Questions & Answers

Does it get made in the United States?

It is not listed on either the call or package as to the place of manufacture? There is only a "M" label on the package. The Lynch Company. INVESTMENT INDUSTRIES, INC. According to my information, that could mean China? The company is called Lynch Worldwide, so it could mean anything? Lynch was originally owned by a wealthy Texan who sold the company My only complaint is that this 65th Anniversary Long Beard call that I just bought does not meet my expectations. In every lynch call, the box SHOULD be made of mahogony and the lid from straight grain walnut. There is no wood other than mahogony in this call. Perhaps walnuts are so expensive because they are so rare. At MidwayUSA, I see this call listed. A company that exists purely online For $34, models 150 and 150 long beards are available. There is a description on the box that says mahogony - $99. The container you will receive has a walnut lid, but I suggest calling first to make sure. If you'd like the best option, I recommend getting the World Champion Model 102F (with walnut lid and mahogony box). Calls that cost $22 are listed on Middleway. A STEAL at $99. In fact, the 102F is the original Lynch (the 99 in the line! ), upon which he built the business.

Is this still in need of tuning?

In order to make a box call, you need to frequently apply your non-blindness The best chalk to keep it sounding good is nontoxic and dustless. A tuning such as that would be yours. My favorite box is the Strut chalk box. In order to say frequent I listen for changes in the box's sound and apply chalk upon hearing them. There is very little doubt that these calls are effective. About half of the birds I've taken with a box call have come from spring gobblers.

Does it get made in the United States?

It used to be made in Birmingham, Alabama, but now it's made in Thomasville,

Do we need to chalk up this call?

In a word, YES. It's probably better without chalk if that's what you prefer, come with no chalk is a very good call (better than many) I have an old one that is around 35 years old and this new one is just as

You made a great My friend purchased the call as a present for himself and really enjoys using it
5/5

He's new to turkey hunting and really likes the call. A box call of theirs about thirty years old is in my possession. The box calls I have for it have been good, even though I have about a dozen other boxes.

You've made a great point
5/5

You've made a great point. It would be a good idea to buy a chalk stick. A damp morning will affect the sound, but if the chalk is heavily applied, you'll be able to hear the music. If not in use in your blind, you should keep it between the lid and the box in a folded plastic baggie. The box call will make a sound at the worst possible time if it is accidentally moved. On the other hand, having the ability to gobble and cluck (with high quality sound) in a box call is awesome.

You can yell easily with this one
4/5

A loud sound. You need some extra chalk to use this, but it's easy to use. In no way is it easy to store and keep quiet in a turkey best. I like the sounds though. It's especially the yelps that bother me. This is a clear and loud voice.

It looks better to me when they have a long beard and two world champions, the newest
5/5

They are more sanded, shiny and pretty. There are two world champions I have one is foolproof , it has a long beard, one is shiny and pretty the other is my 1958 model that sounds not as good as the new one the world champion makes the most fantastic noises when you shake it from the bottom.

I really like to hear about turkeys
5/5

This animal is great at making clucks and yells. As well as the gobble side, it works well. recommend a new coat of chalk to be applied to the underside of the lid, as it comes with a pretty sparse coating from the manufacturer.

There is a distinct difference between the original and this version
3/5

The original has been my favorite for many years and I have purchased several. This is not the original, but it is a great alternative.

Definitely worth the price - buy it! Adding the call to the service is a great move
5/5

A simple but realistic sound effect that is easy to use. We used it to call in a flock of turkeys. I called for the "gobble" sound and it worked better than I expected. Instead of me being cut off every time, the gobbler cut me off every time. As long as this brand is available and I can buy it, I will use it.
