I like them because I go on month-long wilderness trips and always have a backup 9mm with me. I like to have extra rounds on hand in addition to my mags because you never know what might happen. Anyway, I like having a variety of ammo on hand for various reasons. I take a 100-round box of solid copper bullets, XTPs, Hardcasts, and whatever else I need for practice and whatever else comes up, and I take a 100-round box of solid copper bullets, XTPs, Hardcasts, and whatever else comes up.
You can store the rounds with the bullet facing upwards, and I find that they stay in the container better this way. That's how I keep them organized in my five containers.
The weapon must be unloaded and stored in a secure location. The ammunition can be stored in that case as long as it is kept in a separate container or box. When flying, there can't be any loose ammo.

The case is well-made, and the material is much more durable than it appears. However, 9mm ammo does not fit properly, and when fully loaded, it rattles excessively. I was fortunate in that I had recently purchased a rifle case and had plenty of foam left over. I stuffed the foam into each slot after cutting it up. It still rattles a little, but not nearly as much as it did previously. I'll keep it, but I'm not going to order any more.
functionality. I bought two of these to see how they were and to see if I liked them enough to buy more if I did. br>br>Considering how cheap they are, they're actually a little more sturdy than I expected. The plastic has a solid thickness to it. The clasps close easily and aren't difficult to reopen. The way the lid opens and closes has an extra, I don't know, "beefiness" to it. It's not spring-loaded or anything, but I was expecting the top and bottom of the box to be fused together by a thin layer of plastic, as most cheap molded plastic items are, but these boxes are much more solid. The rounds rattling around a little when the lid is closed and the box is shaken, but they're still secure. The box is also very clean and crisp in appearance, with no thin spots or untrimmed flash from the sides. They also stack very well on top of each other. br>br>My only real concern is the way the rounds fit together. This box isn't an exact fit because it's made to hold a variety of calibers (I use 9mm). Though the rounds will be perfectly safe and secure once the lid is closed if you store them primer side up, they don't sit quite right and have a little wiggle room, causing them to sit unevenly and rattle around. It's more of an aesthetic issue than anything else, and I understand that it's a minor quibble. When you open the box, it appears to be a mess. You can solve this problem by storing your rounds primer side down, which keeps them all flush with each other, but it makes them a little more difficult to pick out of the box because all you have to grab is the rounded tip of the bullet. br>br>In general, I'd give these a 4 or a 4 out of 5 stars. Despite the minor flaws, I'll most likely be ordering more of these boxes in the future.
I bought one to check fitment and see if it would work for me when I start reloading (9mm). I threw in 100rnds and they fit perfectly; they may move around a little but that is more than enough. Time will tell if the plastic is strong enough to withstand a lot of abuse, but I am pleased with my initial purchase.
These are either not designed for 9mm or are poorly constructed. Because rounds have a lot of room to move around, it takes a long time to close the lid. There is also insufficient space between rounds to grab each round and mash mags. On range day, remove the dividers from mine and use them to store loose hollow point home defense rounds. I did, however, purchase two boxes for the price of one. 45 rounds that were a perfect fit.
These are excellent cases for storing ammunition, but I believe the original box would take up less space if you were storing 1000s of rounds. This makes calculating the number of rounds you fired at the range a breeze. Like I did when I ordered it, I don't believe it's necessary. These allow me to quickly distinguish between defensive and range ammo.
Although the case is well-made, the bullet nose is a little sloppy. That is why the overall rating is four stars. A piece of green 1/8" felt was glued to the underside of the lid to fix the problem. Now that I've tried them out, I'm quite pleased with them and have purchased two more. Another reviewer had already made the correction. Also, according to another reviewer, Midway sells the same brand box for less money. I checked it out, and he was correct; however, their shipping costs are astronomically high, making Amazon Prime a much better deal.
I bought a few of these ammo boxes to put to the test, and I wasn't expecting much. The quality of the product pleasantly surprised me. The closing mechanism is sturdy, and the overall plastic thickness exceeds my expectations. The boxes also stack very well, which is a nice bonus.
(Used for 9MM Luger)br>br>Effective product that houses and holds 100 rounds in place, has a reliable snap close mechanism, and is inexpensive (under $4 USD). br>br>Durability can vary depending on the treatment. My cases aren't subjected to a great deal of strain. Visiting the indoor/outdoor range is all that is required. The latch is secure and rounds in place even when the entire case is turned upside down. Rounds can be seated with the primer side up or down, but it appears that the primer side down is the best option. br>br>I apply my own labels, but the case comes with a number of them. br>br>On a more personal level, MTM provides a variety of options for difficult situations. MTM offers healthy stock to maintain that consistency, which I prefer with my supplies and equipment.
