Small patches that are useful for cleaning the bore and other components on a regular basis.
The cotton patches are universally cut, and the thickness is ideal for general firearm cleaning following each range visit. I'm not a big fan of cleaning pistols, but I do a quick clean of the slide, recoil spring, and anything else that sticks to the frame. However, because of the lead buildup and residue, I clean the insides of the barrels thoroughly. The cotton material of these patches is ideal for the job because it quickly absorbed all of the black particles inside the bore. I only needed to use three of them. My pistol is now clean, just as it was before I went to the range, thanks to four patches. And a patch costs less than a penny, so it's a good deal.
I'm not sure why these are marked for a pistol that fires 9mm rounds. I've used them on a 9mm pistol as well as a. Rifle, 22 caliber. The proportions are ideal for both. br>br>The rectangular shape is suitable for a wide range of calibers. Because they are made entirely of cotton, they are extremely soft and absorbent, making them ideal for rubbing a drop or two of lubricating oil into the barrels when cleaning them out. I should also mention that there have been no loose threads in my experience; they are very well-knit. br>br>I am extremely pleased with these and would recommend them to anyone.
Today I received these patches in the mail. They're made of a very soft cotton and are smaller and thinner than the ones I've been using to clean my guns. In addition, these are rectangular rather than the typical square shape. As a result, they have a 1-to-1 ratio. A typical 22LR patch is 1/2 the size of a typical 9 mm/357 patch, and a typical 9 mm/357 patch is 3/4 the size of a typical 22LR patch. However, they function well and should be suitable for cleaning firearms ranging from 22LR to 9 mm.
I'm not sure what kind of fabric these patches are made of, but they're fantastic. It isn't the cotton cloth that we used in the past. Those old-style cotton patches were thin and looked like they were made of the same material as cheap t-shirts. shirts. This is a unique material that works exceptionally well. It is absorbent, does not easily shred, and is generally pleasant to work with. These patches are good. These are much better than the thin cotton patches I was expecting.
