Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the D850, or is there anything else I need to get it to work?

My camera is a D750. I use it with a D800E and a The cable used by the 800 series cameras is different from the cable used by the D750. Therefore it should be compatible with the D850, just make sure to order the correct cable when you order.

Do the straps need to be mounted, or does the hot shoe have to be mounted?

This is because the GMAX compass function should be aligned with the lens, so the camera's hotshoe is the logical mounting location. To use an extra flash light, you will have to fix GMAX in a manner that is personal to you. We thank you for your kind consideration. We are the Daohinus team

The cable service is included in this too Is it included in GD, or is it ?

Thank you very much, and if you are booking Solmeta GMAX please include The cable is named "Cable-GD", and it is included in the package GD is already included in the package, so there is no need to purchase it We thank you on behalf of the Delphinus team

There is no better solution for a remote release that I'm aware of, therefore I cannot give it 5 stars
4/5

I like it a lot. There is no better solution for a remote release that I'm aware of, therefore I cannot give it 5 stars. Being bulky, the phone can't be used as a remote and being so tiny would have been useless. Essentially, what they need to do is set up the previous GPS unit the same way that they set up the wireless remote shutter release that came with the unit. The process went smoothly. In comparison to the previous unit, it had troubles connecting the cable to the unit which always kept coming off which is why I returned two of them but this unit is so much better designed not only does it have a threaded connection to secure the cable to both the camera and the unit. It is not quite the same as the GPS unit, but it has a locking device that secures it securely to the camera's I will be completely satisfied once you develop a small wireless remote release for this unit that has a minimum range of 75 feet.

The acquisition process is fast
4/5

In most areas, this unit is able to obtain signal quickly however, it can take a little longer for locations such as canyons and dense forest. Images are tagged with coordinates with no post processing required whatsoever. If sufficient satellite input can be obtained over a longer period of time, accuracy appears to be less than one meter in open areas and less than three meters in heavily forested areas and mountain canyons. The additional wireless remote works well and it is quite basic and does just what it is supposed to do. But in reality, it usually takes about the same amount of time as to set up my tripod.

With Solmeta GMAX, you get the best GPS available! In the company's history, the company has never produced a better GPS device than the Solmeta GMAX
5/5

There are a number of new features and improvements in the unit It's great that it locks on to the hot shoe of the camera, and it's awesome how the 10-inch size is The pin cable threads onto both the camera and the unit and cannot come loose, and I especially love the remote app for my iPhone that can now be used to release the shutter remotely. Due to the fact that I always have my iPhone on me, I don't need to carry another remote. I think this is a great I like the screen size on the GMAX, though it is a bit bigger than the GMAX. I am much more comfortable reading it. Solmeta or any other manufacturer make a fantastic GPS unit, and this one is easily the best.

It works well and is well made
5/5

Boxes were well-packaged and the item was shipped quickly. My laptop was ready for use straight away and worked the way it was supposed to. This accessory provides better value than that of the original Nikon.

It is somewhat expensive, but if you want all the features & functions, then this is the device for you
4/5

& & is a brand new product, and there hasn't been a chance for me to use it yet There haven't been any reported abuses of this. After I get a chance to review my rating, I'm confident that I will revise it upward. As a summary, we can say The pro's are This is why•  I have found it to be extremely reliable. I believe this is Certainly possesses an array of quality features, many unique to the product. A battery built into the camera allows for much more accurate field tagging, especially if you often take pictures without warning. The following cons This is why•  That's a lot of weight. This is why•  This is a very expensive product. This application does not support all the positioning systems that competitors offer.

In The first thing to note about it is that it's very big. I did not expect it to be as big as it is. Although the product photos portrayed various sizes of the item quite accurately, they did not convey their full size to me nearly as well. There is no comparison between the volume of it and that of my phone. The volume would probably be twice or three times higher. We're dealing with a huge deal. I've never seen anything like it before. It's not heavy, but it's not light either. As long as you've used speedlights (or similar) in the hotshoe before, this should be no problem. However, if you've never used this before, you'll notice it in regular use for a while. This is certainly slower than a typical smartphone, which has the benefit of wifi and Bluetooth Assistance in a number of other ways It's not unusually slow, but it's not fast either. In most cases, the usual waiting period is between sixty and one hundred seconds. While I haven't extensively tested it, I haven't experienced any degree of GPS accuracy issues. It is infinitely better than Nikon's SnapBridge tagging system, which is flawed and misreports your location as miles and miles from where you actually are. There is an issue with the headings, though, because they are a little squirrelly. The compasses do not tend to be very accurate out of the box, as with pretty much all electronic devices. The calibration process is relatively simple, but you do have to have a more accurate compass (or some other kind of accurate means for determining true north) before you begin. My real check has not been done yet No results for the world yet, but in some industries I found it frequently reported the wrong heading during my testing at home. Certainly, the electronic compass on a smartphone is not any worse than the one on a typical one, so it all depends on what you require. You can make it do a lot of things, and many of those things are truly optional, so you need to worry about them only if you need to (or if you just want to). As I expected, the user interface is not as awkward as I thought. Of course, it is a bit limited, with just a few buttons, and that familiar "old fashioned" LCD display, but once you become comfortable with it, it actually works quite nicely. In addition, it is convenient to have the display always visible The Cotton Carrier chest harness has been a great addition for my camera, as I can glance down at my holstered camera to see the current time, my GPS coordinates, and my heading when I need to. What I choose to have displayed there is up to me. It's actually well suited to use for navigating by GPS when you're actually out and about. My understanding is that it has off-road capabilities, which I have not yet explored The GPS logging capability, nor the camera's capabilities (other than to check that it worked once, to verify You are taking a recording). For me, it's a nice to have, but I usually record my travels with my phone anyway. At some point, however, it will be interesting to compare them, as well as their accuracy and reliability. I like the fact that it is already equipped with a built-in battery, which gives me peace of mind since I can simply set it to always be on. I always get precise GPS marks in my photos since I always have the GPS turned on. A more practical alternative, and this is your only choice for any GPS dongle without an independent power source, would be to have the GPS re-trial rapidly when your camera begins measuring (e. g. The half-way mark It is the act of pressing a Having to constantly re-acquire and update position on a GPS device is impossible if you're doing wildlife photography, which I usually do. So it might take you only two seconds to go from holstered to snapping away. In this way I fully expect it to happen, as it always does Those situations in particular benefit from the on mode, as they are dramatically more accurate. Nevertheless, I don't have enough experience to pass judgement on it at this point. Last but not least, there is the price. While not as expensive as Nikon's official GPS dongles, it is still not the cheapest device available. Nikon's official ones are insanely expensive and overpriced for what they do - therefore nobody should ever buy them. In terms of ability, though, this one is far superior to it, but with the drawbacks mentioned above A weight difference & a body fat difference So it may not be the best choice for you if all you want is a cheap version of Nikon's, but there are several other manufacturers that make much smaller ones that provide all the same functionality, at a lower.
