might be able to stretch it to 500 words. Despite being 400 yards away, I was able to take the hog easily.
Rather than having a Mil-spec reticle, it has a tactical Mil-spec In the form of a dot reticle.
In my personal experience as well as knowing that a friend of mine has five other Vortex scopes, there are several other brands out there that offer better visibility in low light, but you will pay about three times more than you will for the same magnification for the Vortex scope. As far as I am concerned, I haven't found another brand that offers the same sharp clarity or brightness in low light conditions as Vortex at that price.
Selected User Reviews For Vortex Optics Diamondback Tactical Second Focal Plane Riflescopes
This product is an excellent value for the price and features it offers. A Ruger American 6 should be mounted with the scope. The 5 predator was able to get its scope dialed in in a short period of time and hit a metal gong at only 500 yards. You will also notice that the turrents stay tight and do not move.
I like the scope of this project. The scope holds zero and I ran it through clicks at 100 yards and the change in point of impact was perfect. Furthermore, I ran through the full adjustment range and the scope had a few extra MOA on both windage and drop. After 8 magnification, clarity is satisfactory, but I wouldn't call it perfect, especially once dusk approaches. As far as build strength is concerned, it really is excellent. The scope came out better than new even when other users had their scopes break and several of us had our scopes scratched during a 5 day advanced marksmanship course. I sometimes abuse my equipment especially when it comes with a warranty like vortex's. There was one thing that really bothered me about this scope for me, and that was the fact that the hashmarks on both turrets did not line up perfectly. Also, rings that have a slim profile would be best otherwise, you won't be able to see how your turret has been set. In addition, I returned the scope due to the fact the vertical hashmarks did not line up consistently on the turret. The solution is to try and fix the problem in the videos I saw online, but I'm not going to try to fix a product that shouldn't have arrived with At longer distances, 600+ yards, being unable to have a consistent measurement for vertical adjustment became an even bigger problem. As a final note, I would like to note that while the glass itself was great, the eye relief, "eye box" and light gathering at dawn/dusk were not what I was looking for. The scope failed to meet the needs of the profession, where you must be able to engage the target and hold each sub MOA regardless of conditions. I found that it was far superior to my expectations in terms of its training and daily use capabilities. In the end, it did not meet the needs of more extreme situations. If you compare the price with what it is worth, it is hard to beat. There is a risk, however, if you expect this scope to be reliable enough for you to stake your life on it.
You get a lot of scope for the money here. Despite the clear optics, there is still some haze in the atmosphere. It took three shots to sight it in. The adjustments are precise.
I purchased this scope for my Ruger Precision Rimfire. I was on the fence between this 4-power scope and this 3-power scope. This new 12x40 model or the Diamondback Tactical are first focal plane models. The reviewer of the FFP scopes noted that they were made in China in a video. The Vortex Viper is manufactured in the Philippines at the same factory which manufactures all other Vortex Viper models. Definitely a downfall is that there is no parallax adjustment however, I have used it at 25, 50, 100, and 300mm Despite the telescopic range of 200 yards, there is no need for a second scope. Making adjustments with the turrets is a smooth process that presents a strong click upon adjustment.
Originally, I purchased a crossfire II to go with my Remington 700 Special. When I returned the crossfire to the store, I spent an extra $100 on this because the SPS deserves a better glass than what you get with a crossfire. It takes Crossfire to make the fire, and Diamondback to make the diamond back. didn't observe a difference between the two in terms of quality. These two items are both well-made. Although the Diamondback had an audible click, it was finer and more precise. We had a bit of a mushy crossfire. SniperCentral did a review of this glass and had nothing but good things to say about it. They seem to be a bit better quality than the Crossfire.
It is equally clear even with a zoom of 12 times. Turrets have a good click in them and are nicely made. There are no zero stops but the index can be reset to zero and revolution marks are provided. The 400 yard range for this scope seems a bit out of reach. Though I haven't used it beyond 200 yet, I'm expecting it to be around 400 at best. It's okay for now, maybe when I feel confident enough to upgrade to an even better rifle, I'll buy However, it is hard to beat for 300 bucks. The warranty is lifetime, that's all there is to it.
A perfect item deserves a perfect feedback, and I'm really sorry to leave negative feedback. The Vortex Optics Sure Fit Waterproof Neoprene Rifle Case is made of Neoprene. The 14-year-old Five inches) ", but there was no cover For this reason, I have rated this product with 3 stars on the value for money, 3 stars on the accuracy of the description, and 4 stars on overall evaluation. In terms of durability, however, I give Vortex 5 stars since they make great products, and this scope looks great on the Ruger Precision 22LR. If they send me the Vortex Scope Cover, as stated in the description, I will update later.
Vortex Products are excellent, and this scope is no exception. The optics are great, especially given how cheap it is. You can adjust its windage and elevation by hand in order to make sure it will look right when you are Despite the clear lens and the overall optics, I would think that the scope can compete with any scope that I own.
