The materials must be of good quality. I'm happy to report that the neoprene reel covers do exactly what they should, and are thankfully buoyant. both an ABU REVO SX and a Kastking Royale and these fit both of them perfectly. There is no reason a casting rod wouldn't fit inside these rod covers. There are plenty of casting rods that could be used. I feel as though the material is plastic. These covers are great for the rods I use every time I go fishing, I use them on 4 - 6 rods at a time. Here is It has so far been worth the money for me to tell 8 of my fishing friends. My purchase was for a 13 Fishing Creed GT 3000 and it fits perfectly. " All two can be found in my house Since I keep my tackle and rods in my car from the first day of trout fishing until the snow flies again, I keep my pc rods in my car as well. The rods would tangle when in the trunk, and that was one thing I hated. This was picked up so that I could slide the rod (still assembled) into the sock, tighten it up, then remove the sections from the sock once they are in the trunk, and fold them in half to fit there.
