Questions & Answers

From a single stick, how many hunts can you get? To me, it appears to be quite costly. ?

Last season, I played with a stick the entire time- Hunting for about 30 days- I'm still using it this season, despite the fact that it's running out of steam and losing some of its effectiveness. I store it in a plastic baggie when not in use to prevent it from drying out. I mostly use it as a cover scent on my boots and in the trees around me.

When you send it out, how long will it be effective?

If you put it on a tree or in a scrape, it will dry out in about 48 hours; if you put it on your boots and the grass or ground has moisture, it will take another 24 to 48 hours to dry out.br>I've used it on mock scrapes and deer will eventually send over the top over the Evercalm and you won't need to do much once they take over the scrape.

Is it possible that this will also attract more unwanted visitors to my yard, such as bears? coyote? Is it possible that my main purpose would be to attract only deer?

It's possible, but unlikely, in my opinion. It attracts deer quite well.

Is this something that you can do when you're stuck in a rut?

It's a soothing scent that works all the time.

I tried this product on several occasions. I believe that how deer react to it varies regionally, if not microscopically. on a regional level The approaching deer were either extremely wary or turned and ran the four times I tried it. Not everything is equal when it comes to hunting. The Evercalm can be overtaken by your scent, and the wind directions can shift subtly. What are the chances? Deer were not calmed by this stuff, but they were threatened or at the very least alerted to something unfamiliar in their area, in my experience. I'll probably try it again every now and then just to be sure, but only if I'm already having a bad day.

I could only make a three-pointer on one side or better, so I just stood there and watched as he got closer
4/5

I was in a deer stand on a bomb range in South Carolina the first time I used this. When I arrived at 5 a. m. , I spread it out all over the stand. I put it on the seat next to me with the cap off to keep the scent in the air while I was sitting in the stand. At 715 a. m. , a four-pointer walked through the clearing, right toward my stand; I could only shoot a three-pointer on one side or better, so I just stood there and watched as he came within 10 yards of my stand; when I looked back up at the clearing, I saw another buck emerge from the pines. It was a six-pointer for this one. I waited and watched him through my stop in the hopes of getting a good shot, and then the dam 4 pointer and the 6 pointer got into a fight. While this was going on, a spike buck emerged from the same clearing as the previous two. It was impossible for me to believe what I was hearing. As a result, the two stopped fighting, and I was able to get a clean shot and make the 6-pointer. When I pulled the trigger on the other two deer, they barely flinched and stayed for another 15 minutes. Before finally trotting off, I sat for 20 minutes. This stuff works, but it's not a guarantee; I've tried it again and haven't seen anything, so don't think it's the be-all and end-all. If deer are in the area and smell it, they will investigate, and once they get around it, it will calm them down. The four-star rating is due to the fact that it is very soft, and you may end up spreading more than you intended, so be aware of this.

It's more effective than I expected
5/5

I was skeptical at first, but after using it for the last half of the hunting season, I can confidently say it worked. when I went down to fill my feeder or when I was changing the cable at my feeder I smeared it all over the place, on rocks, branches, the legs of my feeder on the path back to my stand, the outside of my stand, and the souls of my feet as I walked around. I returned to my stand, and within 20 minutes, deer were flocking to the feeder as if I hadn't been there at all. Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning, I shot my first buck, followed by a second buck and a doe. br>My only complaint was that it was a little flaky and not as soft as I had hoped. It's difficult to say whether it was a new one or an old one that was sent to me. However, I am confident that I will use it again this season.

It attracts a lot of deer
5/5

My all-year-round favorite cover scent. I primarily used it on the bottom and sides of my boots as I walked in, as well as a few trees near my stand or blind. Several buck and doe have followed my boot prints all the way to my tree. Deer have also hung out for about 20 minutes looking for more deer. Only problem is that if you use it a lot, they may start bedding close to you, so be careful getting to and from your stand. To avoid spooking everything, I prefer to put some on my boots and hat and walk in and out in the dark without using a flashlight. With the evercalm, I've had the most success in SE Ohio, with some luck in NC as well. Deer in the neighborhood are under a lot of stress and are always spooky.

This product has given me mixed results so far, so I'm not completely sold on it. I'm not sure if it's because they interpret the smell as an intruder in their territory, or if it's because they recognize the smell as foreign, or what, but my current thoughts are that it calms younger deer but puts mature deer on high alert. I'm not sure if it's because they interpret the smell as an intruder in their area, or if it's because they recognize the smell as foreign, or what. All I know is what I've seen on camera photos after applying it to an area, as well as what I've seen in person over the course of about 5 or 6 hunts. I've had young deer come directly downwind of me and act nervous, as if they're about to bolt, but then they sniff the air in the direction of the Evercalm, give the "all clear" tail wag, and go back to their normal routine. A large mature doe with her yearling in tow has also walked into my stand sight, looking completely relaxed and unconcerned. free. She went on high alert as soon as she got close to where I applied the Evercalm, raising her tail and scanning the woods back and forth for about 2 minutes before stomping and bolting out of there, blowing like a whistle all the way away. That is my point of view on the matter.
