Questions & Answers

When using the xds 45, does the point of impact change? Is it accurate, or is it completely off the mark?

Once I switched the sights, I didn't notice any difference. The following week, I shot at a tactical course, one of which had a low-altitude component. It was also light, which aided in the target's rapid acquisition. To begin with, I wasn't thrilled with the stock sights.

Is the orange supposed to glow in the dark? Is it still in the package and exposed to bright light, but there's no orange?

The orange glows in the dark (that's what "photoluminescent paint" means), but it, like all phosphorescent materials, must be charged in direct light and discharges over time, so it's best not to rely on it. It is, however, extremely visible in direct sunlight, which is exactly what it is designed to do. The orange dot represents your vision in daylight. Tritium (a radioactive isotope of hydrogen) in small vials glows faintly green at night. They emit a tinted light that is ideal for seeing in low-light situations. situations that are light (Okay, they glow all the time, but they're not visible in daylight!) )br>At the same time as the phosphorescent orange paint glows. It doesn't shine brightly enough to be noticeable, especially in comparison to the tritium vials.

I'm not sure if this will work on the. XDM 3 40 cal. 8 barrel? This is the model with the least amount of space. Thanks. ?

I have an XDS 45 acp 3" barrel and it fits perfectly, but let me tell you that it has a significant impact on the appearance of your site. The elevation is now a long way off. To hit the target, I must raise the front site so that I am aligning the very bottom of the front site's base, rather than the site's dot - As a result, my two rear dots and single front do not line up like they do on my factory sites. So the front site is easy to acquire the target with, but I have to lift the site up a lot to shoot, or to put it another way, if the front and rear sites lined up like they should * * * I hit about 6in low @ 25 feet. The site image resembles *_ *, with the front site being too high up and the _ to hit on target at the bottom. I had no trouble switching them out, as you can see in the next answer. What tool did I use from Brownells AMC? Made for the XDS for $150 in the Washington, DC area. Simply push from left to right (looking down from the top, with the barrel pointing away from you - Oh, and you'll need to field strip and isolate the barrel in order for it to fit. I also followed the advice on the internet and put the slide in the freezer overnight. When you first start shooting, you'll almost certainly need the tool to fine-tune your windage.

Great views, which I see on the job every day
5/5

Great sights; I bought them in June 2018 and used them for some tactical shooting; they are still functional. I don't "baby" my firearms; instead, I use them as intended, and I have no complaints about these sights. In the line of duty, I rely on my firearms because they can save my life; these sights are well worth the money for low/no light situations. The problem I have is with people who leave negative reviews because they don't read the product description, such as the guy who complained and gave one star because his S was too small. When the description expressly states that it does not, W Shield is used. What's up with the note in his photo that says "Won't fit the M"? P shield. "Not in the least. " He obviously included that note in the factory package to give the impression that it was from Trijicon. REALLY? In terms of setup; br>br> Yes, they are a little** difficult to install on the XD, but that isn't the fault of the site. My gunsmith, as well as reviews and YouTube videos, all claim that the Springfield's front sight is difficult to remove. The XD-specific sight tool had to be ordered by my gunsmith. The factory sight pushed out as soon as the sight tool arrived and the sight began to move (broke loose from its original position). I'm not sure how Springfield installs them at first, but there's no way the factory sights will move on their own. br>br>In a nutshell. . . Before giving a negative review, read the description and do some research.

Edited: It does not fit the XDM slide (but the replacement does)
4/5

I'm not going to change anything about my original review, but I wanted to give you an update. My star rating has been changed to four. After a lengthy conversation with Amazon customer service, I received a replacement, which installed just like any other sight. I'm not going to 5 because these items aren't covered by Amazon's standard return policy, and to be honest, when I contacted trijicon, they were pretty accusatory. They wanted me to ship at my expense, and then they'd decide whether or not it was worth replacing. I understand that there is a high risk of user error, but I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years. Thankfully, Amazon customer service was quick to send me a replacement pair. They function flawlessly, just like the rest of my Trijicon gear. Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>O This is my third pair of Trijicon sights for various xdm pistols, and I believe I may have received the wrong part. Installing them has never been a problem. I've put sights on a lot of different pistols in the past. These were so tight that installing them with the proper sight tool actually stripped some of the metal from the sight's tracks. Both the front and rear sights were problematic for me. The back sight barely fit and had to be trimmed down, and the front slide was so tight that it began to bend. WARNING: br>br> You also don't seem to be able to return items through Amazon. I've contacted Trijicon directly and will update my review based on their response; I've spent thousands of dollars with them before, so I'm hoping they can assist me.

For my XDs 45, these are fantastic HD sights
5/5

These sights do not appear to be as depicted in the picture. The sights I received are correct for my Springfield XDs, but there are gaps between the gun and the bottom of the sights (as shown in the attached photos). br> I had these Trijicon HD sights installed by a local gun shop, and they really stand out, especially if you have the black slide. They couldn't find any information about which way the old sights pressed off or on in the literature. As a result, you can turn them on and off in any direction you want. To help start and seat the sights, the gunsmith filed down the corners a little. These are an excellent addition to my carry gun, which already includes a Crimson Trace laser.

It's possible that Springfield's owners will face difficulties
5/5

Springfield pistol sights are said to be extremely difficult to remove and replace, so expect to pay a premium to have these installed by a qualified gunsmith. Even with the additional cost of gunsmithing, they're well worth it, so don't be put off!.

This only adds to my admiration for the Arex Delta
5/5

Arex Delta has been installed. The orange dot front sight is a significant upgrade over the stock white dot sight on the Delta. The 3 dot sight works in the dark, whereas the stock Delta did not. In my opinion, the overall sight picture is much better. br>br>I bought a Sight-It Sight-It Sight-It Sight-It Sight- It Sight-I A pin punch, a tool pusher, and a laser boresight The gunsmith at my range wanted $75 to replace the sights, so I bought the necessary tools and did it myself. Despite the fact that I had planned ahead of time I used the pusher to break the front sight off, but after soaking in 3-in-1, the punch removed the remnants from the dovetail. 1 for a few more hours. br>br>Without any further adjustments, I was able to achieve excellent accuracy with the laser boresight. I pressed in the rear sight but reinstalled the new front sight with the punch. I had to use 1-inch shims to shim the underside of the sight. a ply of aluminum foil to keep it in place. The Delta group was a couple inches low at 10 yards after aligning the tops of the front and rear sight blades.

Changing your sights can help you improve your accuracy
5/5

Before I buy something, I like to do a lot of research. In addition, I'm a frugal person who wants to get the most bang for my buck. I don't give a product a rating until I've had enough time with it, and I have a Springfield XD mod 2 with stock fiber optic sights. I didn't think switching my perspective would make a significant difference, but I was completely wrong. My shooting has improved as a result of the Trijicon tritium night sights. Because the front sight was orange and the back sight was darker, it was easier for me to focus on the front sight. My shooting has improved and my groups have tightened as a result of these new sights and practice. I was so pleased with the sights that I purchased a second set for my other xd. These sights aren't cheap, but they get the job done. I use a flashlight to charge the fluorescent orange paint on the front sight for about 10 to 15 seconds, and the front sight glows incredibly brightly as a result. With both eyes open, I can focus and shoot better with the front sight shining brightly. You will not be disappointed because it is well worth the money.
