My only complaint is that it does not have a way to hook to a belt. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A paracord lanyard can be attached to both the knife and the sheath. I made a simple loop through the handle of the knife with the paracord. I attached the other end of the paracord to my belt loop and slipped My camp bag is around my neck when I am there. To make the paracord easier to wear and take off, I attached a metal clip. An optional loop of lanyard can be installed on the case so that it snaps firmly on to the knife.

Does it work well as a baton?

Can you begin with the scandi grind and proceed to sharpen the two grinds separately or do you have to fine-tune them separately?

Even though the front half of the blade has the same scandi grind, it looks different on the back half. A small peice of carbide and a diamond rod are all I use to sharpen mine. The knife is very good.

Make sure you know what you need before you buy
5/5

Several days ago, I watched a great YouTube video by Tengan65, where he explained ten things that this knife can do and two that Should you be on the fence about making the purchase, I urge you to watch the video first. He lists 10 reasons to own this knife, as well as my own opinions after using it for quite a while. #1 Great for making feather sticks and highly The same applies to #2, which is very useful for scraping. The #3 is excellent for sparking a ferro rod. You are really good at it! I am pretty good at cutting rope and cordage. This cut and slice tool is #5. In addition to #6, it is also excellent for opening boxes and cutting cardboard. #7, it is good to prepare food such as carrots, onions, etc. #8, it is extremely useful for notching The #9 blade is excellent for carving and whittling. The #10 is suitable for holes in soft wood or drilling into There are certain things it is not good for. #1 Chopping anything* #2 Batoning (Unless you're before proceeding. In my opinion, this is an excellent little weapon, and as the price has gone down drastically, I see it as an excellent knife to carry around as a secondary in the woods, or as a primary for everyday use. Update 3/21/18 I have to admit that this little knife is relegated to a domestic use, such as opening packages at home. My personal experience with it is that I don't use it and think that most any other option from Mora would be a better option. We can all enjoy the benefits of a Mora 511, and it is even cheaper. Regardless of the fact that I still stand by my review, I just don't require.

This is a perfect knife for hiking! In addition, As an amateur knife enthusiast, my review does not reflect the expertise of a knife expert, but rather a knife amateur explaining why a knife like this is appropriate am on the lookout for a knife like this one since it has many characteristics that make it an awesome backpacking knife
5/5

I consider the knife to be one of my favorite knives because it has a lot of capabilities. My favorite part of the short blade is how it can be easily used, and it allows me to work precisely. The number of rubbery grips, the size of the handle, and the palm swells make it incredibly comfortable to use. The handle is one of the things I like about it, since I can get my hand right up to the blade, which allows for more delicate work. Other people have complained about the spine being 90 degrees and My experience has been that I have been able to do push cuts without issue on bare skin when using it. This knife features a 90-degree spine that enables you to strike a ferro rod with it, thus enabling it to be used as part of a fire blanket. It is a good knife and its function has been satisfactory to me. This backpack is perfect for me to take on a backpacking trip.

The best utility blade you will ever own
5/5

In summary, if you're looking for a small, all-purpose knife that will inspire confidence while you hold it, this is the knife for you. There is no doubt in the grip. There is no doubt that the blade is durable. It is ground so a fire steel will work well with it. It is a great knife for the price. You can also see the way I converted it into a neck knife with some reflective tent cordage and a split ring. I prefer this to the Mora mechanism, so I hope that a future redesign would eliminate the.

However, there is no real purpose behind the quality
3/5

It is my pleasure to be a fan of Mora. Having issues justifying the regular price of this Mora compared to the other Moras, I picked up this one while it was on sale. What makes it cost twice as much is a mystery to me. Whenever I use this knife, the quality is excellent, as it is with all Moras knives. Yet I do not perceive the design as making much sense. Blades of this size are too short to be used for general purposes. However, is it too From the blade to the spine) of a blade for very fine use, so I'm really not sure what the point is. In a way, it could be used similar to a regular utility razor blade knife. however, I'm not sure why you would use it for that since the retractable utility knife is actually a good tool for what it's In my opinion, the knife had the potential to be (short, sturdy, razor sharp), but for the price, it is not really worth the money. Utility knives are cheaper and do not need to be sharpened, so they are a good choice. For only a few cents each, you can easily change or replace the A nutshell of the situation. It seems to be of excellent quality, though I wasn't quite sure what it is You may need a really solid but deep knife if you need one that's really sturdy. This is a good thing. I suggest you get either the companion or the Robust Craftline! and you will be pleased with your purchase.

Very nice Firecraft Knife
5/5

I've been looking forward to seeing it in the U. S. I feel like it's been so long since we've seen this Mora knife. It came without the leather snap on the red model. It's just a little too expensive for what it is to add the leather option, even though I would like to. Although the sheath has a bit of snap when the knife is fully engaged, it is still very plastic. In other words, there is retention, and you can use it as a neck knife. However, the retention is not high enough for me to trust it for serious hiking/fishing adventures. You could make your own leather or rubber snap. The handle is made of hard plastic, as well as a type of soft rubber I am able to reach all four fingers with ease and comfortably fill my palm without slipping or causing In addition to providing a hole for a lanyard, the handle is an all-around winner for me. I normally dislike lanyards, but this is a great addition to this small knife. The Eldris has a specific purpose, and that is to serve as a fire weapon. This knife has an edge that has the sharpness of an ice skate, and a spine that lends itself well to shaving wood, striking ferro rods, and making shavings from feather sticks. Sparks are thrown like a champ from this machine. Feather sticks are made like a boss with this machine. To preserve your cutting edge, you can shave wood off of a stick using the spine and to hone magnesium off of a block using the spine. I added it to my fire kit, so that will be where it will live. While it could be used as a pocket knife, it is a bit fat for my taste. When I carry a fixed blade, I prefer it to be slender so as not to attract My recommendation is to buy this knife, as it is a very small knife that handles like a large knife. I have one main complaint and that When the time comes for a resharpening, it should prove interesting. I am trying to keep it sharpened on a strop to avoid this.
