Weighing only 3. 4 oz, the handle feels very sturdy and comfortable to hold. I am shocked at how thick and sharp the metal is! This leather case attaches to my pack easily and is great for every day use. A single gal can easily pack this and take her small dog backcountry backpacking in Texas without having to worry about hogs, coyotes, cougars, sasquatch or tremors.

If you're just looking for a tool to use when camping or hiking, then this is a nice purchase at $20, but not something I would fully rely upon.
