Sight on Glock 17 19 22 23 26 27 34 Rail - This is a Picatinny rail that is compatible with the MOS cut-out. out. You'll get everything you need to mount your Vortex Viper on a Picatinny rail when you get it.

What's the difference between viper venom and vortex venom? What is the best way to use a pistol?

I'm not a representative of Vortex, just a user, but the size of the dot appears to be the most significant difference. The Venom dot is 3moa, while the Viper dot is 6moa. Which is better will depend on what you're shooting and how far away you are. Unless you're shooting bullseye out to 50 yards or so, a 6moa dot would be preferable in my opinion. This is simply my viewpoint.

Which of the following will work together Which do you think is more terrifying: venom or the viper? Which of these will sit lowest on the slide if I have suppressor sights and a milled slide on my gun?

The viper and the co-worker With suppressor sights, witnesses are perfect, and I prefer the 6 MOA dot for pistols. The M has my mine mounted on it. The 5 plate and B screws are used in the P core.

It was broken in less than an hour
3/5

It looks good, has good packaging, and I like the adjustable brightness and low profile, so I got all excited and installed it on my 1911, slide mounted (which, by the way, shows a picture of it mounted to a SIG Sauer). W I mounted mine on the front of the box in the same way, and it only worked for a few minutes before it stopped working. It took me less than an hour to complete, and I went through about 200 rounds. I ran the dumby test with two different new batteries and multi-metered all three batteries, only to come to the conclusion that the sight is broken in some way. Very disappointed. I went from being a happy camper showing off how cool it was to now having a useless machined slide that only fits this sight and is no longer capable of normal rear sights. I'd also like to point out that it was not dropped and that there are no physical flaws on the outside.

Dot is faulty
3/5

I really wanted to like this MRDS, but I think I got a bad unit. It was simple to set up. The dot was only visible on the right half of the optic straight out of the box, which was a problem for me. When centered or to the left, even at maximum brightness, the image completely faded away. I attempted to clean the emitter area, as well as the glass and reflector, but was unsuccessful. I tried replacing the batteries, but it didn't work. br>br>Clearly not something I'd trust to carry unless I could get a replacement that worked. When I locked in the zeroing screws, I also noticed that my zero shifted slightly. Last but not least, I wish there were "clicks" when adjusting the zero on this optic. When compared to other optics that "click" when windage or elevation is adjusted, it's a little difficult to judge how far the dot has shifted when zeroing. br>br>Opic looks great; I just wish it worked the way I wanted it to. I've included a video as well as photos of it installed on my Smith and Wesson M. P M 2. 0 Compact (nine millimeters) The optic itself appears to be made of high-quality materials and is extremely attractive. It would have been nice if it had worked right away. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: Last but not least, for those new to pistol-mounted optics, choose the larger dot (6 MOA vs. 3) over the smaller dot (3 MOA). 25 etc). It'll be a lot easier to come by, and it'll suit the majority of people perfectly. Although the smaller dot is probably better for beginners or a ccw weapon, the larger dot is probably better for those who want crazy pin point accuracy. This is just my personal observation and opinion! Sage Dynamics has a great video on YouTube that explains the advantages and disadvantages of different dot sizes; I recommend that everyone watch it before switching to a red dot!.

Glock MOS is a dream come true
5/5

Excellent pistol optic, especially for the Glock MOS. MOS SCREWS: br>br>MOS SCREWS: br>br>MOS SCREWS: br>b br>The screws for the Glock MOS were included with mine. After reading other reviews advising me to call and request them, I did so, only to discover that they had already been included when I received the MOS screws. Because the MOS screws were not labeled in the original package, I included a photo to help you identify them if they are in yours (the MOS screw is the screw on the penny). MOS INSTALLATION: br>br>MOS INSTALLATION: br>br>MOS INSTALLATION: br>I read other reviews on different sites that mentioned the need for a UM Tactical shim or gasket, as well as filing down the tabs on the MOS plate number 1. Neither of these is required. They may have been necessary in the past, but they are no longer required. Simply place the MOS plate on top of it. On the MOS plate, I used Blue Loctite 242 and torqued it to 13 inch pounds. I torqued to 12 inch pounds with purple Loctite 222. These, I believe, are the specifications that should be used. There will be no issues. This optic is fantastic. br>br>OPTICbr> It sits very comfortably and low, with no distracting hood. The dot is a good size and has a lot of adjustability. br>br>I tried a milled Glock with Trijicon RMRs 17 years ago and gave up because I didn't believe the technology was ready. The first glass I used was an RMR RM05G, which had some magnification, a fishbowl effect, and a very dark magenta tint. It wasn't even close to being clear. So I sold it and went with an RMR RM06 in the hopes of a less tinted LED version. It did, but it was still magnified, fishbowled, and tinged with a deep blue hue. The RMRs are supposed to be so dependable, but my RM06 would flicker in and out (which is very common, according to what I've read). So, after trying the Trijicon sealing plate as well as a tape shim and still having problems, I gave up and sold everything. I like Trijicon and own a few of their scopes, but I believe this is a far better optic for an MRDS pistol platform. br>br>The optical quality on this unit is significantly better, with significantly less tint. It also has a less distracting shape because the RMR's hood ears aren't protruding. It also has a larger optical window for a more forgiving shot recovery and presentation. In terms of a pistol optic, I prefer the Vortex Viper. br>br>I also prefer brightness adjustments on one side to brightness adjustments on both sides. It's difficult to remember which side is up or down when you're on two sides and there's a timer or stress on you. It's much easier to tell which way is up and which way is down when you're on one side. In comparison to buttons on each side, it's also easier to manipulate without having to change my "thumbs forward" grip as much. I chose the Viper over the Venom because of its lower side position, which I believe makes it easier to use when switching from iron sights. br>br>I chose the Viper over the Venom because of its lower side position, which I believe makes it easier to use when switching from iron sights. br>br>IMPROVEMENTSbr>The only thing I think could be improved is to move the windage and elevation locks so that they can be locked and unlocked without removing the optic or rear sight. They need to be on the side or on the top.

Mounted on a G-frame, this item is of good quality and comes at a reasonable price
5/5

MOS of the 19th generation (Gen 4) Supressor height Truglo Tritium Pro MOS iron sights provide the perfect cowitness. The red dot is clear, and the lens is as well. Because it is not Vortex's fault (they did not make this red dot exclusively for the Glock MOS), I did not want to call Vortex and cry like a little girl for the correct mounting screw. I was too excited to mount it, so I did what any real man would do and used the MOS cover plate screw, and because it was too long, I mounted the red dot on the 1 MOS Plate first so I could see how much was sticking out. I dremeled the screw flush with the plate's bottom. I lock the plate to the slide and the red dot to the plate once everything is flush. It's a safe place. I'll update this review once I've fired 500 rounds.
