Product Description

A Viper HS 2 can be bought here. In the Viper HS (Hunting & Shooting) line, there are numerous configurations that compare to the 5-10x44. The Dead-Hold BDC reticle is suitable for shooting at different ranges where holding over would be a challenge.
The XD glass technology produces an image that is clear, sharp, and seamless from edge to edge in the advanced optical system. From dawn to dusk, XR multi-coated lenses allow you to take advantage of as much light as possible. You will be able to get closer to your target with 4x zoom.
The capped quick-reset turrets will allow you to easily reindex your zero after sighting in after sighting As they consist of a 30mm main tube, they increase the amount of travel in both elevation and windage
Lenses on the scope are protected with Armortek coatings that are extremely hard and scratch-resistant. Fogproof and waterproof properties are provided by argon purging. Besides being incredibly durable, this hard anodized matte black finish looks incredible as well.
A workhorse optic designed to handle the demands of hunting whitetail or elk in the Rockies, the Viper HS allows you to excel in all hunting situations.

Questions & Answers

Can the Sun Shade be added to this?

There is a shade included with the unit, yes

Hey guys. I see that this part is designed to be mounted to Picatinny rails only. Would you agree? What would be the best method of mounting a rail on my Ruger. How many rounds of 300 win mags does this take?

Using this scope, I mounted a Ruger M77 MKII on my rifle. This gun is loaded with a 300 Win Mag cartridge. To use 30MM tube, you will have to get High Ruger Mounts. In spite of the high mounts, the spacing between the front scope bell and barrel is close to 1/8 inch depending on where you set it for eye relief. Also, there is not a lot of space between the front and rear scopes. Moreover, the mounts are too expensive. I had to purchase them after the fact from a local gun store. You would be able to get better deals on the Internet.

This looks to be the HS LR 6 24x50, correct? In the event you do not carry it, do you plan to? Is that okay?

The version with the exposed elevation turret on this model is not the Long Range model. An elevation and windage turret are capped on this model, and the reticle is Duplex.

What happens if I install this on a Tikka T3 Hunter with the stock Tikka rings? There seems to be some overlap between an A44 and a 40 as it appears to barely clear an A40. ?

With this scope, you need 30 mm rings, which come with the Tikka but not with the scope itself. There are 1 inch rings attached to them

The optics are great for the price and the footprint is small
5/5

I think this is an excellent opportunity for a variety of A first note of praise goes to the optics. Compared to the whole family of Zeiss scopes (Terra, Conquest DL and Victory HT), I'd place them just above the Conquest, but slightly ahead of the HT. I consider that to be a compliment because the DL surprisingly cost $1,300 in the past. Resolution, brightness and edge detail are good without any blue or yellow chromatic As far as color rendering is concerned, it is very good, passing a broad spectrum that doesn't seem especially cool or warm (like some scopes). This image doesn't have quite the impact of a three-dimensional image Vortex may not have the dimensional quality of Zeiss scopes at the top end, but I would not hold that against them at all. This is a fairly affordable My big selling point when it comes to this scope is the form factor, along with the great glass. It measures about 12" long and weighs (I believe) about 16 oz. This is quite the compact package for a two-piece A 10x44 matrix. It does have a relatively tight eye box at 10x, at least given the size of the 44mm objective lens. And since it is only a four-element lens, you expect quite a small eye box at 4x. The exit pupil should be 4(ish). Eye relief is fully restored when you go down to 8x or 9x, so it is no big deal, and I live in the 4-range dial This range runs from 8 to 12. It is also very nice to see the reticle. I do not approve of complicated tactical reticles that seem to be getting harder and harder to avoid, but this one is both unobtrusive and uncluttered at the same time. Although there are dots in the center of cross hairs, the crosshairs are very thin and I appreciate how light they are. German 4A is my favorite reticle, but I quite like this one as well. - A nice open space is found in the middle only to be broken up by the lines in the twilight. A lifetime warranty, 30mm tube, and tough coating make this an attractive package. Turrets click very easily, and the tube is 30mm long. There's really not much you can do wrong with this scope for the price. I consider it a standout under the Vortex line, since here are a lot of cheap models below, and a lot of expensive, heavy models above.

