I don't own an XD 40, but I do own an XD-100. I'm 45 and it fits, so as long as there's a rail, I'd say yes.

It is stated on the package that it will fit XD and XDM). They're installed on my XD Mod 2.
I'm sure they make some for the sig, but these were only for Springfield Xd and Xdm models.

During the day, the sites look fantastic. If you decide to install these yourself, be aware that the factory XD sights are extremely tight. A vise, a steel punch that I flattened on a bench grinder, and a two-pound hammer were required. It took less Force to set up the new sites. If you're not comfortable swinging a two-pound Hammer at your slide, you should definitely take it to a gunsmith, because a cheap sight-pushing tool will most likely break before the factory sights budge.
White dot is a tad better. These were high on my list of expectations. I knew they'd be useless in low-light situations. That's fine, to be honest. I didn't think night sights were necessary because if I couldn't see my target, I shouldn't be shooting at it. I wanted something that looked like a glow and allowed me to concentrate better at the range on the sights. When using a direct overhead light, these are effective. However, that is the only time they are available to work. They will not be able to detect any ambient light. The majority of my shooting takes place in an indoor range (95%) of my shooting takes place in an indoor range of my shoo While the light is dim, it isn't so dim that I didn't think these would pick up the light from my surroundings. The majority of the time, these sights are dimly lit. Only if I turn on the range light and stand directly beneath it will they work. And by directly beneath it, I don't mean on top of it. To do so, I'll need to take a good 1-shot at my range. I imagine these sights would be fantastic in an outdoor setting if you took two steps back from the line. They might not do what you want them to do if you keep them indoors. They didn't in my case.
Finally, I made the decision to give my subcontractor a raise. a compact improvement It's well worth the money. I was sick of staring at the three white dots, so I looked into Truglo for high-quality fiber. I went with the Truglo fiber-optic sights because they were reasonably priced. I didn't want to pay extra for tritium because I don't shoot at night, and I wanted a different color front. With both eyes open, use the back sights to help you aim. I did have these installed by a gunsmith. When I dry fire, it has significantly improved my eye focus, and I am looking forward to trying it out at the range soon. So far, there haven't been any disappointments.
Except for total darkness, I can see well in all types of light. This is something that I would strongly recommend to anyone!.
Very important: Make sure you hire a QUALIFIED GUNSMITH to install these sights. From the right-hand side of the slide, old sights are pushed off the slide. New sights are pushed on from the left-hand side. right. During a competition shoot, the first set of sights didn't fit properly, and the FSP moved out of position by about 3/32". TruGlo quickly replaced the FSP (at my expense) and the new FSP appears to be a perfect fit. br>br>The lighting is adequate, but it could be better. The fiber rods' front ends have been sealed. When you're ready, return to the sights. The dots are quite dull when lit (or if there is very little ambient light). To improve the brightness, some reflective material should at the very least be placed behind the rods / inside the closed sights. The red front sight picks up instantly in daylight. br>br> The green is more vibrant indoors, while the red is more subdued. The views are downright dark in twilight or dim indoor conditions. These are perfect for outdoor / target / competition guns, but buyers of defensive carry guns / nightstand guns should think about secondary lighting options (e. g. , a flashlight). , TFO's).
These fiber optics are outstanding. This brand is far superior to Wilson, which I also own. br>TruGlo makes use of larger, brighter fibers. br>Overall, a five. However, this was for my XD, and anyone who owns an XD knows how frustrating it is to change the sights. br>Apart from that, they're fantastic!.
According to what I've read, people have frozen the slide and then beaten the sight off with a chisel and hammer. That is something I would not attempt. Invest in a sight pusher and you'll be fine. The views themselves are of good quality and are easily visible during the day. When I sighted in the gun and went to the range, I didn't have to make any adjustments. The purchase has made me very happy.
First and foremost, do not attempt to install sights if you do not have a sight pusher/install/removal tool. Your firearm WILL be scratched. These sights, on the other hand, fit in niiiiice and snug. A set screw on the back sight must be tightened after installation. On both the front and rear sights, I continued to use red lock tight. For the sake of completeness, After 300 rounds at the range, there was still no movement. They are my favorite. In any case, I'm a big fan of fiber optic sights.
