I bought a pair of sunglasses for myself and my S&S The revolver I have is the 686+ 7shot model, so I can load it. There are 38 special items included in one book Besides the 357 magnum, there is another 357 magnum. Using the HKS587A Speedloader is no problem for either. By flipping open the cylinder, you simply twist left to lock the cartridges and left to release them to drop them into An ingenious way to save time. As a 69-year-old 'Pistol Packing Grandma,' I have a good deal of experience shooting. My first gun was a pump action shotgun. My goal is to reach all the people who can help me.
Itested it on my 686+, and it worked perfectly ** * * Update I noticed that the inside walls seem to crack after using it for a few range trips and carrying it in my pocket. Upon being a 7 shot, there is a paper thin layer of plastic that fills the space between the bullets. The plastic is easily broken due to being so close together. However, the bullets of the HKS no longer fall freely into the loading chamber, they bind inside the speed loader where cracks have appeared. 5 Star aluminum speed loaders are on my list of things to try.
This lock does not work with most. The 38 spl ammo brands are grouped into a SpeedBeez block. As of 6/26/2019, there have been no further updates. In order to diagnose the malfunction, I took one speedloader apart. My issue was that the loader had a problem picking up 7 shots. The 38 Special load from the SpeedBees is presented below. The defect can be attributed to both the HKS and SpeedBeez blocks, according to my test results. There is a speed loader that For most of 357, but not for the majority. In 38 brands, the shaft hits the block before it can lock in the cartridges because of the bottom of the shaft having a hard time reaching the spoke wheel. One of the reasons for the problem can be attributed to SpeedBeez's The issue of picking up could be resolved by drilling a hole in the center of each group. As well, a 1/8" cut into the shaft of aluminum is necessary. It would be sufficient to use 3/16". It is not clear if either vendor/maker is interested in fixing the issue. As a result, I purchased Maxfire speedloader 2 for $14. There is no selection available as a Prime item on Amazon, so you're better off purchasing at Midway.
This magazine is designed to fit the new Ruger GP100 7 shot 357 magnum. I had just acquired the Ruger GP100 revolver and was searching for a speed loader, but did not find one specific to that firearm. Since I have had good luck with HKS in the past, I tried the one that fits the S&S With the GP100, it is compatible with both W and Taurus. My double pouch is almost full, and I've just ordered a second one.
I initially wasn't happy about the direction you had to turn the release knob (to the right to release) since this concept seemed counterintuitive. Usually left is for loosening and right is for tightening, but these speedloaders work the opposite way. As I practiced a little more, however, I began to feel more natural about the release to the right because I am now turning the gun INTO the cylinder /frame, rather than away from it. Do not point a gun at anyone. Having this in my mind now feels more natural than before. It will take time to see if the clips will hold up to the daily wear and tear of my daily training and practices.
2) I was able to buy 7 clips for the price. As soon as I got my first clip and swapped my real AMMO for my dummy/snap caps, and then again when I went to the range, I only had two clips. That was a little difficult (what a hassle) and I also wanted to keep my REAL ammunition separate from my dummy/ snap cap ammunition. one more safety precaution-- The real and dummy ammo have to be kept Here are the 7 clips that we have so far Three are in my range bags
Three are for my daily speedloader training drills. Two are my real ammunition stored in my gun safe
Two are dummy rounds (21 snap clips) for my daily speedloader.
I have bought 5 more of these items in the last month because I have used them from other sources for years. Beginning with the first one, right up to the most recent, they all had the same little glitch. You are instructed to load all 7 rounds and then twist the trigger to lock it. On the wheel there is a - A device that holds the cartridge in place over the rim of at least one chamber of all those I have bought there is at least one that has hitch while loading. This means I load one round out of seven to determine which one is the culprit. Put a lock on A chamber must be unlocked before another can be loaded. If it doesn't fit, then it's too small. If that one doesn't lock, you can apply a little more pressure until it does, and then keep doing so until they all do. If you rush the process and apply too much torque, something could There was a pin that broke on one of my latest purchases. I had three Chambers that had a rough spot, and the very last one had a pin that split. In addition to the new loader, it had a tight locking chamber. You should not be intimidated, just be aware of potential tight fits the first time around. Following that, a works great, and I have no hesitation about purchasing They would not work well for fast paced competition shooting, but they offer great value for money.
This speed loader works very well with the Ruger GP100 7 shot, as others have noted. Machined aluminum is used for the knob and the retaining points. There is a strong feeling in the body as if it is made of Delrin or something similar. The plastic is not cheap, but it is made of high-quality materials that should serve you well for years. It's easy to install the cartridges and they don't wiggle. It is easy and quick to release them.
I can then twist a knob to load seven rounds. At the range, it is very nice to be able to reload a few times really fast before having to walk across the room Here's the first. The only thing I can say on the slightly negative side is that it can sometimes be difficult to lock the cartridges into the speedloader, but that could just be a matter of learning how to use it. Unlatching never presents In addition, make sure you read the product description to make sure it is compatible with your firearm. I found it to be perfect for S&S The product title clearly states that it is 686+, but that should not be a surprise!.
