Questions & Answers

Will it be acceptable as carry-on luggage on low-cost carriers such as Ryanair or Easyjet?

Yes, absolutely! I'm currently using it for those airlines, and it's fantastic.

I'm a 5'10" man who weighs 140 pounds. Which size would be the best fit for a person with a 30 inch waist?

The most important measurement for Osprey pack sizing is the length of your torso. The distance between your C7 Vertebrae (the bone at the base of your neck that sticks out) and your Iliac Crest (the top of your hip bone) is this. To determine your torso length, measure the vertical distance between these two points. br>After that, the following is the sizing for this pack: br>Length of the Torso: 14"- 17" (35. 5 cm - 43 cm) - Torso Length: S/M Size: S/M Size: S/M Size: S/M Size: S/M Size: S/M Size: S/M Size 18"- 46cm x 19" 48 cm) - Torso length: S/M or M/Lbr>Size: S/M or M/Lbr>Size: S/M or M/Lbr>Size: S/M or M 20"- 22" (51 cm - 51 cm - 51 cm - 51 cm - 51 cm 56 cm) - Size: M/L

If I'm allowed to bring two things, I'll bring two things. Do you think I'll be able to get by with just two bags? They won't be stuffed to the brim. ?

The far point is too large for two people to carry. on bags. The size of the second backpack, purse, or computer bag must be less than 16 inches. 20 liters

Is a 17-inch laptop compatible with the laptop pocket? A laptop with a screen size of three inches?

It will fit in a 17-inch box. Although it is only a 3 inch laptop, it does protrude. With a heavy front, the weight distribution is also uneven. br>You could store it in the main bag pocket, which is close to the bag's frame.

This bag is well worth the money you'll spend on it. To begin, let me state that this is the ideal carry-on size for regional, business, and commercial flights. On a CRJ-200, I was able to easily fit this into the overhead compartment. 900, - The 700, EMB 145, 777LR, and A340-500 are some of the most popular planes in the world. 600 br>br>I traveled to Germany and Poland for a week and checked a bag because it was a business trip, so I packed this bag with the following items and still had room to spare. This bag was ideal for converting from a travel backpack to an office satchel in a matter of seconds. It had the capacity to hold large water bottles. The extra straps on the inside to tighten down and on the outside to reduce the bag's profile made it easier to do so. If you watch the youtube videos on this, you'll notice it's exactly what they say it is. The manner in which you organize it will determine your success. As a result, there aren't many pockets or other storage options. A zipper mesh pocket and a tablet/laptop sleeve are located on the second picket. If you have a large pack, such as the one I've listed below, it's a good idea to have ziploc bags for each group of items. It aids in the organization of the information. br>br>Now it's time to move. On my way back home, I hit two hail Mary passes. And by runs, I mean full sprints while dodging babies and the elderly. Baggage and chairs are thrown around. I literally grabbed the shoulder straps, chest strap, and waist strap in both Munich and Chicago and tightened them. And I didn't have to worry about the bag falling off or interfering with my ability to run because it was a flawless run. br>br>1) GoPro Hero 4, case, and selfie stickbr>2) Portable chargerbr>3) Laptop 15 4) two pairs of jeans, a light pullover sweatshirt, two shirts, two pairs of socks, and two undergarmentsbr>5) all necessary travel documentsbr>6) Box of Belvita snacksbr>7) Ziploc bag of medicine/vitamins.

