Ar mags are compatible with it. 5. It works well with my blackout. There's no difference between 56 and 223

It does what I need it to do

It's as solid as it gets. br>br>I put these in my closet and was surprised at how tough they were. It was simple to install, and the mag lock functioned properly. br>br>For a standard p mag, the magazine holder was a little too tight.

It is necessary to update the location of the lock

It's a good mount, but the holes for the lock should have been drilled vertically through the mag lock so that you can feed the cable lock down the mag and into the lock.

The magazine holder is a little too tight

It's stylish and secures my weapon well, but it's not compatible with my standard AR magazine. br>Fits too snugly; I can only put the magazine on the edge, which is annoying but not enough to bother me.

Only holds Pmag loosely and not metal mags

Although the mount will securely hold an AR, the mag holder is useless. The metal GI style mags are not held at all, and the crappy plastic Pmags are held only loosely. Other reviews claim that it will hold a metal magazine, so it's either a bad mag hold design or poor quality control. It is not going to happen!.

This mount performs better than I anticipated, and despite the fact that a chain and lock are included, I plan to upgrade. I'll buy it again because it also holds plastic magpul mags.
