Questions & Answers

Do you get the molle attachment with it?

The one I just gave you Check for "MB" as part of the item number to find one that does. The 4P-MOLLE attachment on the other hand does have the MOLLE attachment, so this one would be four-part. My sincere thanks go out to I am deeply grateful to you,

Among those who know the CRKT knives, does anyone know the Elishewitz F. In the event that one had to be chosen for survival, which would you choose?

Esee's heat treatment on the 1095 steel is absolutely fantastic and makes for a razor sharp edge that stays sharp for very long (an important characteristic for survival). It is anticipated that CRKT will use SK5 steel inferior to Esee steel. The warranty is another reason for me to choose Esee over other companies. For those who prefer the size of the CRKT, the Esee 6 is the better choice.

Does the handle have a thick or thin coating?

My knife is one of the most well built knives I have ever had and measures about 3/4 inches wide.

How is the sheath made? Does it consist of ?

Plastic that has been molded

The knife has great quality, and works well as a utility and pocket knife
5/5

I read tons of reviews of the various ESEE models, and was torn between the 5 and 6 for quite some time both look great and have tons of reviews to back them up. Despite this, however. After assessing what I truly wanted, I picked out a sturdy, quality camp knife that would be useful to me while also being easy to carry around. That means I don't need a hefty pry bar or a miniature sword like what came with the 6. The five bar is similar to the six bar. As such, I decided to go down a size and go for a In summary, it has a decently sized blade for taking on almost anything you'd want to handle with it, great micarta handles, a competently designed choil for fine detail work, and a superior Although the handle is small and feels a bit awkward at first, it becomes more comfortable as you use it more, as you realize that you have enough room to do the job without adding There's not much to complain about in the sheath Providing a sturdy belt clip that fits tightly and can be removed if necessary, this belt clip is made from molded plastic. A good knife belt holds the knife well, rides close to the body on the belt and doesn't rattle. A paracord is included for securing a pack to the belt. I wish the sheath were leather, so I'll definitely replace it, but I'll see how it goes. Overall I am impressed - overall I am very satisfied. In a high quality package, this knife strikes the right balance between size and utility. According to a popular phrase, "the best knife is the one you have with you. ". In the long run, I suspect that this knife loses several sales to the larger ESEE5 and ESEE6 models by virtue of their larger size and style, but I suspect that the ESEE4 users will actually be very satisfied with the knife.

This is a great bushcraft knife
5/5

If you're heading out for a little wilderness adventure, the 4" knife is the perfect tool for work around the camp. It's a bit small for some wilderness crafts, but it's perfect for jobs The knife is sturdy, portable, heavy duty, and seems to be able to hold an edge that looks very sharp. There is also enough texture on the handle to allow for a If you intend to keep your hand from sliding down to the sharp edge of the knife, add a lanyard to keep it from slipping. The knife holds a very sharp blade and can be quite The knife is of good quality and can be used for various tasks in the field. This knife surely fits the description of a perfect bush craft knife. I have been searching for the perfect bush craft knife, but this one has the edge. It seems like I am going to buy the 5 as well because I like this knife so much. In general, this is an excellent knife. If you are looking for a tool to use around camp and for most household chores, this one is great. Perhaps a 5" knife would be better suited to you if you are looking for a knife to use during camp building, survival, and other activities. It doesn't matter how I look at it, Esee has won me over. Knife of excellent quality.

This is excellent
4/5

It is part of ESEE. Plain edge on 4 of the edges. This knife was purchased as an emergency survival knife for my wife. It appears to be large and strong enough that it can handle most camp tasks or survival knife functions well. The only reason I gave it four rather than five stars was the sheath and the way it hung. The sheath is of good quality, but hangs high, as is the knife. As it is, it hangs more towards the hip/waist, and I would prefer it to hang toward the It might be possible to overcome this problem by using only 2 screws instead of all 4. It might be possible to extend the lower hang by a few inches. I, however, prefer the full amount of four screws because they are much stronger.

It's worth the money to buy Esee 4
5/5

One thing I noticed at first was the knife was stiff in the plastic sheath. I was careful not to cut my fingers when trying to remove the knife from the sheath. However, it loosened up the more I removed and reinserted the knife into the sheath. I like how it arrived in a neat box with two Randall's Adventures cards that have survival tips on them as well as two I am impressed with the quality of the knife. It is exceptionally sharp and assembled with great Three and a half inches is about how big my hand is. The handle measures 5 inches across and is thick enough for my fingers, but I'd like to see it a little longer. The grip is adequate, but I would prefer it to be thicker. These new aftermarket G10 handles are supposed to be more ergonomic and fit the hand more naturally. Although the knife itself would be perfectly functional to me as is, I feel that they would be an improvement over what it has now.

This is the best fixed blade knife you've ever used
5/5

I have handled many fixed blade knives and I think the ESEE Knives 4P Fixed Blade Knife w/Handle and Molded Polymer Sheath is the best. It is immediately apparent that quality and craftsmanship have gone into this handle as soon as you grasp it. There is nothing like it in terms of strength and comfort. There's initially a bit of a weight to it, but that's due to its solid construction. It might even be able to cut down a tree if need be. This is an incredibly sharp camera. When I went to cut some para cord, it seemed as if I did not even have to touch the blade to the cord to make it complete. As for the sheath, it is just as good in quality as the knife. It is quite difficult to remove the knife by accident, so there is no worry of losing it. There is some noise made when pulling the knife out of the sheath or inserting it in. It's an excellent knife and you'll love it. I highly recommend it.

This knife is excellent for any purpose
4/5

The majority of jobs are performed by this person. Good thickness and edge on this heavy duty board. As well, it has an excellent grip. At first it was hard for me to trust the included sheath because it isn't kydex, but after a lot of use, I can honestly say it works well. This plastic is more rigid than kydex, and it hasn't loosened up at all in any way. The clip is also very good. I can only say there is one knock on this arrangement, a situational knock, but one which is quite common. The blade will not work with a ferro rod straight out of the box if you intend to use it with a ferro rod. It is protected by a coating along the back edge, which will ensure no sparks are emitted. As a quick fix, I used a sanding block to knock off the coating on the back of the blade where it had jimped up, and then used a dremel to refine the edge. As a result, it digs into the soil and throws sparks without a hitch. This knife is great. I strongly recommend it.
