I'd like to like this product a little bit more
4/5

This item is fantastic in general. It has a one-of-a-kind function that it accomplishes admirably. Here are the problems I'm having. br>br>The installation calls for screws, which I found to be prohibitive in my installation, so I used zip ties instead. The battery wires are fine, but the power cord is too short; while some people can work around this, others will have problems. I'd recommend either providing a longer cord or having a plug on the device where you can plug in the desired length cord. You can offer what you consider to be standard while still allowing your customers the flexibility they require. The light from the LED indicator is dim and insufficient. I'd like to see a more prominent indication of the situation. Even if it means bringing the LED to the housing's surface, it's a step forward. This is installed on a daily driver car that occasionally sits for a few days without being used. There have been numerous reports of dead batteries due to unknown or undetermined causes. My solution was to install it and plug it in at least once a weekend, and the problems went away as a result. When the weather brings rain or snow, you'll want to make sure the power cord mates with the power supply line in a way that is protected from the elements. I chose to make it necessary to open the hood, connect, and close the door, but not to latch it. It's a little inconvenient, but it appears to be the best option in terms of functionality. Having said that, I enjoy this product and plan to purchase it again. Hopefully, it will be a better version. Despite the fact that I concentrated on flaws, this is the best I can come up with, so I must credit those who introduce new technology. This product performs admirably and fulfills its intended function. The fact that it is so close to receiving a perfect score bothers me.

Only suitable for a few applications; not compatible with side screw batteries or vehicles that draw a lot of current
3/5

This product was something I really (really) hoped to like. It appears to be well constructed, and I was looking for a reputable name brand that could be mounted on a wall. I'm looking for a board maintainer for my 2003 GMC Yukon, which has a intermittent problem. When keyed in, there is a 75A parasitic load. off and taking a seat Because this vehicle sits for the majority of the time and is only driven once or twice a month, it needs to be charged or I'll have to buy another battery. The yellow paint pen purchase date on the batt is December 2018, as can be seen in the photo. Until I bought this Noco unit a few months ago, it was on a big name charger (unit was too large to close the hood, but it kept the charge full). This appeared to be a well-made, high-quality solution, and it was my first experience with Noco products. It's well packaged and comes with a nice, well-designed mounting clip/Velcro solution that's easy/quick to install, but it's missing a few extremely common use cases. The included ring terminals are __too small__ to fit any vehicle that uses side screw type terminals (GM/Chevy trucks, for example). For each terminal, I had to cut/modify the vehicle rubber safety boots and replace the included ring connectors with larger gauge ones that I already had. hand (For a permanent installation, I crimped, soldered, and heat shrunk the new ring connectors before covering them with protective ridged conduit insulation. I had hoped to enjoy this solution, as I previously stated. The Noco connects to the battery via a direct-wired cable (there is no connector between the Noco unit and the battery), which makes it difficult to remove or return the Noco, for example. __NO parasitic load__ is supported by this charger. That is, if one of the battery terminals is disconnected from the vehicle, the battery will reach a full charge of 12 volts. 9v (or better), but I bought it for the 2 Amp charge rating because my vehicle only draws a small amount of current when it is not in use. Given that my high CCA battery (800cca) is barely used and was maintained prior to this unit but I can't keep it topped off, I suspect many people will purchase this charger for —Exactly This Reason—, it is not appropriate for this use case. When I tried to start the vehicle, it showed a charge of 12 volts. Although I had 6 volts on a good high-end meter, I didn't have enough amperage to roll down a power window or operate the blinker relays. The battery had a reading of 12. After weeks on this charger, the voltage was at 6 volts and the status light was solid green (indicating that the battery was fully charged). I'm going to put the 25/10/5 charger back on this truck after testing it on my motorcycle battery. I'd like to try a 5a version of this, but I simply don't have the time to be disappointed once more. For the record, I have a lot of 12v power experience (30 years of cars, motorcycles, boats, trailers, tractors, generators, and so on). The wires to the battery are too short and the ring connectors are not large enough, and the AC power cord is also too short; I had to mount the unit upside down to get enough length to reach the wheel well. It is a well designed package, and I have no doubt it will survive UnderHood conditions for a long time, but it doesn't have enough amperage for common use cases and doesn't appropriately display when it is unable to meet current demand. Perhaps a better fit for power sports applications on smaller batteries with no parasitic draw, but it does not meet the needs of the average consumer with a modernish vehicle with onboard computer(s) constantly drawing power.

Although I like the concept and design, it will not fully charge my deep-cycle battery
3/5

batter is being cycled Rather than keeping the trailer's electrical system energized, I use this to keep my camping trailer battery charged while it's in storage. It's well-made and simple to set up and operate. Small. br>br>However, it does not fully charge the battery in my RV. I've now tried it twice, once in the store and once in the field. It never charges more than 12 volts, no matter how long I leave it connected. 4 volts. After becoming frustrated with this on both occasions, I connected my RV's onboard power supply to an AC source, which properly charged the battery to 13. 4 volts. br>br>As a result, it's a waste of money for me, and I'm out $40. I was hoping to enjoy it, but it was not to be.

Designed to be used in a vehicle's engine compartment - Fits in the trunk of my Honda Odyssey (which has limited space)
5/5

The fact that it is temperature compensated over a wide range and has a de-icer Its sulphating feature makes it a great option for battery maintenance under the hood. My Honda Odyssey has a constant 1/3A current leak (door latch mechanism or possibly the mobility PLC controller?). ), and this charger ensures that my battery is fully charged and in good working order. The indicator displays the charge level as well as any faults. Water cannot enter the enclosure because it has no openings. The unit comes with a cover for the 110v plug prongs, which I use to keep them protected from the elements when not in use. I've had this unit for more than a month and it's been fantastic. br> I've also had a NOCO Genius for over a year, and it can crank a big engine even if the battery is dead. NOCO products have impressed me with their engineering.

AGM Battery Charger is a type of battery charger that is used to charge AGM My Honda 3 had a dead Optima AGM battery
5/5

0L car. Due to low mileage in 2019, I didn't keep it charged. It's been about a year since the battery was first used. I tried using a standard battery charger, but it didn't help with the low charge. I tried the NOCO GENEIUS2D after seeing it advertised on Amazon. It took me around 2 minutes. After 5 days of charging, the battery has recovered to 75% of its original capacity. About 1. It will take another 5 days for the sloid green to appear. Now everything works as it should.

It's a small creature, but it's a force to be reckoned with (As of this writing, the charging cord has split and is no longer usable
3/5

) I was able to keep my battery charged and conditioned even in sub-zero temperatures. (After three months of use, the charging cord has split at the plug, exposing the positive and negative copper AC wires. ) Very dissatisfied with the longevity of the product).
