Product Description

As the Viper PST Gen II brings stellar performance and rock-solid tactical features together into one device, it raises the bar even higher. With its 2-10x32 first focal plane, this riflescope is particularly versatile and good for shooting close to long distance at close range.
With its laser-etched turrets, adjustable parallax, and RZR zero stop feature, this rifle is perfect for shooters who dial their turrets for bullet drop and wind compensation. You can always keep track of the turret position with the help of a fiber optic rotation indicator.
Despite the reticle's highly functional, intuitive, and detailed hold points while remaining uncluttered for optimal viewing, it features 10 intensity levels with an off position between each setting, allowing shooters to maintain an optimal viewing angle.
A glass that has an extra-low dispersion increases color fidelity and resolution. The fully multi-coated lenses on the XR series provide greater Glass lenses are protected from scratches, oil, and dirt with Armortek coatings.
A combination O-ring seal and argon purge gives the Viper its waterproof and fogproof characteristics, while the aircraft-grade aluminum constructed body gives it a sturdy feel.

Questions & Answers

The scope of this scope fits the Desert Tech SRS A- series Are you familiar with the Lapua 338?

According to someone else, if you are spending that kind of money on a rifle, then spend a few extra bucks on your scope as well. 10 years have passed and I've improved the rifle quite a bit since then, so whether to buy this nightforce or $400 more for a Newegg is a matter of preference. This is the third in XIII. *br> It's obviously a great scope, but given what you are going to shoot you could do better given what you have

Is there a maximum height of rings I need to use here? While I am aware that the tube is 30mm, I need to know how high it is. ?

Using bell size as a guide, I always use '40mm' as my rule of thumb for integral. The low riser should be between 50mm to 70mm high A high riser *br>56mm can be fitted to all types of beds There are some mid risers that may allow a bell with a low barrel contour to fit a 50mm riser, but this is not usually the case, however, using pic rails can It would be best to double check with someone who is familiar with those mounts as I only use removable sight mounts on my smaller caliber semi-auto rifles. There are auto rifles on the market.

It's a great deal! I am likely to be finishing with this scope after this update on 11/12/2019
5/5

In the end, I had to buy another PST Gen II and play with the scopes on my rifle. I'll tell you three In my 223 I shot 15x, and I picked up a five Using the EBR, we can achieve 25x mil/mil I highly recommend you check out the film, which is absolutely fantastic. Due to my initial review, I noted that the turrets had soft clicks for the first few MOA of elevation, and then solid clicks as they ascended. I have a brand new Viper PST Gen II 5-inch display Despite what you think, this isn't the case. I would still recommend it! My 308 Winchester rifle has now been loaded with a total of 1,200 rounds of 308 Winchester after I purchased this scope in December of 2017. I have had it for about 15 months and as of yesterday, it has 1,200 rounds. My first run with this rifle was in a PRS match yesterday, and I must say I was quite pleased with its With a 15x magnification, the image is displayed on a 600x600mm plate. Firing solutions on the telephone I did not encounter any difficulties with the overs. It was icing on the cake for me to win a wild card stage where they put a balloon on a string at 600 meters and I popped A review of My initial impressions of this scope are very good. I was impressed with its features, functionality, fit/finish, and application. I will discuss the following reasons for you to purchase or not purchase this scope. As of now, I own a Vortex Razor HD Gen II scope, and I have had many other top tier models in the past. However, this particular model has made the biggest impression on me. It would have been great to have three It is 15x because you can engage close range while no doubt 15x will allow you to connect with targets well beyond 1000 yards if you do your part. The optic is mounted on an AeroPrecision M5E1, which is set up as a semi-rigid mount. Precision is automatically applied. In addition to hunting, I plan to use it for target shooting at medium to long distances. It is equipped with a 24-inch LCD Criterion Barrel, 10 inch Larue MBT Precision Pistol I also have a Toolcraft BCG and a 2S trigger. After getting on paper, I was able to zero the scope within three shots. It's just so nice to see this scope. In order to mount the camera, I am using the Seekings 30mm AR HIGH rings. There is a possibility that the standard high rings may be too low and you may catch them on Note that this also includes an allen wrench, a sunshade, and a lens cloth. This optic is a first focal plane, which means that it can range targets at any magnification level, and also allow you to use hold-overs at any magnification. Are you really in need of In my opinion, the first focal plane scope is best. I chronograph the load that shoots best in my rifle once I've found the load that does well in my rifle and get a velocity average above 10 I got shot. If you provide me with this information, I can then create a drop table using JBM Ballistics or Streylok Pro (or whatever you desire). Having created your drop card, you can then refer to it as you fire for the specified firing solution and use the reticle of your scope as a hold over. It is true that some of the stages do not have elevation dialing, so if you do not have a tactical reticle, then Hunting is another area in which I think that this is very relevant. As an example, if a deer walks out at 225 yards and you have a zero of 100 yards, you may not have time to range it and dial your elevation knob, making a quick hold all you can hope for. During the evening times of the day, the reticle illumination is essential for keeping your crosshairs on your target during the dusk hours to ensure that you take the shot at sunset. On top of that, unlike the Razor HD series, only the cross section of the reticle is illuminated, NOT the dot (which I actually prefer as I will not be holding it in the wind at night). In particular, I find the clicks on the elevation slider to be very intriguing. The Razor HD Gen II turrets are clearly not the same. What interests me about my scope, is the fact that I can click through from 1 to The MOA is 4 MOA, and it's kind of a soft target. As soon as I hit that 4 MOA mark the turret becomes very precise and sharp. At the end of the day, though, this isn't a Nightforce, Vortex Razor, or top of the line scope so you have to compromise. that for only $1,000 it is an amazing value, and it is extremely functional for a lot Although you can see the revolution indicators so you don't get lost, you will still get the same elevation. In addition to the hard zero stop, it has another great feature. The zero stop was quite easy to set up, and there is a general area where it stops at. As opposed to other optics, you don't go beyond your zero with our optics. What is the target audience for this scope? The Vortex guarantee is a no-brainer when paired with this product. Although I won't name them directly, I do find that many other top optic companies have great optics, but simply do not provide the performance that Vortex A first focal plane, clarity, parallax adjustment, tactical reticle, illumination, zero stop, and a 30mm tube with a Since market prices are under $2,000, we can honestly say you cannot get this kind of package today for under that amount. Unless you're one of those guys who zeros their rifle one inch high at 100 yards, this is not a scope I would recommend. It would be far too costly to pay for features you don't use.

