I tried the red side on my car's plastic, but it didn't work. So perhaps try the other side, which is what I did.
I used screws to secure mine so that when a tool is removed from the magnet, it does not pull away from the mounting.
Yes, the surface is flexible; however, it is recommended that it be installed on a flat surface.
It was a gift, so I'm not sure.

And because I am convinced that at least some of the reviews are compensated praise, I tend to pay more attention to the negative reviews when deciding on a product. br>These magnets had no negative reviews, and I saw why when they arrived. Well-packaged, flawless in appearance, and with all of the necessary installation materials. But it's the magnets' strength that's the real show-stopper. If you're worried it won't be able to hold your gun, think again. Put it out of your mind! With these, the word "strong" is a misnomer. To be honest, I've never fired a pistol with a round top. My Glock, on the other hand, is a stickler for it. Remember, when every second counts, the cops are only a few minutes away.
The screws were something I didn't want to use. I despise the idea of having to do something like that with my car. So I purchased this based on the tape adhesion reviews I found. It's not going to work, I'm afraid. At all. Period. Whether the surface is smooth or textured makes no difference. It's just not going to work. However, after looking at the locations where I planned to put my holder, I realized that even if I later sold my car, they would be very inconspicuous and no one would notice unless it was pointed out. One of them was hidden beneath the dashboard of a car. It completely conceals my weapon, so you wouldn't notice it if you were standing outside my car. For that one, I've got a Dodge Charger. I also stuffed the other one into the Chevy Traverse's center console. It was placed on the console's front edge so the weapon could stand up. Even with the tray inside, it can be completely hidden. These mounts are fantastic! I didn't like the idea of the screw holes at first, but now that I've done them, I'm glad I did because I know they're secure. I deducted one star because of the reason for my purchase, but if that hadn't been the case, I would have given it a 5-star rating. stars!.
br>br>First and foremost, the magnet mount's back side is not magnetic! When you don't want things on the back side to stick to it, this is a great option. If you forget, you can always add a hard drive to the top. br>br>One of my favorite/best ideas is to fix a design flaw in my tool box-mounted bottle opener. br>br>Installed under the bottle opener, and no more cleaning or searching for bottle caps! br>br>When I get the old boat out of storage, it'll also get one of these bottle openers mounted under the bulkhead! Also, for those who are curious. br>br> Yes, you can keep a desert eagle under your desk! br>And it does a good job of holding it. 😎.
Rubber holster washers made of Kydex (3/8" high). These magnets are small and thin, which is both awesome and problematic, as you can see in the photos. When the gun is snapped onto the magnet, it is held flush against the thin but strong magnet, leaving no room for you to grab the grip. By using these rubber washers, the magnet is held away from whatever it is attached to, allowing for a simple, quick, and precise grip!.
I used a combination of adhesive tape and screws to secure these in place. They have a Beretta 92FS and a Ruger 1911 between their hands. With no problems at all, I was able to reach the age of 45 without difficulty. br>br>Excellent item.
Simply place an order for them. Extremely powerful. My husband's 44 can be stored in it. For a handgun, it might be a bit much. It's not a problem to keep the gun in your hand. More important is that you place the gun where you will have enough leverage to remove it from the magnet. The quality is excellent. This is the second set we've purchased, and we're on the verge of purchasing a third. We decided to put them in several locations around the house and two in each vehicle because they are so simple to install. There's no way you can go wrong with these.
Tape can be strengthened by using screws. This is the third magnet I've purchased for the side of my nightstand; the first one wasn't strong enough, so I ordered another, but the rubber or plastic coating came off, and I didn't want to scratch my pistol. The second one I installed created a drawer that I couldn't close, but even with two magnets for one 9mm, it didn't feel like a secure connection. This new magnet appears to be well-coated, and it has a super-strong grip on my pistol. It was exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to finish up with the screws because I'm afraid it'll rip off the side of the nightstand when I remove the pistol. I have to slide the pistol off rather than pull it. One is for my car, while the other is for me. I'm content with my lot in life. When my shotgun arrives, I'll place an order for more. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product.
One of these is permanently attached to the outside of my safe, and I never take it off. It's a high-quality item that's also incredibly durable. It comes with a couple of different sizes of mounting screws, which is a nice touch.
