I think this is the best deal out there but it needs some work
4/5

In a pinch, I purchased these from my local hardware store a few years ago, because they are inexpensive. Be sure to pay attention to reviews to avoid the problems some people have complained about. Get Ny- or even better, get Ny- The lock nuts (also referred to as aircraft nuts) were used instead of the normal wing nuts they use) *fyi this year I pulled five. There is a smallmouth bass out of these traps 2 weeks ago that weighed 2 pounds,.

In fact, they do No doubt they'll accomplish your assignment, yet remember that what you pay for, you get
3/5

The materials that these things are made from are very cheap. It also seems like they can be tripped pretty easily, so you can get a false alarm out of them if they are overwhelmed by wind or if you are using live bait. It's not that big of a deal as long as you don't mind running around checking your lines. You can buy these for a reasonable price and test out whether you like ice fishing with tip-ups before you spend a lot of money on larger gear. However, since they come untreated, you may have to paint or stain them if you expect them to last very long. You will be able to pull in some fish if you choose any of these if you are new to ice fishing or on a budget.

First time users should be fine
3/5

The reason I bought these was just in case some of my older ones finally broke down. The flags broke after a couple of uses, as did two of the reels. One of the last reels sheared off. If you plan to ice fish regularly, you may want to spend more.

Buy this product and do not use it! There is no effort to achieve A ZERO star rating should be an option
3/5

It does not even deserve to be called a product. There is no way I could figure out where they got the defective 5/16 plywood. A bare plywood sheet in water would deteriorate, wouldn't it? Indeed, it separates and swells. was made of cheap plastic that could not stand up to cold and wind (one of three has been blown away). In this case, the line was not available There is a waxed STRING which absorbs water and sticks to the ice. And the spool sits at just under four inches below the ice. And, most importantly, it takes up almost two pounds. This is not a Laker rig since it requires a tremendous amount of force to trip the flag. It's a great product in my opinion, and I didn't expect any great product for the money. For two kids going out for the first time, and to see what $16 bucks can get you, this purchase was a few extra lines. You put in a lot of work to catch ice fish, so these small things could ruin someone's "First" time. SPEED THE MONEY. The best thing you can do is to get one good line instead of three Last but not least, I'm not an expert fisherman, so good luck to you!.

I'll point you in the right direction I thought the ups looked good
3/5

In the week prior to receiving them, I got a letter from The tip-top looks at first glance like a I thought the ups looked good. It came on Wednesday, and the following Sunday we took them to the ice. Trying to open the cross pieces completely, they would not act as a 90 degree angle around the upright post. thus, looking down on these, they didn't form a nice " X ". It would have been better if the two pieces had been screwed off by a little. Second problem is the laminated pieces of wood on the main piece, which holds the flag, are beginning to come apart as soon as the flag's top is pushed on it. Look at how cheap the screws are that hold everything together.

I am concerned about them even though they work
3/5

The quality of what you buy is determined by the price you pay. The line sat too high on the tip up and I experienced my first breakage after 7 or 8 days on the ice. The line didn't seem to be damaged by themselves and I had no further problems with them following 7 or 8 days on the ice. As far as I can tell, most people either place the line in the water or outside of It seems the line has been placed in a small area where ice will gather around your line if you do not keep your holes clear. The line also seems tightn while everything else seems As a result, I did not get any wind ups, neither did I lose the bait, so they worked fine for me.

That's a good tip - For those who are on a budget, this is a plus
4/5

There has been some praise for the low price of these. Why do people come here? What do they really expect? The three tips you get today are It costs under $20 to buy a pole and a small net. What they do exactly, as expected, is what they should You should keep a budget in mind. Ice fishing can be difficult if you do not know where to begin, but there are several things to look into Getting up is the best course of action.

This is what you'd expect
4/5

I used it for the first time during an ice fishing tournament, and it worked well. In order to fix the "drag," you will need a Philips head screwdriver. Over all, they are pretty cheap in terms of design and materials, but they are also cheap in terms of cost. We caught a few perch using them. Considering their appearance, I cannot speak to the durability of these, but it seems that they might not last for.