This is an amazing optical effect
5/5

This item was purchased for the Tikka CTR T3x. This means that the optic is just a little bit farther from the optimum eye relief, but not due to the scope, but to the rings I mounted it on. In any case, I can move my eye a bit closer and everything will be fine. A great deal of clarity is evident at all distances with this scope. My first scope that I am able to see at 100 yards my target clearly and shows where I am hitting at every range. When I first spotted this, I was 50 yards away. As soon as the bolt was out, I inspected the barrel and verified the sight was centered on the barrel. I shot six shots too close to the target, so we'll just say sighting in went really smoothly. I was just getting used to the trigger of the gun, in addition to learning the trigger at 100. With an unknown gun and 308 mph winds, I was able to shoot 6 times within 3 inches, which was a perfect result for me. The two I got were 2 and 3. When deer hunting in Wisconsin, I use a 10x as I usually have to sight in quickly as I travel through the woods. However, on the few occasions that I travel, sit in a stand, or head to the range, I want clarity out to 200 yards and beyond. As soon as I adjust the trigger, I'll be able to shoot 200-plus rounds There are 300 yards in this distance. According to what I've read, this would be capable of shooting 500 rounds with my rifle, bullets and ability. The cap maintains its shape. It has been exposed to over 100 rounds with Even the rings I got at a lower price are tough enough to withstand the rigors of the state forest. One of the things I might spend a little bit more on is this. Furthermore, it comes with an optical shade that extends 4" beyond the original. As a result of its use, you need to get closer to the optic if you want to see as much as possible, since less light is allowed. Vortex wins most of the time from a price point of view. Bushnell and Burris are also somewhat affordable brands, and VIper is right in the middle of the Vortex line. The clarity, the zoom, and the warranty make it quite hard to beat at this price point.

Vortex makes a great scope! The scope of this project is wonderful! You have impressed me
5/5

The Browning BAR semi-automatic rifle I have fitted it with is this one It's an automatic 30-speed There is no better barrel to fit that gun than the 06, though. I like the clarity and sharpness of this image My other scopes (Nikon, Burris, Tasco, Kahles) are just as good, if not better. The Vortex Viper line is my favorite line of scopes. I just purchased three more The Vortex software is really impressive. When I was in Sportsman's Warehouse a few weeks ago, I looked at the low-priced items The Vortex at the end along with the low-pressure The end of Nikon and others -- As compared to the other storms, the Vortex appeared sharper and brighter. There you have it - the low-hanging fruit I'm getting to the end now. There is something I like about my higher education Also, I have high-end Nikon and Kahles scopes, but whenever I buy a new scope I go with Vortex because they seem to be the best value for the money, and in case anything goes wrong, I know they will stand behind its quality.

This is Vortex's second appearance in the spotlight

- to be used in a 50-gallon drum One hundred meters are the target. 10/22 I'm working on a receiver for this application. My goal was to spend less than $500 on a magnifier with fairly high magnification. I found the Viper to be the perfect choice. The pros are The reticule is nice and fine Putting the side focus on This tube measures 30 mm in diameter. The cons are It is a heavy field stalker, not a lightweight This was a large snake with a length of over a foot. Over a berm, this device works best for dispatching prairie dogs. If you jumped up a grade, what would you get? I loved the clarity and chromatic aberration reduction. I also liked the contrast improvement. It proved to be an excellent purchase for my static, fixed paper target application. The other Vortex I own is a Spitfire prism 3x, which is also very reasonably priced.

I am very happy with my purchase
5/5

The price of this scope makes it a great value. Even when the power is higher, the scope's optical clarity is excellent and it can be compared to scopes that cost As the turrets of this scope are visible and finger adjustable, it is best used for aiming at targets. It would be ok to shoot varmints in an open field at a distance with the reticle, even if the lines on the crosshairs were too fine for brush or hunting work. The two models I own have never let me down. With its fine crosshairs, this scope works well for load development target work as well. On one's way, one encounters a. There are two different 243 custom rifles, one on a 6 and one on a 243 style. It's easy to shoot 1/2 MOA with a 5 Creedmoor AR.

This is a very clear and precise description
3/5

I have two of them. This microscope is crisp and precise. I have two of them. The one thing I don't like is the magnifying glass that adjusts. In spite of having been sent back for repair, turning it is still a challenge. It will take you a little bit longer to switch from low to high or high to low if you need the adjustment to happen quickly Squeeze to tighten It is both crank and cranked. Two times when I needed to adjust the magnifying glass quickly in a deer wood, it bit me in the rear. Though it appears to be durable, the problem still persists.
