My pleasure! Thank you so much for your question. Both slings can bear cargo of varying weights, but their cargo capacities are very different. There is a 15L carry capacity available with the Freestone Tactical Sling, and an 18L carry capacity with the Freestone Ambidextrous Sling.

What is the waterproof rating of this item?

It is not completely waterproof. The Ambidextrous Tactical Sling Pack is water resistant.

Is there a way to remove the tippet strap so that you can ?

The tippets that hold the nylon cord are tethered by a nylon cord that has a Velcro closure flap on the inside of the outside pocket. Once you open the flap, you can release the knots. The process of swapping out your tippet reels is fairly straightforward. Have a great fishing trip and good luck.

Exactly as described on Amazon, this pack comes in its original packaging. I consider it to meet my needs. It's especially cool how the net is contained in a pocket. As well as a right and left shoulder configuration, I have also tried it. Can be worn on either side of the pouch. Would like to see an external pocket for a It is a wonderful hike in a river for anglers, especially if you hike in.

A lot of work went into this product and it is excellent! Throughout the years, I have used a fishing vest with large chest packs, as well as a large backpack

It was good to centerpin fish and to organize my gear, which I had a lot of trouble doing before it. I never expected to use this pack or to want to do without it, but now I will not be able to do without it. The fact that my chest is open makes it easy for me to cast and fight fish. I even love the ease of using the pack when I'm standing in the river and unclipping the bottom strap so I can swing the pack around to the pockets. I definitely agree with Simms on this one!.

The backpack is an absolute hit with my husband. Using it as a fly fishing tool is his hobby. If you flip the backpack around and wear it on top, you can easily reach in and grab what you want.
