Is this something that would be appropriate for an A- student?

No 98.

Is it going to fit a Tippman Sierra?

It should fit into the receiver if the threads are the same. I installed it on a Tippman Stormer Elite and was underwhelmed by the results. The accuracy was nowhere near as good as the Elite's shorter barrel, and it had a habit of spit paint balls out in pieces.

Is this compatible with a Tippmann TMC?

The TMC is in my son's possession, and it does fit. A 5-inch extension of the 16" barrel is visible. Even though it's only 6" tall, it's still intimidating. Also, he shoots perfectly straight.
