They were purchased for my nephew, who had used up all of his original ammo and was in desperate need of replacements. I noticed that Amazon recommended these paint balls, which I had never heard of before, and I decided to include a few with my order of more darts. He was so pleased with them that he called me (unprompted) to express his gratitude! They're small enough to fit in my blowgun and come out perfectly. After 25 feet, they're not as accurate, but they're still roundish low-density balls with variable aerodynamic properties. br>br>Aside from that, I'm not going to paint a house. Or am I! I was lucky enough to get the color I wanted (orange), which is a lovely orange. They won't pop if you squish them between your fingers hard enough; I couldn't even squish them a little. My sister threw one on the road by accident, and it was hit by a car, resulting in an audible pop and a small paint mark. br>I'll probably soak these in water to soften them, as another reviewer suggested, because they're quite hard. obr>br>On the plus side, I received them three days ahead of schedule, and I received the lovely orange. )br>As you can see in the picture I uploaded, the packaging was identical to the one in the picture. It was packaged nicely in a ziplock bag.
You'll be wasting hours with your friends if you shoot them straight up and try to catch them. I'm going to buy a lot more, especially at this price.
I bought these, as well as a 24" blowgun, so that we could have some fun in the office while we're in Afghanistan. These paintballs are different from regular paintballs in that they have a much tougher exterior. However, every time we used them to shoot something, they would usually break. We only didn't break them once because we shot them at something soft and the ball simply bounced off. They splatter quite a bit, probably two or three times. The paint is very colorful and measures 5 inches wide. We shot a few at the wall the first night we got it, and 2. It doesn't appear to stain anything, and it stays as a liquid for a long time. The paint remained wet to the touch five days later. This was a fantastic purchase. They're a cheap way to let off steam and have a good time. We made a game out of it by each choosing a color and shooting these things at a board outside while listening to music; we'll be buying more of these soon.
To begin with, these paintballs are good; they have an adequate amount of paint and none of them were broken when I received them. I wouldn't recommend using these with a blowgun, though. The reason for this is that breaking them from any distance requires a lot of force. If you've got a 40, you're in good shape. If you're looking for a cal paintball gun, these are the ones to go with. Otherwise, you should look for another option.
I told him about some of the things I'd read about them, like how they can be difficult to burst or how you can wet them just a little, and he said everything was fine. The blow gun darts are difficult to assemble, so this is a great alternative.
This product is fantastic; however, the gel cap is very hard and does not always explode on contact, and they are very small, making them nearly impossible to find on the ground; however, I solved this problem by soaking them in water, which makes them squishy and less hard, as well as making it easier to place them in the blowgun whole.
