Questions & Answers

What does it sound like? Does it ?

There is a wooded area in the backyard where my son and I tried it out. He got a response from an owl in the late afternoon as the sun began to set from deep in the woods after a few calls! I couldn't believe my luck! It was an ecstatic feeling for him. The sound really does sound like an owl, and it must have fooled a real owl into responding.

Its signature trail off at the end of the call allows it to imitate that of the barred owl? When I used to call them in, I was good at it, but now I crack when I do it. ?

This is what I think would happen. I have a lot of fun with it.

A red tail hawk is killing birds in my yard. I was told moving a great horned owl into the area would scare it away. Would this really scare it away?

There are also Red tails near us, and I love seeing I am saddened to see them catch other birds for food, but that is the way nature works. As much as you want to scare the owls away, it is more likely to call them to a certain area. We had a great time.

What would this sound like inside, and would it be too noisy for a kid's party?

There's no problem at first, but after about 10 minutes, it becomes a bit annoying. Additionally, it is determined by how much air you charge it with.

It's a hooter for a soda can
3/5

There's no way to use them. There are a handful of turkey locator calls that are so weak that they can't fulfill their sole mission of sending turkeys gobbling. The Hooter belongs to this group. It is impossible for them to produce significant volumes. The pitch drops are too much for them. Although they can completely sabotage a perfectly good plot if they so choose The "all" note fails on the tonal decrescendo when it comes to a cook. The number of soda can hooters I have tried over the years has reached into the thousands. Each of them shares these precise issues. So I gave The Hooter an extra shake, just to be sure that I acted in good faith and gave it a fair shake as an individual call, and lo! It delivered what I predicted. In the end, it was too quiet to be of any shock value, making it absolutely useless I found the sound to be realistic, but it was simply muffled, and the tone drops were too tinny to be useful even with the appropriate I found it to be quite a I have to wonder how something made of thin cheap plastic could be so jealous of space-if it is so thin? found a way, and if you aim to keep it in your pocket, you're not going to be able to fit anything else in there. It swings around like a wrecking ball when you sneak through the turkey woods if you attach it to a lanyard. The thing is just plain unwieldy, no matter how you slice it. In fact, any soda can hooter could be called a It is striking to see how structurally different the Hooter is from similar products, such as the Hoot Flute of The strong points and weaknesses of all soda can hooters are the same, though I have already mentioned this repeatedly. Go for Primos' Hoot Flute if you want a shorter but fatter one. This is the best choice if you like it (slightly) slimmer, but (slightly) taller. The result is the same you're flushing your money down the toilet. Having had time and experience, I'm becoming more cautious about soda can hooters, which I previously held as a negative. When I see one with a reasonable level of volume for a locator call, I might change my opinion on whether the soda can hooter is a good locator call. Yet it won't be sufficient to change my opinion of The Hooter in general. Make sure you know what you're buying! The one I got I junked as I had no idea what you could do with it other than throw it away.

You know what you're getting
5/5

What a cool concept. This is the first I've gotten. One was a Primas Power Owl and the other was a Primas Wonder Owl. I thought it sounded like a duck call and it was quite good Despite the fact that it doesn't have any toes, my hooter works fine. Got out the book, blew, and then there it was an owl. Didn't read the back, just grabbed it out and blew. There are 3 pitches, all of which are Discover patterns of turkey calling in owls and search for them online. Like deer calling, you need to learn how to do that. They have 2 calls out there, I know, but they have 2 calls out there On the picture, only the blow is shown but there are 3 holes in the end. The duck call on my duck only has one hole. In fact, I am very happy that I didn't waste my money on another useless purchase. It is simple enough for my 3 year old grandchild to figure out. It will be my intention to purchase again if I lose or brake. My sinus infection has been going on for a week now. I walked outside this morning and heard an owl about half a mile away. I am gone. Was just going to take a stab at it. I got a hooter and asked three people if they cook for you and no one answered. Then I waited for 3 minutes until I got a who cooks for you all. That was a different hoot than the one I got After 5 minutes of back and forth, we parted ways. I stopped and he should have been heard by you. All you have to do is blow on it for it to work. Finding the patterns on the Internet is the only way to do it. In the same way, I called my box. It was lucky that I was able to hear a chirp as well as a mouth call. A series of online videos brought me closer to my goal. Despite being my first time turkey hunting, I am so excited to be sharing this experience with my friend who will make sure I get back. The fact that I get to attend this event as a retired and old person.

Owls are working on it! Upon purchasing this locator call, I decided it would be best used While they are roosted near the birdfeeder, I have not been able to get any response from the turkeys
5/5

Yet, it does an amazing job of attracting the owls. During my unintentional summoning of four owls, I made a mistake. It was as if they had landed on the trees just above me and would not.

The product is great! I have used it several times already and I have been pleased
5/5

I have used it several times and it covers a few different tone ports so that I can choose which sounds to play. We saw a few barred owls come pretty close to us on a few occasions, usually later in the evening. I have no way to see them due to the low light at night, but I certainly heard them calling out a variety of cadences, including "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all". Having that experience with my two daughters was a real treat for us. Hopefully this will be the first of many visits. As soon as I receive the rechargeable spotlight I purchased, I will have a chance to spot one. 'This is an excellent product at an exceptionally great price. I recommend it wholeheartedly. '.

The film "Owl Sounds" tells the story of an owl
5/5

An excellent call from an owl. I laughed so hard. To not disturb the rest of the house the night I received the call, I went out in the garage to see if it worked. On the following evening, my son is sitting in the living room with the family and says, "I kept hearing owl sounds late last night. " It seems harmless, but I heard them. It was an anonymous call (no one knew I had ordered it). Laughing was the first thing that came to my mind. I was able to hear the call clearly with a I am eagerly awaiting our turkey hunt so we can put it to the test!.

I am in awe of you! Occasionally I heard an owl call and called back
5/5

It is a wonderful product, I would recommend it to anyone. No reply was ever received from him. This was my first attempt to use the call, so I was quite surprised when I met an owl that night. The only thing I am using it for is to speak to animals -- not to hunt.

I love it! The family of barred owls living on my property is an outstanding sight to see
5/5

Once dusk arrives, I call them on the phone, and they fly over and call me The owls put on a great show for me while I was having a barbecue with family. The group was dive bombed (gracefully, not aggressively The wave was about 10 feet above our It's like having both kids and knowing they can eat the numerous mice and some moles that live in the area.
