Questions & Answers

Do these hold magpul pmag mags in addition to magpul pmag mags?

Other than lancers, they are not designed to hold others.

Is it possible to use GI steel mags after making a magnet modification?

I was curious about this. I just loaded 6 (empty) GI steel mags into the rack; if you put them "bullets up," the mag lock slot is above the plastic and they stay in place. With the added weight of the bullets, a little more grip would be beneficial. They don't fit as well as a PMAG, but /shrug they're here to stay. I think you could drill a few small holes and put some magnets in these, or mount them above the back rail, because they are sturdy enough. br>br>Attention: br>br>Disclaimer: If you try and fail, it doesn't mean they can't be modded; it just means you don't have the knowledge or skills to do so. Shooting the messenger is not a good idea.

Will this be enough to keep the ak p-? mags?

The AR- My ar10 mag is held securely in the 10 mount, while my 7 is held loosely. (ak-) 26x39 pmag

Will the magazines be able to hang properly if a dust cover is used?

I'm not sure what kind of dust cover you're talking about, but these things are legit, so I don't see why not as long as they can sit or lay in the slots as intended.

Fact: I'm going to buy a lot more! I didn't pay attention to the other review that said it was total garbage
5/5

Regardless, I bought it, assuming it was worthless. What is garbage, exactly? br>br>To cut a long story short, I'm glad I took the chance. It's not flashy, and there's no gleaming chrome, but it works, and that's all that matters to me. It's a PMAG holder that was 3D printed. I can't emphasize this point enough, so I'll say it once more. PMAG 5 is the model number. Not every magazine will fit in this 56-hole holder. PMAG IS THE BRAND NAME OF THE PRODUCT. 223/5. 56! br>br>Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to business with the image. If you hang the magazines as shown with the curve to the wall, your wall mount will not sit properly unless it is screwed to a 3/4-inch thick wall. They fit nicely in the holder if you spin them around so that the curve is out. It could work either way with another 3/4" of molding behind them. (Suggestions to the Manufacturer) This is the reason for the 4 star rating rather than the 5 star rating. Also, as a minor aside: I used my pocket knife to fix one minor sharp edge. br>br>I'm sure someone will read this and say something along the lines of "if you hang them curve out, the bullet is facing the room, that's dangerous. " I'm as concerned about that as I am about my gun waking up and going on a shooting spree by itself. It's probably even safer because the primer isn't exposed to being struck by something. That said, I don't keep all of my magazines loaded, so it's not a big deal. Leaving the springs loaded is difficult on the springs. If you invest in a good speed loader, you won't have to: ) Leaving one loaded to protect your home and family seems paranoid until you need it, at which point it seems sensible. br>br>I don't need to add a disclaimer because I don't work for them, didn't receive any discounts, was not paid to write a review, and don't have to be to be a satisfied customer. br>br>4/21/2018 Update: Here's why I raised my rating from four to five stars. I recently relocated my mount and realized that I had been harsh on them regarding the angle. When I first installed it, there was a slight incline on the back of it, indicating that I over-installed it. As I tightened it, it drew that into the sheet rock, reducing the angle. I was a little more cautious on my remount, and it appears to have improved slightly. You can hang a magazine in the manner shown; it isn't perfect, but it is an improvement over the previous method.

Really, it's for show
3/5

Update: A joint in the arm was broken. br>br>Now that I've had a chance to use it, I'll offer some feedback. The printing could be a little more durable, and the shell has a little roughness to it, but I don't mind because it acts as a friction grab to keep mags from moving around freely. The only criticism I have is that the infill appears to be a little thin. The protruding arms from the base appear to be a little too flexible for my tastes, so I've been treating it with caution in case it can't take the strain. This is for storage purposes only, and should not be used in combat or for practicing drills because someone will tug or twist in the wrong direction during the rapid movement required for drills, and the arm(s) may break. I'm not willing to put that to the test because I prefer my machine to be in good working order, but keep that in mind. Overall, I like the product, but Spartan Mounts could improve and strengthen it a little.

Perfection in P mag
5/5

These are designed to fit Magpul P magazines perfectly. To catch them, this mounting system requires an extruded lip on the bottom of the magazine, which USGI magazines do not have. The installation is simple, and the screws and wall anchors provided appear to be adequate, though I did not use them because the depth of the wood inside my safe prevented me from using the length of those screws. I gave the value for money four stars because it appears to be a bit pricey. If it were half the price, I would have bought four, but at the current price, it leaves me second-best. I'm debating whether or not I should get a second one. In Spartan's defense, I have no idea how much the printing machines cost. As a result, it's possible that this is a pointless discussion. Apart from that, I really like how it looks and functions in terms of removing loose magazines and properly aligning them. I'd like to see differentiating colors to distinguish between ball and personal defense rounds, or even different grains or calibers. For the record, my x6 mags weigh in at 7 pounds 8 ounces when fully loaded. 5 ounces. With my 5/8 wood safely stored in my safe, the 1. Wood screws with a diameter of 25 inches perform admirably. Please accept my apologies for the photo rotation once again. (Ask Amazon if you want to know more. ).

THIS IS SOMETHING I WOULD BUY AGAIN
5/5

PMAG GEN M2 and GEN M3 magazines are both in use by me. GUN SKINS help me quickly distinguish between different loads. The wraps were scratched and torn by a similar product. The wrapped mags fit perfectly in these SPARTAN racks, and they kept a firm grip on them. They're sturdy and simple to put together, and they can easily hold six fully loaded 30rd magazines.

Build quality is excellent
5/5

So I got these for a gun locker project I'm working on. Wow is all I have to say. First and foremost, the product's packaging is very nice, almost too nice: it came in a cardboard box with the logo on it. The mount was kept in a drawstring cloth bag on the inside. I noticed that the mount's arms were breaking off in some reviews. I tried flexing them to see if I could crack one, but it didn't work. After that, I had to figure out how I was going to mount them to my cabinet. The two outer screw holes are 7 inches apart on center, according to my measurements. My mounts now attach by pegboard, thanks to a little modification to a plastic pegboard attachment and a torch. I did a weight test of the completed build, and it held 8 loaded mags (6 in the mount, 2 laying on top), so it should be plenty strong. I will recommend them and purchase more of their products.

Look no further if you want a good product at a good price
5/5

I looked into more complicated options, but this one takes the cake. I bought two to try out and plan to buy more. Solid construction, well-thought-out design, and low price. br>br>When I first saw the design, I was blown away. It has a slight cant to keep mags from sliding forward, and the brackets are perfectly shaped for p mags, with the included drywall fasteners holding full 30 rd mags with ease. I'm confident they'll also hold 40-round p mags. br>br>I've also used it to secure steel magazines that were resting on the safe beneath it. Surprisingly, the gaps appear to be tight enough to hold full steel magazines (see photo). Despite the fact that I've had loaded Pmags in it for over a month without issue, I only discovered this trick today.
