This was purchased to power my sailboat's two AGM Duracell series 27 batteries. Despite the fact that the batteries are only a week old, the charger declares them to be defective and shuts down. Avoid NOCO products if you rely on your batteries to run your bilge pump when you're not on the boat. I tried contacting customer service for over two days and received no response. I switched back to my old Promariner 5 amp charger and everything is still charging fine; I was looking for a higher quality charger and NOCO failed the test; I'm out $200 and can't leave my boat without knowing the batteries will stay charged. ProMariner will be my new home.
I liked the appearance of this unit and the apparent functions, but there was no owner's manual available on the website. However, it appears that only one bank is operational after installation. Even though the battery is connected, the second bank indicates that it is unavailable. I went to their website, but there are no manuals or support information. I'm waiting for a response from the customer service department. br>br>The company's support team has yet to respond to my issue after two days. The unit continues to be non-functional. I'll be returning it and replacing it with a different brand, but I won't be ordering from them again.
From the first day, everything worked perfectly. Keeps my two 12V AGM deep cycle batteries fully charged AND quickly recharged when 40% depleted. I made some changes to a server rack 1. In the event of a power outage, I'll use a 5KVA UPS to connect these marine batteries in series and power my two servers. The UPS included a set of four smaller 6V batteries, which were costly to replace on a regular basis. Although the UPS can charge the two batteries slowly over several hours, I bought this NOCO to speed up the charging "full recovery" because power outages occasionally recur after a brief "back-up" period. "on" time frame.
One of the charging units failed due to a problem. I returned the unit, and they examined it before sending me a brand new one. Any issues appear to be quickly resolved by the company. Their only flaw is that they don't keep you informed about the repair's progress. John.
The house batteries have a charging system, but the chassis batteries do not. We have a class A motorhome that sits idle for months at a time. This device was installed to keep the starting batteries charged and safe. Despite the fact that the house batteries were fully charged, I was unable to operate the microwave because the house batteries had lost capacity due to a sulfa cation problem. Before purchasing replacement batteries, I decided to test the charger's repair function. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the batteries had been repaired, allowing the microwave to be used once more. NOCO chargers have always worked well for me, and this new system is even better.
I decided to test the repair function on my truck, which has two batteries, before installing it in my boat because it charges multiple chemistries at the same time. I removed the batteries and replaced them with the charger. It now turns over much faster after the repair mode on both batteries has been completed. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
In a marine application (within the boat console), it is simple to install and set up. It took about 30 minutes to complete the installation, which included the removal of an older, different charger. The charger does exactly what it says it will do. I would strongly suggest it.
I've only used it to charge four AGM 35 Amp hour batteries so far. I bought it because of its ability to charge two batteries at once; it's a tough charger that can deliver up to 10 amps per battery (20 amps total) and can support regular lead acid, AGM, and even Lithium batteries. Next, I'll charge a few 100-amp-hour batteries. If anything changes, I'll update you. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a dependable power source.
