Very good stuff you've got there! Extra brass catcher bags were mounted on weapons for me to leave and shoot, so I just moved them from weapon to weapon as I shot
I don't think it will work with a standard Caldwell catcher.
As for the GloryFire bag, it would not work with the Caldwell mount I have. The the GloryFire bag did fit on the Caldwell It depends.
The two set screws that hold this in place are located on either side.

The price is quite high, though. There is a Caldwell Brass Catcher that attaches to this that works much better than those models that use Velcro to attach to the rifle, PLUS it can be easily removed for cleaning it, etc. It may not work in all situations as the scope rings sometimes interfere with correct placement. In some cases, this can be rectified by moving the scope rings on the scope, but then you will have to resight the weapon, of course. An advantage of having a Spare Mouint is that it allows you to use the same brass catcher on several You only have to mount it on the Picatinny Rail and slide the catcher on when you need to use It's worth less than I paid for it. I gave it 3 stars because I found the price to be excessive. It would be more reasonable to charge $8. I'd purchase several of those scopes for use with my various scoped rifles if they were at that price. This product would be five stars if it was offered at that price.
It seems that these factory mounts do not work very well in one instance. In other words, I like the Caldwell design and am unable to imagine my life My Leupold scope is mounted on a low scope mount with "target turrets". It is impossible to attach these due to their protrusions. There was only a teeny bit of sliding mount engagement. In order to create an extended version, I milled and drilled several holes. My Picatinney rail was already blank, and I cut a piece of it from This is what I bought 8 of There are 32 spring-type There were also ball plungers from McMasters that gave just the right amount of The program was built in two evenings. I was quite pleased with how well it worked. A version with added features should be offered by Caldwell As far as I am concerned.
I bought this spare mount so I can use my Brass Catcher with one of my other guns instead of having to purchase a whole new Brass Catcher. In addition to the fact that it works perfectly, the Caldwell brass catcher is also extremely versatile, since it can be mounted on many different guns simply by using its spare mount with other guns and switching from one gun to another that has one of these spare mounts attached. The link to the brass catcher by Caldwell will be included below. Several of my AR's have Brass Catchers that use this device. I purchased it so I can use it with others. Fast shipping and simple to install on the rifle made it a popular choice. I think the price is a bit high, but I think the product is of good quality. In any case, I am glad to have it and it works great.
In case you want to use the Coldwell brass catcher and have more than one AR, it will be very useful if you have one mounted on every one of them. After it has been mounted securely, it can then be forgotten about. While I do not recommend using the brass catcher on three guns because it can sometimes cause a jam, if you are shooting on the range and saving your brass for reloading, it works well and only malfunctions occasionally.
Despite its small size, Caldwell Pic Rail Brass Catcher Spare Mount works very well. Only negative is the cost of the Caldwell Pic Rail Brass Catcher Spare Mount is more than I had expected, but it works for multiple rifles with 1 bag of brass. There are times when I cannot find Spare Mounts at one of my suppliers they are out of stock.
It's a great piece of kit, and a good value. The catcher can quickly be swapped between multiple rifles without tools, making it virtually instantaneous. In fact, if the catcher is placed properly, they easily attach, don't get in the way, and hold on to every round ejected. I think it's a well-priced kit that's well worth the money.
I bought an extra rail for another AR I have a lot of practice with. With the brass catcher, it is easy to keep track of my brass, and I am also saving money on reloading.
