20" Tippmann 98 Custom J&J Ceramic Barrel

I had a lot of questions about this barrel, to be honest, o- I needed rings and bore sizing, so I dialed J's number. J and I dealt with them for quite a while. Their staff was extremely knowledgeable, and they were incredibly patient and understanding, unlike any other company I've ever dealt with (and I'm a big Amazon shopper!). The barrel, on the other hand, was a perfect fit for the gun. The length was excellent, but it was far too long for rushers navigating through obstacles and in and out of fort cover. For snipers and others who want to make their shots count and keep paint down the field, it's definitely long. Just make sure you get the right length for the game you're playing. J& J is a fantastic business, and I wish them nothing but success in the future. This is a barrel that I strongly urge you to purchase. You won't be dissatisfied with the results.

This was purchased as part of my Project Salvo. I had just installed the Techt Hammer for the 98 Custom at the same time as I used the barrel for the first time, and there was a significant improvement in accuracy and consistency with both of them. I was able to shoot farther and straighter than ever before. And, as one of the other reviewers stated, this barrel was spotless! I won't tell you to throw away your swab just in case, but I found myself cleaning a lot less. After using the Empire Apex 2 barrel for about a year, I can confidently say that this barrel outperforms the Apex 2. It's a lot more accurate than the previous version. This barrel appeals to me.

My range and accuracy have greatly improved since I installed it on my 98 Custom Platinum. Now that I've installed a red dot sight on the gun and calibrated it with the barrel, I'm ready to go. From a distance of 100 feet, every shit is accurate to within a few inches, and I've been able to achieve excellent accuracy from distances of up to 300 feet. Before they drop, the balls travel faster and further. br>br>The only disadvantage is that it is extremely long. If you intend to engage in close-quarters combat, a shorter barrel is preferable. But if you like to hide and snipe, this is a fantastic item to have, and I highly recommend it.

When I put this on my TMC, I got ball breaks every 20 minutes or so. 30 shots. Because the bore diameter was too small, the ball broke and spun wildly out of control. The leftover paint in the "self-cleaning barrel" would cause increasing accuracy issues, which I don't believe is a good thing. I'm bored to the size of a 684, and I've had more than one complete barrel clog in the middle of a game. After just a few uses, I'm sold on it.

I was picking people off 40 yards away in the woods while playing against stock Salvos. It made a significant difference, but it was difficult to maintain. When not in use, the barrel is almost comically long, so take care not to let it drag. It's still fantastic, and I adore it.
