Questions & Answers

Is the laptop sleeve 15" in size or can it fit a 15" laptop as well? a laptop with a screen of 6 inches?

The laptop sleeve has a total length of 16 inches. 5 h x 12 w x 5 h x 12 w x 5 h x 12 w The pocket is a fraction of an inch shorter than 16. 5", but a taller computer can fit in the pocket and be held in place by the elastic keeper.

Is this big enough to hold my 13-inch MacBook Pro, as well as some textbooks and note books, and maybe a hoodie?

It'll just about fit, but it'll be a tight squeeze. It would be better if you went up a size to the Deluxe. It's a great bag, but as I previously stated, the standard version has limited storage.

Is it possible to put a Note 9 in the phone slot?

After looking at the Galaxy Note 9's dimensions, we believe the phone's width is a little too large for a pocket. However, please return frequently as we will be releasing some backpacks with larger tech pockets for cell phones soon.

Is that a genuine Carhartt backpack?

I'm a designer, and I bought this for my coworkers for Christmas last year. Carhartt is the real deal. Very durable and has performed admirably on job sites. It was a big hit with my guys.

The fact that this backpack is so open-minded is one of my favorite things about it
5/5

The fact that this backpack is open-minded is one of my favorite features of it. I appreciate how it doesn't judge me when I wax lyrical about politics or why I believe Gelato is the most underappreciated dessert contender.

I had high hopes for this
3/5

The bag felt very small and flimsy, which is ironic because I bought a Carhart backpack to make sure it wasn't just that. Also, the main pocket does not open all the way to the bottom. Overall, I had hoped for better quality for the price, but I feel like I just paid for the carhartt tag.

Very let down
3/5

I usually like Carhartt products, but the bottom of this backpack isn't as tough as it claims to be. I wish I had the option of returning it for a different item. Every corner is beginning to rip or show signs of wear. The backpack has only been in use for 5 months, but it has been well-used. I haven't attempted anything unusual, such as camping or hiking.

It was about a year long
3/5

I purchased this to use for work in a gravel pit, so it must be tough. I've always liked Carhartt clothing, so I decided to give their backpack a shot. It's made of the same material, which is nice; however, it wouldn't be as flexible as the current one if it didn't have the same sturdy zipper. When you put it down, the bottom is made of a more durable leather-like material. The large mesh pockets on the bag's side are particularly appealing to me. They are frequently undersized. Instead of the tablet sleeve, two separate main cargo areas might have been preferable. However, it's a good, basic backpack. There are also other models that can be upgraded. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The fake leather on the bottom is starting to show signs of wear. In light of the price, this is disappointing. br>br>Update: The front zipper broke after a little more than a year.

For my purposes, this is a fantastic bag
5/5

Before you buy, read the reviews to see if it's right for you. Update from two years ago: br>The bag is still my favorite. It's now the laptop, accessories, tablet, and Kindle's official tech bag. When I have free time, I keep it in my car. br>br>Original source: br>I chose this bag over the smaller version after reading the reviews, and I'm glad I did! Bag appears to be in good condition, the materials appear to be of good quality, the stitching appears to be durable, and it is a great little bag in general. br>br>I was in the process of replacing my mil-spec computer. I wanted something a little smaller than the tech brand assault pack, which looks like any other basic military assault pack. I bought this bag to carry my laptop and other essentials to work, and it's perfect for the job. My Dell XPS 13 fit perfectly in the laptop sleeve, and I'm sure a standard 15-inch laptop will fit as well, albeit a little snugly. Aside from that, I keep a phone, USB cables, a laptop power supply, a large Logitech mouse, Beats Bluetooth headphones, a med kit, and other miscellaneous items in my bag. If necessary, I could also carry a change of clothes or a jacket. Unless I had a second backpack or duffel, I wouldn't bring this on a trip. Because of its size, my assault pack was ideal for that purpose, but I didn't want to carry a bag that large to and from work or the coffee shop. This isn't a pack for a day hike, either. I hike with my Osprey day pack, which is far more suitable for climbing than this bag. Walking around town may be fine, but I already know the bag will hurt my back on a longer hike (such as a day hike up Mt. Monadnock or something like that). br>br>Things I like:br>The bag looks nicebr>The construction quality appears appropriatebr>Generally minimalist designbr>Curved shoulder straps are comfortablebr>Rubber bottom is a nice optionbr>The bag stands on its own, much better than flopping overbr>br>Constructive Criticism: br>I agree with one of the reviews I read; two zipper pulls on the front pockets would be far more useful. If you open the top small pocket without being aware of what you're doing, things will fall out. It's not a deal breaker, but it's something to think about for future design. br>br>Cell phone pocket could be a little bigger; it's a tight fit for my Galaxy S5 with spigen case. br>br>Side pockets can hold a standard 100ml Nalgene bottle. It's a close fit once more. br>br>Carry handle could be a little longer; it's a little difficult to grasp with my large hands. br>br>Bottom Line:br>Excellent bag for the purpose I needed it for. This is not the bag to buy if you want to fly, go on road trips, or hike a trail. This is a great coffee shop bag if you only need a small laptop and a few accessories.

The best diaper bag ever created
5/5

After three children and countless bags of various brands, I consider myself a diaper bag expert. From storksak and petunia pickle bottom to cheap Walmart sets, there's something for everyone. We've probably tried them all, but this one has to be my favorite because the laptop pocket fits the changing pad perfectly. Wipes and my wallet fit nicely in the smaller pocket in front of that. Extra clothes, a steel snack container, and my wet bag with cloth diapers and covers are all stored in the large area. The front pocket is ideal for storing baby necessities such as a thermometer, Band-Aids, and a few months' worth of necessities. My Altoids mini essential oil tin and extra punch cards fit perfectly in the upper pocket. For my water bottle and the baby's, the side pockets are ideal. I also use the loops on the front straps to hang my car keys for easy access. Overall, I'm a big fan of this. Because the bottom is vinyl, I don't have to worry about it getting dirty. It gives the impression of being long-lasting.

The solution to a NON-EXISTENTIAL QUESTION EDC backpack with a tactical twist
5/5

As you'd expect from Carhartt, this bag is solid and bombproof. The size is similar to that of a school backpack. Unless I'm mistaken, it's the same material as the jackets, with a tighter weave, and the bottom rubber material is nice and clean. It was more relaxing than I had anticipated. This isn't a backpack for going on a hike. You don't need all of the straps, so don't be discouraged. It's more of an edc man bag (but it works great as a short day pack). br>br>By a long shot, this is far superior to any $50 tactical bag. If you've ever had one, you're aware of how quickly they degrade. br>br>I've been looking for a new edc bag that isn't tactical in any way, but still has two front pouches and organization, if not the look. It's all over now. The overall design is the same, with the exception that it is made for civilian use and does not include molle webbing. The TWO laptop sleeves are padded and well-designed, and they can be used for a variety of other purposes. Straps are supportive and comfortable in all the right places, with a solid structure. I highly recommend this bag; if it were stolen, God forbid, I would purchase it again. The water bottle holders are a lot bigger and deeper than I expected, definitely nalgene-sized. Now that you've heard enough good things about the bag, go ahead and purchase it. The gray is a badass color.
