Have any of you machine washed this product? Have you had any issues with the brush embedded within it?

Using an old sock, I put mine in the machine and Resulted in a nice and clean result. I had no problems with the brush embedded in the

How often does the BoreSnake itself need to be cleaned after two or three uses? What's the best way to do it?

Using one has never caused it to get so dirty that I could not use I have never cleaned a ring that has been wet with CLP, but I would do it if I had to. Warm water in a plastic cup with Dawn dish soap worked well. As long as it doesn't get tangled with anything else, it should take care of all the carbon. After air drying it, it was ready to use. I'm still pleased with it.

The Hoppe's Viper Company makes a bore snake for the 308 cal. How do you fire a 62 NAVY ?

I'm sure they The 30 cal. is available.

How early in the snake is it recommended to add the bore cleaner? I wanted to double check, please?

The addition of a small amount of bore cleaner is OK. Before I use the bore snake, I run a few rags through first to keep it as clean as possible.

Now that I have found a 12 gauge pull through that works
5/5

There are many pull through type bore cleaners in my home, and I believe that they are effective. A lot of 45 and 12 gauge are too small in diameter, making them hard to work with. When I purchased one of these items, I learned the hard way that no matter who made it, I should test it right away and not put it up and try it later when I need it, otherwise I may not be able A cleaning rod pushes debris into the bore and into the action of a shotgun by pushing it through the bore. This type of gun is perfect for debris like that. Having this tool is a must for me. From now on, I'll use Vipers.

What the Real Deal Is Buy a real product, not a knock-off
5/5

There is nothing like it out there, and it is better built than any other. As a result, I ceased using the so-called knockoffs and ordered the original for good. At one point, I had ordered the cheaper ones and never received my purchase. At that point, I stopped messing around with the knockoffs. Viper Bore Snake was the best deal found when I searched for the best price. As part of my firearm maintenance, I clean and lubricate my shotguns, rifles, and pistols daily with the Viper Bore Snake. It amazes me that I can still remove carbon debris from the bore using the Viper Bore Snake, even after using solvents, brushes, and patches. It has been some time since I've used this product and I'm very happy with it. The best thing to do is hand wash the items instead of washing them on the machine. You can easily remove all the debris from your clothes with some Dawn Finally, I dry myself by hanging on a line. There is an improvement over the original bore snake with the Viper. If you look closely at the nylon meshing, you will see that it is nylon. There's no doubt this is a great product. You work hard for your money, so I wouldn't recommend anything less than it. You should opt for the best if the cost of the best is a few bucks more.

My favorite bore snake is the one made by Hoppe
5/5

I have used Hoppe's for years. Whenever I shoot a weapon, I run a bore snake through the barrel, and when I'm done, each of them has the look of a mirror inside. They seem to be safer and more effective than traditional rods and patches, in my opinion. It has a brass brush and a bore guide for when it enters the bore. Compared to the original Viper snake, this one seems to be better due to its brass brush. Upon wearing out my old bore snakes, I'll likely replace them with viper versions in both calibers.

The interface is user-friendly
5/5

I will take this product with me on every hunting excursion from Each time we finish hunting and put my shotgun back in its case, I use it. It's so simple and quick to just run it through the barrel a couple of times and pull out all the gunk. Eventually, the rope is used to pull the carbon out after the brass brush is used to scrape all the carbon off. When I completely break down the gun to disinfect and clean it at the end of the season, I'm going to use it to scrub down the gun. The cleaning rod does not need to be so long.

It is essential to clean firearms thoroughly after each use, but a Bore Snake can sometimes be all that is required It is particularly useful when I only have a few rounds to go
5/5

In addition, I find that Bore Snakes are excellent at the extremes of many bore sizes (e. g. A smaller gauge could be smaller (e. g. , 12 gauge). The 22nd). I use them frequently when I have long guns, and they get better with use, just like my mom used old cloth diapers when she dusts the house. In my opinion, Hopp's might be the best. Their gauge seems true to size, and that's key. Brass ends are always secure, and I've never encountered an issue with them detaching. The brand name should be used.

Taking care of your bores has never been easier
4/5

A recommendation from some of our skeet club members was the catalyst for me getting this. You can easily clean the bore of your shotgun even with dirty, cheap shells with it. When it gets dirty, we simply place it inside an old pillowcase, tie it up, and toss it into the washing machine. Of course, you must be careful that the cleaner will not harm your washing machine, but we have never had any.

Is a Go-To Person! Because shotgun bores are so different, finding a good cleaning rod is a real challenge
5/5

So when came across this rod, I decided to try it and have recently used it to clean my 12 gauge shotgun after shooting skeet more than 100 times with it. A little more than two passes through the barrel and she was good as new. I am very impressed with it and happy to have purchased There will be others I buy for my pistols and shotguns as well.

Those who know the Viper know that it is a refined snake
5/5

My previous collection of Hoppe's BoreSnakes in 12 and 20 grain already included a few standard models. This band is a big fan of mine! Compared to patches and brushes, a BoreSnake is a great improvement. I highly recommend it. One instance of the weight coming off the end of the feed string was the only problem I encountered with the original BoreSnake. Some guns may also need its original BoreSnake fabric to be carefully handled when it feeds through the barrel to avoid snagging or pulling. It was important to me to get my hands on the new BoreSnake *Viper* in order to have a second (always clean) BoreSnake and to improve my output from the The use of a tapered cone between the feed string and cleaning fabric on the Viper reduces the possibility of snagging, but some care is required to ensure you don't snag at a different point as the length of fabric passes through the On the Viper, the orange end used for applying oil is a bit bigger and this is part of what makes the new version The bottom line is My family and friends have already given me two more as gifts, so I strongly recommend this product. By the way I found the instructions to be fairly inadequate. To determine Hoppe's Number, I apply the following formula You dropped the weighted feed string through the barrel, stepped on it, and lifted it with the 9 cleaner down near the brushes, oil on the orange end. Does a great job and works fast! It may take me a little longer to go over a barrel after I've run a brush through it if it's very dirty or I didn't clean it promptly (I know, it's a sin).
