There Was A Lemon In My Hands
3/5

The Hoppe's BoreSnakes I purchased were without issue and I purchased multiples. It's been a little over a month since I bought the 20g snake. Today is the first time I've used it on a 20g Remington. I got it 32 days ago. This was the first pass that broke it. I think this boresnake must have been a lemon, since the ones for my other rifles work flawlessly. The item has been over a month by 2 days and cannot be exchanged or refunded since that time has passed.

'Viper' is a refined snake that can be found in any gauge
5/5

Having owned a few standard Hoppe's BoreSnakes in 12ga and 20ga, it made perfect sense to add them to my collection. It's hard for me to describe them in one word! There is no doubt that BoreSnakes are an absolute leap forward over patches and brushes. One instance in which the weight came off the end of the feed string was the only issue I had with the original BoreSnake. In addition, some guns require that you be cautious when feeding the original BoreSnake fabric into their barrels so that it does not snag and pull. In order to avoid disappointment, I purchased both the 20ga and the 20x20 There is a version of this product in 12ga. Due to the fact that I feel the same way about the product in both categories, I am providing the same review for both. As for the new BoreSnake *Viper*, I bought it so that I would have a second BoreSnake (always clean) and to benefit from anything the new model might offer. Viper's use of a tapered cone between the feed string and cleaning fabric does reduce the chance of a snag, but care must be taken so as not to snag at a different point as the length of fabric feeds into the I think this contributes to the new version of the Viper working even better than the original BoreSnake because the orange end for applying oil is larger. The bottom line is this This product is excellent. In fact, I bought two more and gave them to friends and family members By the way I was pretty disappointed with the instructions that came with mine. Hoppe's No. 8 comes to mind. Using the 9 cleaner near the brushes, oil the orange end of the feed string, drop it into the barrel, step on it, and lift it up. I like the speed at which she works and the quality of her work! My practice is to run a brush through the barrel first, if it is very dirty or I didn't clean it promptly (I know, it's a sin).

I like how it works
5/5

It works like it should, and has my highest recommendation if you are like me and find it hard to find the time to clean your guns. I used this product in conjunction with bore cleaning oil and was satisfied with the.

My Mossberg 500 is clean after cleaning
5/5

Compared to Hoppe's BoreSnake, Viper BoreSnake seems to work just a wee bit better. No idea whether it's because the braided part (or appears to be anyway) has a larger diameter or because there is a third brush or both. I found that it took fewer passes to clean and polish the bore. In my case, I use this BoreSnake before running a scan or a jag Then I run a solvent cleaning patch down the bore and I follow it up with a CLP patch. While I am not certain if it makes it any more useful, I have it and I guess it can't hurt to have the "cleaning power" extra.

I like how it works! The barrel was a little difficult to work through in the previous version
5/5

It was a great model An upgrade would be well worth it. I like how easy it is Drop the guide line down and spray cleaner, then retrieve the line from the other end of the guide line. With just one person, it is easy to do. This newer version is much easier to use than my older one, which was too tense to operate.

I use it for a lot of cleansing of my shotguns as I hunt upland birds. This is a product I will be purchasing more I can wash this according to the instructions, but I haven't had to do so Two times I ran it through the barrels and they came out.

Taking care of the cleaning process The caliber and type of these rounds I have purchased for my pistols differ greatly
5/5

While I still use traditional brass brushes, cotton patches, etc. , they do a good job in a hurry, especially if I don't have time to complete a thorough cleaning. As for my new shotgun, I'm confident that it will clean well with this solution.
