Questions & Answers

Is this website accessible in all lighting conditions?

It performs admirably in all lighting conditions. My Glock 27 is equipped with mine. It's 40 calories and I really like it. I carry it in a galco matrix holster, which I had to rework because the front sight is larger and sharper on the back edge corners, so instead of reworking the sight, I worked on the inside of the holster to ensure the front sight did not catch when drawing the gun. I also carry a Galco Miami vice holster and have had no problems with it.

Is there a way to get these sights on a map? 45? I have a Glock 21 gen4 and was wondering if they'd fit. ?

The original / first response is incorrect; these are the low-set TFX's for the 9mm, not the high-set TFX's. 40 and . 45 GAP. In the case of the G21 ( You'll need the TFX High set if you're using 45ACP.

Is there a set screw included for the rear sight on this sight? I paid 99 dollars for one at Walmart, but it was not available. ?

My Sig rear sight wrench, which is a 1/16" Allen key, did not come with it.

Iron sights to a tee
5/5

I wanted to replace the crappy plastic sights that came with my Walther PDP (I had assumed that only Glock used cheap plastic crappy sights). ), and was relieved to discover that any sights designed for the Glock 19 would also work on the PDP. I have TruGlo sights on all of my pistols, so I knew what I was getting, but these were the first Tritium AND fiber-optic sights I'd ever seen. all-around optics I'm even more impressed than I expected to be after seeing just one sight! br>br>The Tritium is perfectly bright at night, and the fiber optics pick up light and make the sights glow nich and bright during the day or indoors in the light, making them great for low light/no light as well as bright light! In fact, they're so bright in the sun that the sight picture isn't even a problem to see! I'm not a fan of 'optics' (red dots), and I'm not a believer in all that nonsense for a self-defense weapon. I maintain my proficiency without relying on toys mounted to my pistol by training and becoming accustomed to standard, or 'iron' sights. br>br>Like I said, I got this model for my Walther PDP because it fits the Glock 19, so if you use THIS set, you'll need the Glock front sight tool (which you can get here on Amazon) and a rear-sight tool (which you can get here on Amazon). Both of these items are available on Amazon for the same price as having a gunsmith do it for you. With the tools I mentioned earlier, it takes about ten minutes from start to finish. Please note that when installing the screw on the front sight, do not use the red Loctite; instead, use the BLUE Loctite, and USE THE SMALLER SCREW that comes with the package for these sights if installing on a Glock AND for installing on the PDP if that's what you're doing. The front sight was loose because the PDP screw was too long, so I used the original screw that came with my PDP. br>br>I've fired about 400 rounds through the PDP so far, and the sights are still tight and functioning properly. TruGlo is a product that I wholeheartedly recommend. They're just as good as the big names, but they're less expensive.

For a shooter, it's a good sight, but for professionals, it's a bad sight
3/5

They're good sights, but I replaced them with steel night sights from a Glock. Because these sights hung up in my holster, and drawing your weapon from the holster is a smooth action rather than fumbling with it and jerking it out, it can pose a significant risk to yourself. My duty weapon, a Glock 22, was carried in a safariland molded holster. It's a great sight if you're just a hobby shooter, but if you're carrying a duty weapon, don't risk having your weapon hang up in the holster. Note to company: the front sight on your previous version was beveled and did not cause a hang up; this one is cut straight up and down and snags on the holster, posing a risk to the user when defensive measures are required right away!.

These aren't particularly good, but they're adequate
4/5

This is the second set of TRUGLO sights I've purchased. The tritium component of these sights is one of my favorites. In low- It's very simple to pick up my sights in low-light situations. br>br>I just wish there was a "window" for the fiber-optic cable. These sights' optics could have been a little bigger or more exposed. The fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) is visible in direct sunlight. However, in low-light situations, optic sights glow beautifully. They just don't pull in a lot of light in these situations. So, when I'm in the mood for some fiber, I'll go to this website. They lack any kind of brightness in order to work best in low light. br>br>I understand. The fiber-based The optical piece is well-made. Although the optics are protected within these sights (I've broken some in sights with less of a shroud), there must still be a way for light to reach the optic or it will not function. These views are stunning in the sun or in the dark, but not so much at dusk and dawn. So, they cover 80% of the day, which is better than standard Glock sights. I'm going to give them a score of 4 out of 5 stars. I wish them luck in the future and hope they come up with a better solution. The price is fair for what you get; however, you should be aware that this style has limitations.

These sights have made me very happy! I bought these sights to replace the factory sights on my Glock 23
5/5

I'm very happy with the result, which improves the acquisition of a sight picture in all lighting conditions. br>br>Using a sight pusher and front sight tool, and after watching a youtube video of the process before starting, the installation was simple enough. br>br>I deducted one star for brightness because the fiber optics only have a small window through which ambient light can be picked up. However, this isn't a major issue, and I wouldn't want a fully exposed fiber in my EDC anyway. I prefer this for EDC because it is more protected and still picks up enough ambient light in its housing to be useful.

For Glock, the TruGlow TFX TFO sights are a WINNER
5/5

On my Glock, I absolutely adore the new TFX sealed TFO sights. A white insert in the front TFO helps you focus your attention on the front sight. The fiber optic appears to be lit in daylight. They're a lot brighter in the dark than my regular TruGlo sights. Some people have complained that the rears aren't as easy to spot as the fronts because the fronts have a white insert and the rears don't. That is, in fact, PERFECT, in my opinion. When the backs are outlined, it can be more difficult to maintain proper front sight focus. This set-up actually helps your mind and eye stay focused on the front of the screen. I have a strong suspicion that they were created in this manner. I have no trouble picking up the rear sights in low light, and thanks to that white ring, I have rock solid front sight focus. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy these sights? The ONLY disadvantage I can think of is that, because of the fiber optic, the front sight is longer than a non TFO front, reducing the sight radius.

The upgrade from TFO to TFX isn't really worth it
5/5

I've been using TFOs for about a year now with no problems. I purchased a new Glock and decided to relocate my TFOs to it while keeping my TFXs on my carry gun. I don't have anything negative to say about either of them, but I don't think they're worth the extra money over TFOs. On the TFXs, I prefer the front sight, while on the TFOs, I prefer the rear sight. Aside from that, I believe the upgrade is minor. br>br>In every picture, the TFXs are on the right, and the TFOs are on the right.

The product is of high quality
5/5

If you want a simple installation, invest in a sight pusher and a front site tool. You'll be glad you did it. These were relatively simple to install, but I encountered a minor issue with my early Gen 3 Glock 23 front sight. It was necessary to tap it firmly into the seat with a nylon mallet, but this was not a major issue. Later gen 3s and newer generations, on the other hand, should be fine. The colors are vibrant but not overwhelming. So far, I've been satisfied with my purchase. If anything changes, I'll update the review.
