It was purchased for the purpose of storing my AAA batteries. However, it is inconvenient for that purpose. The AAA batteries fit perfectly, but they extend all the way to the bottom of the compartments. So, if I only need one battery, I must turn it upside down and remove all of them. However, I believe it will come in handy for my pastel sticks. AA batteries will not fit into this device.

I've purchased a number of MTM ammo cases for my reloaded ammunition, and they have never let me down. They're well-built and reliable. The plastic appears to hold up well over time without becoming brittle, and these cases appear to be able to withstand even the coldest range trips without cracking. The active hinges are far superior to the competitors' ammo boxes' flexible thin plastic "hinges," which are only good for 20 rounds. Depending on the temperature, they can last up to 50 cycles before cracking. br>br>With the muzzle blast of a 50 BMG, I once blew one of these MTM ammo boxes off a bench. Even though the rounds were scattered, the MTM ammo box remained intact. Windshields have been shattered by that pressure wave in the past. This is a fantastic ammo box. Extremely tough and long-lasting. To keep rounds from moving around, I eventually ordered some foam and cut it to fit in the lids of all my ammo boxes. MTM boxes simply feel the most durable and secure.
