I have not fished with this yet, but 3/5 of the hooks were dull on the only package Cheap, springy, and stiff, the mono is in no way a good choice. While I do agree that the mono will have good abrasion resistance, I also think its stiffness will be helpful for holding lures away from the mainline when cast.

After action report Works great with Micrometering the diameter of the line confirmed that the mainline and snoods are true to their claimed specifications. The thickness of 6mm and the pixel size of There would be 40 pounds and 25 pounds of force required for each test. I couldn't tell the difference between the Mono and Marathon MMB at first This is 119GL Despite its diameter being advertised as 16 inches by the marathon, it is actually larger than 16 inches. claims 50# main and 30# snood on the measurements that I took, but I only measure A thickness of 5mm and a thickness of Although the marathon is only 45mm or 25# main and 20# snood, it is actually only 25# main. The price difference between these and the Marathon Sabikis at WMT is not only substantial, but the spec they claim is accurate It would have been a 5* if the hooks were razor sharp right out of the box, but I am delighted with the product as is.
This is junk. For the first time, I was extremely disappointed with these today. Five of the ten hooks we used today made it back home out of the ten used in the sabiki rigs. Croaker were as large as 1/4 pounds and the hooks were torn right off when fishing for small ones. After we had lost half the hooks and were taking away the bait, I pulled off one hook cleanly with two fingers when we were done fishing. I am not happy with these rigs as they are poorly made and are garbage. Buying it is not a good idea. It goes without saying that Walmart's ones are better made.
Mackerel has been wiped out by this rig! Compared to the traditional bucktail flies, which get stained after being used in salt water, these are much better.
There had been a mistake in the spelling for good for smelt. It's in the description or I saw it there. The hooks are 1/0, so it would be impossible for a smelt to bite them. )
You're thinking maybe This is either a 12" or an 18" smelt. It might be worth a shot LOL they really are 1/0 BIG hooks but I was hoping that wasn't the case. I'm moving on to the Thanks a lot!.
I used a 3 oz weight in strong current, and had no issues at all. I will definitely place another order.
They are not the same ones I get from the tackle store. One of these was used by my friend and I was reeling in mackerel 3- I also used one of these. In favor of him by a factor of four. The error may have been caused by the user. I will try one of these to be sure, but they look to be of much lower quality than I am.
It's hard to believe how many I got for the price. I gave some to my friend since you can re-use them over and over.
If we can go to mexico, this would be just what I was looking for.