However, I have not found any other manufacturer's FFP reticle at this price point that I have found comparable
3/5

The item I was looking for had been out of stock for months. The reticle was one of the reasons I purchased this scope. A 20-day embargo has been issued It has a 2B MOA reticle at a lower price of $600. The ballistic turrets for this rifle feature 25 MOA, zero-stop, and a lifetime warranty. It provides all the features I want at a price I can afford. While there are similar scopes with similar features available, I do not believe there is another manufacturer at this price that offers a FFP reticle this good. This purchase was very satisfying for me.

In the absence of any quality control, The product had to be sent back to the It would not hold zero for days when I tried to zero this scope
5/5

While shooting 200 match grade rounds, I was convinced I must be going crazy or my rifle was defective. Finally, I sent the scope to Vortex for analysis, and here's what I received back from their The amount I spent buying quality ammo to zero it is what I'd spend for a new scope. No questions, they have the best customer support and lifetime warranty, but I'd prefer to get a working scope from the box and not be hassled with their customer service. If I need a scope in the future, it won't be like that.

I had to purchase three of them, which unfortunately caused a financial burden on me
5/5

I thought the knobs on the Leopold Mark 5 and the Night Force were better, but they weren't better than the Leopold Mark 5. Better, but not a thousand dollars better. Currently, I'm using a RPR for the Vortex In 5 a RPR is decided, and in 6 a RPR is decided. I have a 3rd on a CMMG DTR2 in 6 as well. I would have preferred a better scope that I thought would have been worth it but I couldn't Almost all of mine behave exactly as I expect them to and just as they are supposed to. Get yourself some good mounts and some Vortex flip-up They loved their Grandma so much Don't hesitate to give it a go.

Until the turret can be elevated one more time, 1 click remains. The click took 1 second. A 20" 308 rifle can be fired with more than enough ammunition. have ordered Vortex caps that work well, as well as a Vortex switcher zoom lever (haven't received them In addition to the battery and hex wrench, the only included accessories are the sun shade and the 2mm hex wrench. This note applies The torque screwdriver I bought on Amazon (with a 2mm hex bit, or your screws will break) was used to turn the turrets screws and I set it to 8 inch pounds and there were no problems with it.

Optics from Vortex are excellent
5/5

I love the scope of this project. I found this glass to be very clear, especially for the price. Since stock of this scope has been low, and some people have been asking for full MSRP, I noticed that it is becoming harder to find. The Gen II-5 can be found in the Gen II-S range I recommend you wait until you can afford one for $1099 before you purchase one. The price I paid for mine on Amazon from Kenzie's Optics was $21. 99. I was even offered this at $1199 by my LGS. It will be worth it for both the money you will save and the scope you will receive. I had a Vortex Defender Flip Cap 50 (55-mm), but I didn't have a Vortex Defender Flip Cap 46 Compared to other warranties, Vortex is the best. The Vortex manufacturer of my rifles has been providing great customer service and quality build for me for a number of years.