For light international travel, this is the bag to have
5/5

I saw this bag mentioned on a couple of travel blogs and decided to give it a try because it was on sale on Amazon with a free Prime return. br>br>Initial Impression: br>My first surprise was how small it was when it came out of the box, and because of the oblong shell shape, I wasn't sure how much it would actually fit. According to what I'd read, it's too small for the carry-on bag. travel restrictions for planes - even on international flights, where the size restrictions are even more restrictive - However, it appeared to be insufficiently large. The second surprise occurred during the test pack, when it continued to swallow everything I had planned to pack. I assumed I'd need compression bags to make this work, but they turned out to be unnecessary. The shape is odd, but once I figured out how to balance my bulky items (shoes, toiletry kit, etc. ), I ended up with more room than I needed. I decided to keep it after trying out all of the straps and carrying options. In Use: br>br> br>On a two-week trip to Italy, this bag fulfilled all of my expectations. It fit easily into the overhead compartments on all of my flights, as well as the tiny luggage racks above the seats on all of the trains. To balance the weight, the backpack straps and waistband were easily adjusted. When we were waiting in lines at airports and train stations, it was more comfortable to wear it rather than taking it off and setting it down. The straps quickly zipped into their compartments when we arrived at our gates and terminals, and the single shoulder strap clipped in even faster. The single shoulder strap isn't ideal for long periods of time, but it's ideal for boarding and disembarking, and it makes the bag easy to maneuver in tight spaces (I despise people who drag their backpacks or purses down the aisle). br>br>The compression straps are excellent at keeping everything in place while also adding a layer of security. The exterior straps are held in place by a second layer of ripstop fabric that encases all of the zippers, making them difficult to locate and access while strapped down tight. If you need to get into the bag quickly while on the go, this will take a few seconds and extra effort, but there is no way for someone to easily get into the bag while it is hidden behind your back. Because the zippers are paired, you can secure them with a small padlock if you prefer. br>br>Summary: br>br> br>When it came to designing this bag, Osprey nailed it. This bag is ideal for those who prefer to travel light and agilely. It won't quite match the convenience and accessibility of a rolling suitcase in an airport, but it'll get you close. Having everything off the ground was much easier 99% of the time for someone traveling to remote areas and old cities (verified after watching my friend pull his suitcase half mile uphill br>br>I paired my Farpoint 40 with a much smaller ripstop bag (for easy under-seat access on planes/trains and short excursions away from our airBnBs) and it worked out perfectly:.

It's ideal for two people
5/5

A five-week trip through Europe is planned. I bought three of these for a recent 17-day trip to Europe, two black and one red, all small/medium. My husband and I wore the black ones, while my fifteen-year-old daughter wore the red. They did an excellent job! We each brought four outfits, plus the ones we wore, for a total of five, as well as two pairs of shoes, toiletries (my daughter brought her full-size flat iron), hoodies/jackets, and raincoats. My daughter and I each had our own (Travelon) bag, but my husband's electronics (iTouch, 10" Kindle Fire) were stored in his backpack. In my laptop sleeve, I also have a full-size heavy-duty plastic zip-top file folder with all of our travel documents, tickets, and so on. We didn't do much shopping because it's not our thing, but my daughter did buy a pair of high tops in Paris and brought them home with no problems. br>br>We transitioned from cooler temperatures in Paris and Salzburg to warmer temperatures in Venice and Rome, necessitating a diverse wardrobe. I was able to fit the following items into my pack using Eagle Creek packing cubes: a pair of jeans, a medium-length skirt, two knee-length skirts, a pair of gym-weight capris, four tees, a pair of PJs, five pairs of underwear, one bra, two pairs of socks, a car coat length heavy hooded LL Bean raincoat, a pair of Toms, two toiletry bags (a TSA one and another), a small make-up bag, a bag with ten medication bottles, I had plenty of room in the bag, which weighed about 15 pounds when packed. On the way back, I had no trouble fitting in a small ceramic gift item, a t-shirt, and some other small items. shirt, and a shot glass in a box. I could have brought home a lot more if I had wanted to. My six-foot-tall husband stuffed his dopp kit TSA bag with a pair of jeans, three pairs of cargo shorts, PJ pants, four tees, underwear, undershirts, a raincoat, a pair of shoes, his dopp kit TSA bag, Kindle, iTouch, charging cords, plug adapter kit, and still had room to spare. His bag weighed 17 pounds when it was fully loaded. br>br>It was a breeze to convert these backpacks to duffles so that they could be taken on and off planes and trains. Unzip and roll down the back panel, securing with Velcro at the bottom and releasing the straps. Simply separate the Velcro, tuck the straps, and zip up the bag in reverse. We found the bags to be easy to carry with the handles or the messenger bag strap because the process is quick and simple. I also discovered that when I used the bag as a backpack, the messenger strap didn't get in the way, which was a plus because I didn't want to bother with unclipping and reclipping it. br>br>These were extremely comfortable for us. My obstinate fifteen-year-old complained about hers until she allowed her father to adjust her straps and persuade her to use her sternum strap and hip belt, after which she found it to be quite comfortable! But I'm not going to lie and say we didn't use them all the time. We carried them every four days or so from their apartments to Metro stations, trains, and back to their apartments. We also transported them from one location to another, including airports. It was plenty to get a sense of how they feel, but not so much to get a sense of how durable they are, though I expect them to last a long time. We flew Air Canada the entire way to and from Europe and had no trouble bringing these items with us. br>br>I have no reservations about recommending these packs. My husband would have chosen the next size up in retrospect. In terms of packing, he had no issues with the small/medium, but he thinks the larger pack would have felt better on his back. He's taken this pack on two other trips and has been pleased each time. br>br>For my twelve-year-old, we bought the Osprey Porter 30 with Daylite pack, which I'll review as well.
