With two to three pulls, it usually takes two to three round counts and carbon deposits to have it all done. When I picked up a bottle of Jeany's Cutting Edge Gun Lube, I never really thought about adding oil to the snake! It helps reduce the accumulation of carbon everywhere because it is super thin and lightweight. Check out the Amazon page for more information!

The caliber of each firearm I own is listed below. You've done a great job with these! Toward the front of the bore (where the bristles are) I place a little bore cleaner and towards the end (the larger orange part) I place a little CLP or lubricant. In order to prolong the life of your firearm, run the boresnake through it in the same direction the projectile travels. You can do this by hand to clean the bore of your firearm in the shortest time The best of the best! While it doesn't completely remove the need for a more thorough clean before leaving the range, a quick run before leaving the range is more than enough to sweep away most of the crud before heading home, and it is small and compact enough to fit Although this boresnake had a different color from the one pictured, it was the exact size and fit perfectly through the mouth of My only complaint is that I could not find any fault!.
The first time I used it, it broke. I had the same experience as those who gave it 1 star because it broke on the first A more noticeable difference can be seen at the point where the much thinner lead line attaches There has been a change in the 'new version' that includes a plastic cone piece that is supposed to make it easier to insert into the barrel right where the lead line separated from the cleaning section. In the photo attached you can see how I had to tie a lead line to the end of the snake where it was attached to keep it from breaking on its first that I have tied the string this way, it works like a charm. The brush inserts into the barrel without any problem and pulls out with some resistance, so I know it is cleaning the barrel. It was not worth it for me to return or replace since it works now that it is fixed.
On its first use, the Viper broke, while the cheaper one has been used 3 times already, including the same test the Viper failed.
As long as I can remember, I have always cleaned barrels with a rod and patches. After using it on my very dirty 22lr, I was really surprised how clean the barrel was after only two Those will be more of my picks for my other calibers as well.
Copper brush scrubbers built into this system will make sure you don't have to deal with grime on your bore. Pulling it through the barrel was a bit more difficult than I expected, which means it will clean even.
I broke the first one after just one use at the point where the string is attached to the bore snake, but Bushnell, who own Hopes, sent A normal person can easily pull a thick bore snake, but they require a little muscle to pull but aren't as strong as the standard bore snake.
In order to fit the different calibers of firearms I own, I have several Hoppe's Boresnakes. It is easy to use them. The perfect product for a quick wipe down After some target practice, we're ready to go.
I'm not sure what was wrong with my boresnake. It didn't break, but it was hard to pull through, but overall it worked.
