If you're willing to take this knife apart you can make it feel a little "cozier" in your hand. The rest of this review will be divided into things that are good, things that are bad, but can be fixed, and one thing that is bad but cannot be fixed. Here are some of the good things Please continue reading. . . Designed by Dmitry Sinkevich, this knife is pretty cool to look at. Please continue reading. . . This knife is a perfect size for a small EDC carry knife, especially for those who have smaller hands. The Kershaw flipper in this picture is a manual flipper, which is very Defensibility is good in this case. Please continue reading. . . This is a true deep carry pocket clip with a reversible pocket Please continue reading. . . The pivot bearings are mounted in a bearing Please continue reading. . . The blade centering is fine. Here are the bad spots (that can be fixed) Please continue reading. . . There is a lot of sharpness all over this knife. A knife can have only one sharp edge, which is the part you use to It should not be possible to cut yourself on the flipper tab and handles. This problem can be fixed by removing the knife (using T6 and T8 torx bits), and then smoothing everything with sandpaper of 220 grit. After about ten minutes of sanding, I was able to fix the problem. Be sure to knock the edges off the sides of the flipper tab in addition to the handles. Please continue reading. . . This is because the linerlock tab has paint on the locking surface (pointed out by a previous reviewer), causing lock stick and inadequate locking up (for me). Getting rid of the paint on the locking tab from the liner can be fixed by sanding it with the same 220 grit sandpaper used for Make sure not to sand off too much metal, as if you sand off too much, your lockup will be ruined and you won't be able to fix it. My only goal was to sand until all the black paint was gone. Please continue reading. . . As soon as the knife is flipped over, the blade is coated with thick grease which slows down the flipping process. To fix this, remove the knife, wipe off the surface with alcohol and use a rag to clean it then reassemble it This is done by lubricating it. It is not necessary to use expensive knife oil, you can use regular 5W-8 Oil with a 20-percent tensile strength is also acceptable. Please continue reading. . . As shipped, the pivot screw has a slight tightness to it. After you have done the previous two fixes, you can fix this by only tightening enough to remove the blade play, and not more than that. Listed below are the things that are bad (that you cannot Please continue reading. . . steel used in the blade is 8Cr13MoV, which is pretty much the lowest end steel on the market. There are many knives under $30 that are made of 440C or D2. The Atmos could be made better with a bit better steel, or Kershaw could make a $60 version The $70 version is made with Sandvik steel and is manufactured in the USA. It would be nice to use steel that is better than that on the Atmos, but I do not want to spend $260 on the There is probably a better USA-made version for under $100 than the Kershaw Skyline. I was able to improve the ergos and fix some other issues, but it took me about an hour to make the Kershaw Skyline one I would carry. would be quite frustrating when you have the option to buy a Ganzo knife over this one which costs merely a few bucks more, has a better steel, and has smoothed edges from the factory.

Is that good? The short answer is, yes, for a kershaw imported from the United States
4/5

But what makes you different from the competition? Then again, maybe. Compared to the budget or import Kershaw line, this is a big step up it has a ball bearing pivot with a very nice flipping action, nicely done G-10 scales, a deep carry clip, There is 96 ounces in a cup. The weight on my scale is 1). This case's design is great and I think it's its biggest positive. Plus, it is one of the few sub 2 oz cases. The blades of the knife have to be at least 3 inches long. Kershaw may be worth more, but their steel choice is subpar. The competition is offering better steel at the same price. Although I wish they would go to 14C28N. There is no sense of being cheap about it, I think it feels light and vibrant. Often, knife companies intentionally add extra weight to their knives for the sake of making them feel more quality. I'm grateful Kershaw didn't take this approach. Moreover, Kershaw is moving away from speed safe models due to the declining sales of its more recent speed safe designs.

This is yet another Kershaw hit
5/5

I am hard to please, as you can tell by reading my reviews. I give this a solid 5 out of This is *br1. In addition to the concealment clip, it also included a deep holster. I was able to save a few bucks just by using that. The second is. As for the steel, it's just good enough.
3. However, this is at very least a letter opener in size, not for cutting cardboard. There is no hesitation in the action. There is a slight issue with the knob's size, but it works fine otherwise. The fourth point. I like the 10 handles, which offer a good My personal preference is to use another knife in order to provide me with an extra few millimeters of access to The adjustment is easy to see once one stares at the knife a while, but it takes a little bit of concentration to notice it. Note 5 They appear to be brass, perfectly centered, and appear to have a great bushing system. The Kershaw chill and The Kershaw Method, both available for $70 each, are part of this collection. They are all the same. In the end, it wasn't worth what I paid for Skyline, which offers little more than 7
9. EDCs have a responsibility to protect the environment. In my opinion, not the best choice. . . but if you are looking for a back up,or a blade that is ultra concealable, any of the 4 I mentioned can easily serve that purpose. In closing, I would like to make a few remarks. The laws of a number of states restrict the carry of only this type of knife. Aside from that, spring assisted is outlawed or discouraged. Don't just think about tomorrow be prepared for it.

By combining the Atmos and EDC, a hole in the market was filled
5/5

KVT Ball Bearing Opening knife is the first of its kind I've The design is nice to me. I appreciate it a lot! As someone who has seen many overpriced, side auto, custom, assisted, etc. guns, I liked the look of this gun, but was reluctant to buy it. For a few reasons, I'm glad I ordered it for my everyday carry There's truth in the fact that Kershaw is making a good knife and listening to what we want in a knife, instead of making it outrageously overpriced, somehow unique, and missing the main features I'd like like a deep carry clip, or even in black. As a Kershaw fan, I remain humble to admit I wasn't a big fan until I had the ZT0450CF, which changed my perception of the KAI Brand in general. There is no doubt that these are great products!.
