I haven't had to replace any broken parts yet, so I'm not sure.
YES! They'd be ideal because they'd act as a noise buffer. You'll still be able to hear what your friends are saying.
They are quite comfortable on my head, and I had to purchase a children's cap because women's caps were too big for me.
They're made to shield your ears from the loud, damaging BOOM of firearms while still allowing you to hear what's going on around you at the gun range.

Nope - They came from China. This alone makes me want to come back. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> For outdoor shooting, the ear protection is adequate, but for indoor range shooting, it is insufficient. All of the available information and photos point to this product being used for shooting, but the product's information sheet contradicts this. A photograph is attached. "Walker's Slim Shooting Folding Muff - br>br>It says at the top of the information sheet "Walker's Slim Shooting Folding Muff - br>br> RAZOR series," but the bottom of the sheet states, "the NRR is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection against impulsive noise such as gunfire. "br>br>I'll go back and get some that are guaranteed for gunfire as well as inside range shooting. " They do, however, appear to be attractive.
I can't speak to function because this review is solely focused on fit. I read a few reviews and determined that they were appropriate for children by answering questions. Use caution when doing so. My head is 21" in circumference, so I wear child-size hats most of the time. I can't wear these muffs because they're too big. They sit on the top edge of my ears after being adjusted down until the band reaches the top of the muffs. The headband is also square, rather than curved to fit the shape of my head, so it only rests on one point on top of my head. There's about a 1/2-inch gap between the band and the top of my head when I pull them up to proper placement. They're too big even with my hat on.
Even when standing next to a, these are excellent noise-cancelling headphones. The 50 BMG is being used. However, the volume knob does not appear to be restrictive enough; it will ride down. I noticed that my volume kept getting lower and lower throughout the day, and the dial kept going down, forcing me to turn it back up. br>br>Also, make sure they are securely seated on your ears because even the tiniest gap can cause ringing, as I discovered while adjusting them on a hot muggy day. br>br>However, the sound is good; I could clearly hear everyone on the range, even if they were only lightly conversing; it's almost like eavesdropping, and it can also be very trippy if you're on an omni-directional range. I couldn't tell if it was the person next to me/closer talking or the people 15 yards behind me firing down long range (in the opposite direction) because of the directional range.
I really like the color, and the noise cancellation is fantastic. These are not comfortable to wear for long periods of time; I can only wear them for about 15 minutes before I need to remove them to rest my ears. Because I have a small head, I believe the actual ear muff part is too big for me. I got these on sale for $30 and would buy them again, but if you plan on wearing them for a long time, you might want to consider a set with more padding on the ear muff.
Electronic muffs were required for a one-day handgun course. They worked better than other muffs I've tried, but they became uncomfortable after a while when worn with my prescription glasses. It would have been more comfortable if the safety glasses had thinner side/ear pieces, but I don't have that option. This was made easier by moving around and adjusting the fit every half-hour to hour. The noise cancellation was adequate, but it is critical to position the muff over the glasses side/ear pieces in such a way that the muff touches the entire circumference of the ear as much as possible, which is true of all muffs. There were no issues with the volume control or the noise level - The muffs did a fantastic job. The rubber jack plug on mine comes out easily, but other than that, these are great muffs for the money!.
During the shoot, I wore the muffs. 40 caliber pistol, as well as an AR-15 rifle. The noise cancellation is excellent. br>br>Here are a few things I ran into that you might not. First-- when I wore muffs while using the AR- The muffs were obstructing my vision. It's possible that I was holding the rifle incorrectly. As a result, it's possible that this is the result of a user error. Also- I visited in the middle of July, when the temperature was in the high nineties. As a result, I perspired profusely- The muffs became slick and uncomfortable as a result of this. Apart from that, br>br> I'd make another purchase.
I'm impressed by the first test. I expected similar results because I had always used the low-cost loaner muffs at the indoor range. These, on the other hand, were a huge improvement. Being a woman, I found that being able to adjust these added a lot to the experience (the loaners never felt right on my head). It takes some getting used to at first, but it's a pretty good system in the end. When paired with my regular soft foam plugs at the indoor range, noise cancellation was excellent. I'm not sure if I would recommend using these indoors unless you don't mind doubling up, but everyone is different. br>I'll update once I've had a chance to use them more.
I tried a custom mold ear kit where you heat it up and mold it to your ear shape, but I couldn't get the fit right, so I bought these Walker's. Not only did they provide excellent protection, but they were also very comfortable and adjustable. I bought one for my daughter as well, and she loves it! I recommend these over the do-it-yourself ear kits; they're a waste of time; save yourself the trouble and get these instead; you'll be glad you did.
