The Slam Dunk was planted in sandy souls and the results have been really good. Sandy soils tend to have low pH so I usually add lime to raise the pH and I always try to plant just prior to a rain to take advantage of the moisture during planting. This is a fantastic Fall Hunt Plot that is high in protein and energy for late season eating.

Testing your soil is a great way to do your homework. Any seed will grow if lime and fertilizer are added as needed. For years, I have used this in the south eastern part of Pennsylvania. As far as I can tell, it is working. There is nothing better than brassicas for deer. During daylight hours, will it pull a mature big buck into a plot? Probably It will get them more interested in your area, so they will spend more time there. You will find fawns and does staying close to the area.
My plant grew beautifully after the soil was only lightly prepared and no fertilizer applied at the end of August. In Tennessee, I cannot wait until the first frost so I can see if the deer eat them.
It is good for virtually any seed bed preparation that requires soil ph between 6 and 7. It has germinated five days later and grew into a 1-inch tall plant in four days.
It would have been nice to pick up the mega food plot starter pack, but you got the Slam Dunk instead. There is nothing wrong with the deal, it's still a good deal, but the photo is totally incorrect, so I rate it.
Each and every Antler King product I've used over the years has proved to be a great success for me. As it states on the bag, it is an ALL FALL plot and I could not think of any better description. This plot of land was home to deer every day from September to The tree is easy to establish and grows rapidly. It makes a great hunting plot.
Growing on this plot has been very easy and it has done By planting peas and buckwheat, it gives the deer an early fall food source, and by planting radishes and rape, it gives the deer a late season food source, too. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to keep deer on their property!.
I was happy with the results, it took a lot of fertilizer and watering to get it to the height I wanted (3ft), but it is working well, and I am satisfied overall.
