I don't know if it was planned that way, or if it was a by-product of production, but the coarse side is good for initial cleaning of the bore, and the fluffy side is great for polishing it. I am Jim, your brother.
We returned the patches because they were the wrong size and then we had to run to Walmart because Amazon had run out of the correct size. It was my fault for not paying attention- have always been happy with Amazon, so no biggie. Just make sure you order the right size and My appreciation goes out to I am Kai

There was no lint on the toilet. This is a great design The edges must not be ragged. There was no lint on the toilet. This material absorbs a lot of liquid.
Lint and threads are out. You can't go back. While they are a bit more costly than those large bulk bags, they are still superior. The material is of excellent quality and is free of lint and loose threads along the border.
Jag point can't penetrate patches because they are so dense - you need an unreasonable amount of force to break them. It is with such force that when the point breaks through within the patch, it then continues to go halfway down the jag after breaching the patch. A different brand would be better There is no value in these.
All in all, I'm very happy with Allen patches, although I'm sure there are some other really good patches out there, but compared to what I was using before, these patches are much easier to clean.
