Perfect fit for the front mount
3/5

It was easy to install the front mount. It was way too small in the rear. The screw hole in the rear was almost a quarter inch away from the hole on Upon contacting Luepold, they said that the receiver would need to be drilled once again to fit their rear mounts. My explanation was that the rifle is very expensive and I didn't want the receiver to be shaped like Swiss cheese since it wouldn't fit their mount. A representative of the company told me that they do not make custom mounts. They said there was nothing they could do when asked if there was anything they could do. My request for a return and refund was not even considered. This was very disappointing since I have owned and used their products for more than 30 As far as I am concerned, this company has always provided me with excellent services. To have a custom mount made, I will visit one of their competitors.

It is a design with a long history
5/5

It should be turned around at the rear of the picture. You can mount it in that way, however There is no way to open the bolt. In addition to replacing a one-piece base on a Remington 700 in , I bought this item as well. The 30th - As a result of those mounts, the rear ring of the bike is further forward, and I bought an extended ring on A longer action seems to push the scope ahead too far, according to me. I have a scope that has an objective end with an outside diameter of 115/16 inches. Buying High Rings was a good decision for me. When observing through the scope, the bottom of the scope in the front clears the rear of the rear ramp sight enough to prevent the ramp from showing up as a blur. In my experience, it is best to apply gun oil to the front mount and then loosen up the ring at the base using a wrench with an open end. It takes only a few turns back and forth to make a significant You can align the scope to the barrel according to your needs with this design. Those Dual Dovetail Bases were installed on a Winchester Model 70 rifle that I own. Despite my best efforts, the windage in the scope wasn't aligned properly. With a Bore Sighter, I was able to get the most accurate shot. Someone at the factory made a mistake.

Having a good foundation is essential
5/5

You can put these #51701 bases on a Weatherby Vanguard S2 and they will work well. To bore sight my scope at 40 yards without touching the adjustment turrets on the scope, it was optically centered using the mirror method, after which windage was adjusted with the rear base. I haven't shot it yet, but I think it will only require a minor adjustment to zero it. There is no moa at all with these. A dead zero was also positioned vertically. I like how clean, uncluttered it looks.

Mounts solidly and comes with loctite on screws for free! The Leupold/Redfield mounts allow solid ring mounting without much fuss
5/5

The front mechanical dovetail is also Take a dowel or piece of 1-inch wood and stick it into the hole The pipe is not more than inch in diameter). These screws currently have some blue loctite already applied to the threads, and they're high quality Torx screws This is a really nice touch, and it also makes things very convenient for me. There is a modest amount of windage built into the ring mounting screws on the rear mount. Having just purchased a new Browning X-47, I thought it would be a good time to get a set Almost all holes in the Leupold set were perfectly sized and the brackets were mounted without any issues. In addition, the fact that Leupold includes the correct Torx wrench means that you don't have to search for your toolbox or Allen key set because the Torx wrench is included in the package. Despite my own endorsement of the Leupold/Redfield Austen, I have never encountered any problems with accuracy or shifting zero with a rifle I own. The Leupold system, even though I am not a Leupold scope snob, is by far my favorite, though I have other bases such as Weaver, Millett, Remington, and Tikka as well.

I was expecting Five Star Quality, but it did not fit properly on my Savage 110 rnd RCR with 'Accutrigger'
3/5

This is a good quality mounting base, thanks to the reverse reversed rear PC however the base windage screws hung over the receiver opening nearly 1/2". Would have been nice if the description had mentioned this as it does not look like it was intended for my specific rifle. It may have been made for older 110 rifles without an Accutrigger or for older 110 rifles before. I will look at Leupold's 1/pc model and see if it may be a better match for my rifle.

I couldn't quite get it to There is a very high quality to the product
3/5

This is a crucial part, and in my opinion the mounting height and screw spacing are correct. Unfortunately, I had to put a significant amount of effort into filing, polishing, and blueing one corner, since the bolt wouldn't clear. I believe this should fit a very early Weatherby Mark V, made with an action based on a Mauser 98. I could not fix what I could not fix, but what I am able to do works fine.

The mount is still good, but it isn't as well made as more recent models
4/5

A damaged receiver of an older Model 70 caused a number of holes on the mount to become misaligned, so I purchased windage adjustable bases to correct the issue. So I was able to use the inserts instead of messing about lapping rings, I paired the bases with Burris Signature It worked great for me to adjust windage by 24" and zero my rifle with just a few clicks of the clicker. In any case, I have at least a dozen more documents, which are probably about The mounts on some of those rifles have clearly been made better by Leupold than those used for other rifles 25 years ago. There is a noticeable difference in the roughness of the finish and the sharpness of the edges of the newer models. -I do not believe that the new ones will not hold up in the long run Once again, another shortcut has been taken to save a little bit of money.

It was of good quality from Leupold, but the fit was not great
3/5

As part of installing my new Winchester Model 70 6, I installed the following power supply. The Creedmoor 5 is a north-south road. There is a dove tail on the front base which overhangs the barrel and is out of alignment with the mounting screws. It may be possible to mount a scope in this way, but it looks funny and leaves no space for getting the right eye relief position. When I tried reversing, the receiver was blocked by the overhang. We are going to buy a dual-core processor This set of bases have a dovetail in the middle to allow the scope ring to sit on top of the base instead of being on top of the base. It is a good Leupold quality product, but please be aware if you are purchasing for a short action Winchester rifle.
