Hello, my name is Carter Cox, and I'm the owner of these Solid Tactical Ammo Cans. They have never been used before. They're made by the same company that makes NATO cans, and they're one of three companies that make cans for the US military. We (Solid Tactical) bought this listing about 13 years ago from someone selling military surplus (used cans) on it (hence the reviews with pictures of old used cans). On the other hand, we've never sold used cans on the site. That said, even brand new cans can develop minor scratches or scuffs as a result of being shipped in cardboard boxes that rub against each other. Some pirate sellers have attempted to sell used ammo cans on our listing on occasion (I'm not sure why Amazon allows this), but every time we catch them, Amazon removes them. If you're unsure whether you're buying an actual Solid Tactical Ammo can, make sure you select "Solid Tactical" from the drop-down menu when adding a can to your cart. DO NOT BUY FROM "AmmoCanMan" or "OzarkOutoorz" if your order is being fulfilled by another seller, as they are listed as pirates on the listing.
I have a tall 50 caliber can with about 600 12 gauge rounds in it and still have room for a few more boxes of various calibers.
Please accept my apologies for the three-year delay in responding. However, I was able to squeeze 700 pounds into my suitcase. In a 30 caliber ammo can, there are 750 loose 556 rounds. Based on the larger dimensions of this can. For this 50 cal can, I'd say 1200 is a good guess.

My father served in the Marine Corps for 27 years as a sniper and died recently. He reloaded ammunition as a hobby after retiring from the USMC in 1972; he did so for the next 35 years. In fact, he used the entire basement as a reloading area. I bought this Ammo Can as a Cremation Urn for my father because I thought it was the perfect symbol for him and represented who he was. This Ammo Can has exceeded my expectations in every way; To me, it is more valuable than the most expensive Urn.
I've bought seven of these in the last few years. I could get them for less money, but I think the quality is worth the money. I have the ability to cram 1000 words into a short period of time. 223/. With ease, I was able to fire 556 rounds and a silica gel moisture absorber. br>br>5-year update I deducted one star because I received the most recent order of these and they are not brand new as they have been in the past; they still serve my purpose, but I don't think they are worth $29 each with a couple of dents, faded paint, and surface rust; one had dried grass clippings inside. I will order again in the future and review again.
Dad was a member of the United States Army during the TET Offensive in Vietnam. He was a kind man who never raised his hand or voice to my mother or his children, always putting his wife and children first. He was someone we always admired and admired. He was a huge supporter of our country and the US Army. He used to joke that if he cut himself, he would bleed OD green. Dad passed away recently, and it occurred to me that the only vessel fit for this valiant and highly decorated soldier had to be "Government Issue. " I've got a professional painter ready to stencil Dad's name and dates on this 50 caliber ammo can. The best Military-spec product I could find was exactly what I was looking for. Solid Tactical not only delivered, but they also double-checked to make sure everything was in order. This Spring, I will have the honor of presenting Dad with his full military honors. It will be stenciled and clear coated by a professional. At a ceremony at The Vererans Memorial, I will be honored to present this one-of-a-kind vessel. Thank you for your support, Solid Tactical! br>In honor of MSGT William Rhodes, US Army, who served from 1925 to 1945. 2015 br>I adore you, Dad!.
I ordered two of these and they both arrived without silica packs, and the second one was slightly damaged on the outside and had some sort of goo on it, which was kind of gross. I won't be doing any more business, so I'll need a few more of these boxes.
It's not a big deal, but I think the extra packaging will help protect the product. br>br>To this day, this vendor is still at the top of my ammo can shopping list! This book comes highly recommended. br>br>When I received the packages, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered three, and each one arrived in its own box, brand new and gleaming! I'll definitely buy more because these ammo cans can be used in a variety of ways! Value for money is only 4 stars because they are not cheap, but I understand given how well packaged and new they are.
These are a very good ammo box when compared to Walmart and other places, but I'm not sure if it's made in the United States or Poland; according to the nsn (nato stock number), there are only three manufacturers who supply the United States military with picatinny arsenals, and two in Poland. Their stamping is not visible beneath the m2a1. The m19a1 is used by Federal ammunition for their 420 rounds of m193 or m855 from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. I'm not sure who makes these.
This is where I'll keep my ammunition for my new AK-47. I wasn't expecting the can to arrive sooner than it did. It has a great appearance, is well-made, and can hold 500 7mm rounds. 62x39 without a hitch. The desiccant packs are also a nice addition. I'm a big shooter who buys ammo in large quantities. I'll definitely order another one of these the next time I need an ammo can. Oh, and those purchasing these in bulk ammunition may want to consider purchasing a quantity of ziplock quart-sized bags. They save space and provide an additional layer of bullet protection, in my opinion.
Unlike my previous purchase, this box isn't powder coated. It's spray painted, and not in a good way. They didn't even wait for the paint to dry before sealing the box, making it impossible to open. It's been sanded down and repainted. I despise sellers who send me useless, low-cost junk while claiming it's the same item I purchased previously. It's a total lie.
