I'd like to use these to tie some of my own jigs and flies in some deeper river current for walleyes, so what is the approximate weight for each size?

Because tungsten is much heavier than brass, no one I know has ever weighed each bead size. For your application, I recommend tungsten beads and a bead size larger than the desired hook size. The Henry's Fork and South Fork of the Snake River are my favorite places to fish. I believe a 2 is appropriate. 8 3mm tungsten beads are more than enough to quickly take down a 12 jig hook, especially if you're fishing a double nymph rig. I hope this was of some assistance.

For my very small (size 18 or smaller) nymphs, I use a lot of tungsten beads and spend just as much (or more) time putting the bead on the hook on other brands. The fly tyer will appreciate these beads. They make the job easier by going easy over a scud style hook. Plus, it was less expensive than the big names. I was also delighted to find a chart indicating which bead size corresponds to which hook size.

Beads were delivered in the wrong order

I placed an order for a 100-piece set. 2 pieces per pack 8mm silver slotted beads were received, along with 100 regular un-slotted beads. Beads with slots When Blue Wing Olive sends out the right beads, they're fantastic, but their bead quality control is suspect.

The metallic orange is a favorite of trout

I used the metallic orange to tie some flies and was rewarded with a lot of attention from trout. I then placed an order for more orange as well as a couple of other metallic colors, such as red and green.

Excellent product! The Tungsten Bead products from Blue Wing Olive are extremely well made! I had the slotted beads shipped to me on a half-world deployment, and they arrived very quickly and in exactly the right amount (maybe a little extra), cool/helpful packaging, and will defiantly get flies down in the water column; overall, great product, I highly recommend the slotted beads!

Excellent value for money with a low-cost finish

Great beads, exactly as described, but the colors fade after just one day of fishing. The metallic coating isn't great; I've only used a few brands that I've been able to use day after day with minimal scratching. After a few hours on the river, these beads turn chrome silver as they touch the bottom.
