Questions & Answers

Is it possible to hang the rifle vertically rather than horizontally with this?

Because they clip into the mag release, our rifle mounts can be mounted horizontally or vertically. We tested both orientations extensively and found no issues. We have an AR-based system in our offices. With a large scope and bi-directional firing, the 10 vertical is mounted on a mount with a large scope and bi-directional firing. I've been using the pod for a while now and haven't had any issues. On the back of the mount, there are three holes: two on the top for horizontal mounting, and one on the top and one in the center for vertical mounting.

Is there one for a short action aics 308?

We don't have one yet, but we're working on it. Thank you for your inquiry!

Is it able to lock in either direction? If not, in what direction should the barrel be pointed?

Yes, both directions will be locked. Because your mag release button must be pressed in order to release the gun from the wall mount, the method shown to the right is the best option. Your gun, like your magazine, was securely fastened to the wall mount. If the gun is pointed to the left, you must press the mag release button, which is located between the gun and the wall.

What's the best way to hang this piece?

The mount has three holes in it. Two EZ drywall anchors and two screws are included with the mounting kit. That was sufficient to support my AR, and I mounted it vertically without the use of a stud.

The most amazing mount I have ever seen
5/5

It "got stuck" in the magazine well, according to someone else. It locks into the mag like a magazine, and to remove it, you must press the magazine release button. That's the only way to keep it safe. I'm not sure if that was an act of stupidity or not. This is a fantastic device.

SHOW ME YOUR MONEY BOYS, SHOW ME YOUR MONEY,,"QUICK" Money Making Concept So, I ordered two of these for my bedroom, and when they arrived, I was underwhelmed
3/5

I'm aware that they're made of 3D plastic from a 3D printer, but who cares? First, the two "mounting holes" at the top are barely big enough to use a 3/16 WOOD SCREW, and the center hole is too small for a real lag bolt. So I "revamped" mine by drilling the upper holes to "FIT A 3/16 WOOD SCREW, REAMED THE CENTER HOLE FOR A REAL LAG BOLT(3/8), AND THEN COUNTER SUNK THE CENTER HOLE, SO THE HEAD OF THE REAL "LAG BOLT" SITS LOW ENOUGH INTO THE MOUNT FOR THE RIFLE TO CLEAR THE HEAD. I kept them to avoid the hassle of returning them, but I'm thinking of having some made out of billet aluminum with holes drilled so they can be mounted vertically into a stud with safety head lag bolts. Third, if you have a light system, use the forward vertical grip, also known as Q. THE SINGLE MOUNT ON THE SIDE OF YOUR HAND RAIL WILL NOT CLEAR THE WALL BECAUSE THERE IS INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE HAND RAIL. THE PART THAT GOES INTO THE MAG WAS NOT LOCATED FAR ENOUGH FROM THE "MOUNTING BRACKET" PART. It's fine for a quick money-making bandwagon item, as I previously stated.

That's exactly what I was looking for! I needed a way to mount and store my rifles without having to keep them in their cases (which would be bad for them in the long run)
5/5

I wanted them to be high and out of the way, as well as secure. br>br>These mounts were effective. Only two of the three mounting holes can hit a stud due to their spacing. The kit includes two anchors and two mounting screws. I wish they came with three screws, because these are expensive rifles, and I want them to be as secure as possible. br>br>I mounted them to hold the rifles horizontally, so I angled them slightly to help keep them from falling off easily if the magazine catch didn't engage for some reason. br>br>The cable lock hole is an excellent feature for anyone who wants to be responsible and ensure that no one who shouldn't has easy access has it. br>br>They're adequate for their purpose and perform as expected, but at $20, they're a bit pricey. They seem to belong in the $12 - $15 range to me. I'm willing to spend a little more to support an American company, so I'm in the $15 range.

5/5

Update: I recently received a new mount without asking for it, and it is much better than the previous one. The rigidity and finish are far superior to that of high-end components. I was blown away by their customer service, which I contacted because I was having trouble receiving a new mount in the mail. In less than a day, they got back to me. I'm very pleased with this new mount because it shows that the company is paying attention to the needs of its customers. Their Pmag mount was also purchased by me. Spartan Mounts will be receiving more of my business in the future. Thank you very much. It's 3D printed material. br>br>Old post: It's 3D printed material. If you try to hold it against the wall, it will break. It is doomed to fail. It'll become a wobbly mess if you don't tighten it. It looks fantastic and performs admirably; But, because it failed again, I epoxied it to give it more strength.

Perfect: sturdy, simple to install, and excellent in appearance and functionality
5/5

Excellent layout - I was able to find a stud in the right place, so it was super easy to mount, but even if you can't, they include a couple of drywall screws, so it will work in either case.

Excellent mounting option! I decided to add a block of wood to give the rifle a little more room so it wouldn't hit the wall when mounted and unmounted
5/5

Two of the three screws go into a stud, and the third uses an anchor that comes with the kit. The rifle is secure in the mount, but the fit is sloppy; it locks in (like a mag) but wobbles around. I'm confident in the mount and don't have any concerns about it falling out or off the wall.

When it comes to 3D printing, There are a lot of people who aren't aware of what is going on
5/5

I've had one for a while and keep my duty rifle in it almost every day. The printing process makes the part stronger and eliminates the need for a 90-degree corner, which prevents stress fractures in poured, injected, or solid-molded parts. This piece contains a LOT more engineering than meets the eye. The myth that 3D printed parts are made of cheap plastic is no longer valid. Plastics that are more recent are chosen for their strength and durability. They aren't made out of melted soda bottles.

I wish there was a little more room between where the item mounts to the wall and where the rifle is held because it was barely pushing on my scope when I put it on the wall mount
5/5

I took a small piece of wood and cut it to the size of the wall-mounted part, drilled holes in it, and hung it on the wall with longer screws. I really like it, but the gap between the wall plate and the rifle mounts could be a little longer so it's easier to release the rifle and grab it in case it's needed quickly.
