I think a label on the front should say Everything you need to start tying your own flies except a half hitch tool, head cement, lead wire and I'm sure there are more The kit is a fantastic gift for someone who wants to learn how to do this craft. However, I am very disappointed that I need additional items to make it.

The DVD is included, as well as a guidebook. In addition to the needle point applicator, I have added the needle point. There are a lot of blunt edges in the original. Overall, it is a fantastic kit to start out with and expand with.
